I like the background you chose for this video!
I made it 😅
@@LivingAnachronism . It looks fantastic. You Know your shading.
Back to Saturday Mornings!
I have a cheap gambeson from Amazon with detachable sleeves, so if anyone has something like that they can probably create a similar effect.
That outfit is a great match though!
What insane timing, I JUST started replaying Wild Hunt like 2 days ago and started thinking of what Witcher inspired getup I might wanna put together for the faires this fall
Same!
Seems it's Witching Time!
I havent. Its a coincidence
Very cool! Well assembled.
You're looking great, looking forward to part 2.
I love the 16th century tutor era background
Thank you!
The potion holder is well done
Jason Kingsley just gave you a shoutout on his latest video about cloaks
Wow! I'm actually sewing a witcher cosplay right now. How fortuitous! Would you consider reviewing the practicality of the Wolf school armor? 🐺
Yeah for sure, I'd love to do that. It may take some time before I can put a wolf school kit together, but definitely something I want to do. The Witcher 3 has SO MANY great armor sets!
I love having more regular uploads. Been missing that.
This is my favorite set from all the games! Feels the most Witcher-y to me and they added such great embellishments for W3.
Been slowly pulling together my cosplay set for this, so I couldn't be happier to see you tackle this!
The Manticore set is definitely my favorite set in the game! It's the one that I always set out to get XD
I need to finish my replay on both the PC and the switch 😆
Honest to god almost dropped my mouse clicking this video, the manitcore set is my personal favourite gear in the witcher and actually insipired my first LARP set!
. Glad you haven't left YT. Hope the move went well and you new adventure is as thrilling and fun as you need it to be.
Oh I haven't left, I'm just getting started. Had to take a small break because of the move tho. I did make a video about it, but if people thought I left, please spread the word if the opportunity arises
@@LivingAnachronism . Will do. Though it my just be YT not notifying me of new uploads again, cause I never got that video.
I really appreciate your critique of what is done in video games as opposed to how things work in the real world. That strap on your baldric that goes under your armpit is a perfect example. Without that the weight of the sword will drag the baldric around your torso but that kind of thing is almost never seen in games, telling me that game costume designers have never er tried any of the things they show.
Another is the width of the top of Geralt’s vest/sleeveless jacket. That along with the quilted reinforcement is going to restrict freedom of movement and probably chafe and cause blisters. Yeah, healing potions yada yada, but cosplayers don’t get real healing potions.
I’m looking forward to part two with your mods.
3:47 I would have thought hunting most things you'd want to consider cleanish clothes… unless they smell strongly of something other than you.
6:00 tie it at the front then swivel it round? I wonder if those straps are purely decorative, directly functional (eg, a shirt equivalent of trouser ties to keep excess sleeve material in line), or decorative with a mind to possible future functionality (might need a tourniquet at some point, might as well wear it on me at all times, just in case).
So excited!!!
Excellent!
Excellent video! Just in time too! Was thinking of putting together a Witcher costume. Also playing Witcher 3 ....again...for the 20th time. I'm looking at the D&D Call to Arms pieces I have to see what I come up with. This video just inspired me again.
Maybe I can get Burgschneider to sponsor a video, I'll pick dnd call to arms pieces and create a witcher kit. Even if I can't get the physical pieces I could still make a video on the pictures, but it would be neat to see everything fit together. They've also got a new sword in the call to arms line that looks pretty witchery imo. I know Calimacil has the licensed witcher swords too though.
@@LivingAnachronism I saw the dnd sword and i may make the purchase. I have the Calamacil Licensed swords, but they are way too long for me . They are gorgeous though. I HOPE you get the sponsorship. Looking forward to more Witcher vids.
Great vid
One of these days I really need to finish this game...
I really like how they improved the graphics, but nothing's going to beat for me teh original look of the Witcher's clothing from the first game. I just remember playing that game in high school and thinking how cool it is they got the Witcher's look right (that was befre Witcher 3 btw.). i'm glad someone else likes this armour too!
The Manticore armor style was originally from the first game (Geralt's default). There are a lot of cool, practical armor from Wild Hunt but TW2 Assassin of Kings, has the wildest jacket collection 😂 If you somehow able to make one of those thick combat jackets, please do make a review.
The outfit looks good. 👍
Thank you!
I love the Manticore!
Welding gloves, specifically TIG gloves, would make good replacements for your gloves. I've only seen them in white tho. 7:22 .
So cool!
But that's Geralts outfit from the first game, as far as I am concerned (because I haven't played any other game) :)
Neat
so, best way I'm aware of to pattern is to deconstruct it so you can lay each piece flat again, in which case make a reconstruction video too ;) maybe could use one of the 3d rendering phone apps to do it in software? idk ai can prolly figure it out
close enough
quilted leather for padding and durability of wear
Tie the armband in front and then rotate it.
I have sheep or rabbit leather.
Is it thin very enough?
Woah
where did you get the potion bottles from?
I'm happy to see that you have a high percentage of Likes compared to many other sites. Thanks for another interesting video
Do you make your own gloves or modify premade gloves?
👍
You say you might need new gloves, but I'm looking for the type of gloves like your currently wearing. Are you able to share where they're from? Thanks
They are John Deere gardening gloves. They come yellow, you can get them in a hardware store (at least I can in the US) and I simply soaked them in leather dye. They will stain your hands for the first couple wears if you do it this way.
@@LivingAnachronism Legend! Thanks. If you want longer gloves maybe you might be able to DIY something from leather welding gloves, they have longer cuffs but are also available in (suede) leather which you might be able to dye
The only thing wrong about the Manticore set is the spikes on the wristbands.
Stay tuned for part 2 cuz there is an argument for them IF they are made of silver. Monsters are hurt by silver and lots of creatures witchers fight will use bite attacks
What attracts knights in shining armor even more than damsels in distress?
Magnets.
The one big issue with witcher 3's armor design I have, ignoring its obsession with the mud-and-feces-caked monty python aesthetic with a lot of mooks, has to be the standard armor. Why is the mail in patches? Mail is already flexible.
Ive heard some really bad things about boots cuffed like that, too.
Every set of gauntlets in TW3 go over a pair of leather cannons, that's not just with this one. Mostly non-witcher armors do that.
I wished there was a mod that gave Ciri the Manticore set. God, I hate her default outfit.
