The ancestors roar is literally a troll. It’s bound to cause massive sibling rivalries with one being the rightful heir being normal in power yet the younger sibling is op as shit. I’m kind of surprised Scar didn’t use it on Mufasa like immediately after getting it.

Like what if the king or queen of the pride lands is tyrannical like Scar was the lion guard especially the lion with the roar should be able to use the roar on the ruler because they disrupt the circle of life, it’s like the avatar because their duty is to the world they need to put aside personal morals and values for the sake of it.

It could be a siblings thing? I know me and my sister act a bit differently around each other than we do around others. Plus I’m pretty sure the show takes place after the start of Lion King 2 where Kiara meets Kovu and has the whole “becoming queen” talk with her dad. Maybe this is a weird middle ground of sorts, between her not wanting to be queen as a little kid and accepting it as an adult? Like she’s trying to take the step to accept that responsibility? Not totally sure, but that’s my guess

To be fair if we get technical we can assume that the circle of life is a sort of natural order, which may or may not be fueled by some kind of god/spirits.
In the first movie mufasa clearly cares about and maintains the circle of life but is killed and usurped by scar who literally couldnt care less. This literally somehow caused a drought and killed all the prey in the pride lands. We dont know how exactly scar managed to suck that muvh but obviously its possible.

    Minor correction:
Simba legit thought he started the stampede. THAT'S why he blames himself. He actually thinks he killed his dad. Scar actually plays into this - he encouraged Simba to work on his roar (making it seem like his loudest semi-roar spooked the herd) and afterwards asked him "what have you done?" This is extra evil because he didn't need to do this - he was planning to kill Simba anyway and just chose to be extra cruel for the sake of it.
Of course, this only really works because he's a kid and never tells an adult about it so there's nobody around to ask the obvious question: If Simba's 'roar' spooked the wildebeasts, wouldn't they run AWAY from the sound?

Cam Clarke actually wanted to voice Simba in the series but he said the reason Rob Lowe was chosen over him is because "He gets the press to care"

I think the scar itself was meant to be a metaphor for trauma. We saw that Rani also had a scar (more than likely connected to her parents' death) but she had grown up in an environment where she got the help she needed, compared to Kion and Scar. Kion thought that his scar would disappear once he was "healed" and then was devastated that it wouldn't, something most people misconstrue with trauma and healing.

In general I think unless your willing to acknowledge that in this universe they’re doing a murder, you have to take a side on whether prey animals or predators can talk. Honestly now that I’m thinking about it, the circle of life could have been used to explain who can talk. If your animals that eat/are eaten by each other you can’t talk to each other. It’s obvious when hunting is happening outside of what is in the circle of life because both parties are sapient. It’s not perfect but it’s. Less weird than them all being sapient and just murdering each other on the regular.

To be fair, in the Lion King 2, Kovu was only exiled from the Pridelands because Simba thought he had tricked him into getting ambushed. But...yeah, the song made it seem like they were comparing Kovu to Scar all because he just so happened to have an identical scar on his face. Actually, now that I think about it, Simba was comparing Kovu to Scar a lot just because he looked like him.

During Zira's death in Lion King 2, there was a storyboarded part where Zira says "No, never", and intentionally lets go. They got rid of that line for obvious reason, but you can still see Zira smiling as she falls. It seemed pretty fitting because of how crazy she was. I really liked that this show used Kion's scar to represent trauma and the development of mental illness. It struck a chord with me how they had him actually have to work towards his recovery and it wasn't easy or smooth. I'm glad to have a show that teaches people no matter the age that they can get back to a stable place and be happy again, even if it's in a different way. A side note of scars representing trauma, it's pretty horrible of Mufasa to do that to Scar but murder is just a little too strong a reaction
Honey badgers are found in Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Indian subcontinent. It is the only living species in the genus Mellivora and in the mustelid subfamily Mellivorinae. Despite its name, the honey badger does not closely resemble other badger species. Instead, it bears more anatomical similarities to weasels. Like a skunk, it has a gland at the base of its tail that stores a stinky liquid just as powerful as that of its look-alike. They live mainly in dry areas but are also found in forests and grasslands. Honey badgers are good swimmers and can climb trees. With its long claws, the honey badger digs burrows up to 3 meters long and up to 1.5 meters deep.

In my opinion: although we all have scars or terrible situations we have been through, that does not completely define us; since, the same thing: although the scar on Kion's eye would always remain, he having already been relieved, the effect of the poison had already disappeared from him.

After seeing the recon of Scar’s backstory, it bugged me that Kion and Mufasa never had a “Ya know grandpa you were a dick to your bro, and aaaaalll of this could have been avoided.” “I know.” Conversation. Let alone a Cloud Mufasa vs Fire Scar song/conversation duet....where the bros would have reconciled. Jedi force ghosts Vader and Ben style. Scar had to get forgiveness and understanding from his grand nephew, (allowing his spirit to pass on) which had no part in the source of his transcending death rage....except by being the child of his royal replacement. Props to the writers for showing that not every wrong gets apologied for.

I always considered this show to be Disney's way of doing MLP: Friendship is Magic "for boys" (or at least gender-neutral.) They're both shows rebooting licensed kid's properties into multi-season fantasy epics written by people who actually respect children's intelligence, and with unreasonably beautiful animation for TV to boot. I hope we get more of these shows as the kids who grew up on FIM and TLG enter the animation industry.

Yeah binturong are quite the fascinating creatures! Here's more information about them: Binturong aka the bearcat are the only ones in the genus Arctictis, which means "bear-weasel" in Greek. They are members of the subfamily Paradoxurinae within the Viverridae family, which in turn is part of the Feliformia or "cat-like" suborder. Viverridae is the same family most civets are in. The binturong is native to South and Southeast Asia, ranging from Bhutan down to western Java in Indonesia. The animals spend most of their time hanging out in the treetops. The binturong is one of only two Carnivora members that has a prehensile tail, the other is the kinkajou! Yes, kinkajous are Carnivora despite their mostly fruity and nectar diet!
Binturong are Carnivora members but eat most anything that suits their fancy whether it's fruits, vegetables, birds, small mammals, and fish. Solitary animals that rarely come face to face, binturongs use their roasty, popcorn-like aroma as a calling card to say “this is my turf” and find potential mates. Yes, POPCORN-like, because of 2-AP, the same molecule that gives cooked popcorn its aroma! The female binturong is one of only a few mammals that can experience delayed implantation, which allows the female to time the birth of her young with good environmental conditions. This means that mating can take place anytime of the year.

But when it's in between the world almost ending for the third time it's a little too goofy y'know.)

I mean imagine you see how your dad gets killed and you blame yourself for YEARS for it then you find out, that the uncle the ONLY relative you "trusted" is ruining the land you grew up in and your father wanted you to protect, you kill that "lion" find out, oh it wasn't really your fault your dad died it was your uncle, THEN you kind of, have to fix everything your uncle did so the land is able to regenerate and prosper again, you have 2 canon kids and 1 semi-canon kid... I think don't hate me on that. So you have to deal with parenthood, ruling your kingdom, finding out who you are and suppress your trauma and emotions because you are king and have a family that you love so you have to FUNCTION you have to work. Otherwise the enemy of the land see you as weak and will attack you even more. Or at least... that's my take on "Why the fuck is Simba such an ***** in the series" also your daughter fals in love with the "bad-guy" tipe who resembles your uncle and might be an offspring of him A LOT which awakens your ptsd and your self-doubt even more and... oh yeah the mother of your daughters boyfriend trys to kill you... and your family.... so.... this is how I excuse the lame writing they gave him in the series... or at least I try to

I mean, he had little to no training to be king. And, was really the first movie about putting the needs of other over his?
When he saw Mufasa he was told he was his son, and that's it.
If anything, the first movie was about Simba having to take responsibility of a land for being son of the King, regardless of who Simba as a character at all. Even when he goes back to pridelands, he does while still thinking he killed his father. Mufass didn't even bother to clarify it wasn't his fault, just to accentuate how much who Simba is as a person doesn't matter, all that matters is that he is the son of Mufasa, and so he was born with a responsibility forced upon him.

@wolf-gh2dz if Simba actually had the knowledge to be a good king I would agree, if Simba had a real reason to be the one solving the problem aside from being the son of the king I would agree, of the lionesses at least tried to solve the issue themselves I would agree.
The main difference between the statements is that he was forced into those responsibilities, and not responsibilities he put on his own back nor responsibilities he needed to take care of because of his own actions.
There is a difference between "I must help those in need" and "I fulfill the role other impose on me." Simba doesn't help the pride because it is the right thing to do, if that was the case, Rafiki and Mufasa would have made emphasis on that, but nope, Rafiki and Mufasa made emphasis Simba being the prince, saying that his identity has more weight in this conversation than the moral about helping.

To preface, I adore speculative bio/evo projects, so to see different species of Trolls that have evolved in different environments, yet all fill the niche of sapient, human like (predators? Do Trolls eat meat?) had me hooked.
Mermaid Trolls, Fairy Trolls, Centaur Trolls etc! Not to mention the question of their technology. The Pop Trolls had wooden instruments, but otherwise lived rather primitive, agrarian lives; meanwhile the Rock Trolls had FLYING WAR MACHINES and electric instruments! They actually did that (almost) in "The Mbali Fields Migration", which was about halfway through season 1. The reason the Guard had to escort zebras and gazelles out of the Pridelands - during the wet season, mind you - was because they were running low on available grass in the best grazing locations. The episode literally opens with the two herd leaders fighting (no contact but still clearly lethal intent) over a patch of grass. Smash cut to Simba looking out over the Pride Lands that are - for this just this episode of course - almost entirely barren.
