  • Cadillac is making some BIG changes to their lineup! The ALL NEW CT4 replaces the Cadillac ATS and is promising to bring more value and style. Under the hood of the CT4 is 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 237HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's exterior has been reshaped with Cadillacs new design philosophy. On the inside you will find new materials and tech, plus some great room for a compact luxury sedan. Is the 2020 Cadillac CT4 a BETTER compact luxury sedan than the BMW 2 Series?

Joe Raiti, I noticed that too the tire shine on the ground the CT4 looks nice but I feel that when you put a Turbo charge on a 4 cylinder engine it puts a lot of strain on 4 cylinder engine and no sun roof but like always Thank You for posting take care.

Yeah.... it kinda reminded me of the movie Coming to America when Darryl's family gets of the couch and leaves Soul Glo marks after them.... :) :) :)
On a serious note, tire shine is the worst product to put on tires, it dries the rubber, and after some time you'll see small cracks in the tire.... not good!

Great review. I bought a CT4 2.0t to replace my 2016 ATS 2.0t. I loved the ATS but the CT4 improved on so many items. I like the rwd drivetrain. Back seat room is a bit cramped but I really don't need it. Very underrated car. Honestly, I like that there's not tons of them out on the road. Why drive a vanilla, boring Accord or Camry which are the same $$?? I've driven Cadillacs since the 1980s. Overall everyone I owned has been a great, reliable automobile. Even in the 80s with the dreaded 4100 motor I only had 1 Cadillac that needed major engine warranty repairs. In my case Cadillac has always stood by their products & so has the dealership.

The rear seating needs a slight concave look spinal back part design so that the entire rear seating arrangement appears more roomier and you "sink" at ease in a positive sense as a manner of speaking. It would mean that the luggage room in the back has to sacrifice an inch of the space though.

The Letter and Number badging crap, Cadillac started a few years back, is, "definitely", quite confusing! 🙄
Definitely, looks entry level, rental look, for a, "Compact", luxury car... Thankfully they're keeping up with edgey lines in the body, and not softening them up like M-B, is starting to do in 2020.
Positive, it's RWD! Your feedback on the road test, was better than I expected.
Performance trim levels, on all their vehicles. Is where they'll, "Shine", IMO!
I'm holding out for the CT6, "Blackwing"! 😳 LOL!
    1) If I can get a hold of one...
    2) If I can get financing, insurance, and pay for better roads to drive it on! 😵

Very good specs for a comfort tuned 2.0 turbo, 350n•m of torque in an executive rear wheel drive sedan... sounds delicious

Anyone know if you can run the 2.0t on regular gas and what the HP/torque would be reduced to.

Beautifully appointed for only being the Luxury trim, but I wonder with the decrease in HP and torque from the ATS 2.0T, does the new CT4 2.0T feel slower??

Not bad for an entry level luxury sedan. Though it's still under the GM umbrella - so you'll want that extended service warranty if you plan on owning this long term (And trade it in once paid off and the the warranty is up)

Sup joe. Like you those seats are too light if a color. In my opinion. If they switched the top colors on the dash to the seats and lightened up the dash would be nice. And good for the heat to have light colors on the dash

Great video, Joe! First CT4 review outside of car show footage I've noticed. This CT4 is *100 percent* a better luxury and sports sedan than the BMW 2 series. I'm actually a BMW fanboy, but the 2 series is FWD based and looks bloated and bubbly. No bueno.

@@jplew138 Yeah the old one is RWD. The 4 door one is FWD based on the F40 platform. And the title of this video is clearly comparing 4 doors.

“I definitely am going to zonk these letters. That’s one, two, three, four zonks.” LOL.
Great review! Raiti, do you think the CT4 base model is a bit sportier than the CT5 base (which was tuned more toward comfort than the prior CTS)? Also, I would think this 2.0T is more appropriate for power/weight ratio than it is in the CT5.
p.s. You should note that the grill texture is made up of tiny little Cadillac crest logos!

J T Nope. The top range V will most likely have a twin turbocharged V6 engine. But only time will tell. Even the CT4-V with the turbocharged 2.7L 4 cylinder will be a blast to drive.
