    7. Download “f.lux” to make your computer’s screen brightness adjust automatically to its surroundings 3:57

    SUMMARY:
    - Opening new tabs is an action that you do countless times during the day. Instead of doing it manually with your mouse, you can simply press “ctrl” and the letter T and a new tab will open.
    - You can type your problem into the Google search bar and read what Microsoft or the various tech forums have to tell you.
    - If you’re traveling abroad and you need to see how much money you will get with the exchange, you can simply write down the amount of money and the currencies of the country where you’re traveling.
    - When your laptop is on airplane mode it means that many features, like your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, are disabled. This takes some pressure off your battery and allows it to charge faster than if operating normally.
    - You can simply push “alt” and then left click on an image and it will be automatically saved on your computer in your Downloads folder.
    - There are various ways that can hide your IP address and make your browsing invisible. You need to install a good VPN on your internet browser so that it changes your real location.
    - Most computers have the night shift mode, which adjusts the brightness during the night.
    - If you are having problems with your computer’s speed, it might be the fact that your desktop is full of icons. Instead of having a folder for every little thing on your desktop, you can create one folder and organize everything in there.
    - If you don’t just want to change your password, but also find out who the thief (or thieves) are, then you can download Who Is on My Wi-Fi and maybe go confront them.
    - Deleting files and then emptying the recycling bin can prove to be very frustrating. What you can do is download Recuva, which is the top program to recover permanently deleted files.
    -Millions of people get hacked every day and you might be one of them at some point. Seeing your antivirus being turned off is one of the first serious signs.
    - Another tremendously useful shortcut is the one that exits your web browser. In this case, you press “ctrl” and then the letter Q.
    - When combining the “ctrl” key and the letter I there are various things that can happen in a total of 147 different programs. However, the most ordinary and common use of the combo is to turn text in Word and other text editing programs from normal style into italics.

    THEY FORGOT THE FOLLOWING: 1) center - CONTROL E; 2) bold - CONTROL B; 3) underline - CONTROL U; 4) close your word, powerpoint, excel documents - CONTROL W; 5) print document - CONTROL P; 6) change language (if you have 2 or more languages on your computer - ALT + SHIFT (HOLD ALT THEN PRESS SHIFT). These are the shortcuts I use all the time. Hope this helps. Almost forgot some very import computer shortcuts: CONTROL +Z - Undo previously typed work; CONTROL + C - copy highlighted work; CONTROL +V - past copied work. I use this to copy lengthy paragraphs into google translate, among other things. However, remember, if you have already "saved" your work and try to go back to "undo", it won't work.

    The one I found most useful that wasn't mentioned here, as somebody who watched lots of anime was Ctrl + W . It closes the new tab that is usually a pop up ad, this way you don't need to move the mouse 7 million times between the play button and X. Just keep the mouse on the play and press if a new tab opens Ctrl + W. Saved me so many annoying seconds lol 😆

      A true trick would be to know, that if you cannot update your windows computer, it might be because there is too much stuff in its update cashe. So if you clean it out, which you can probably use windows cleaner for (I use CC cleaner), then you can update again. You need to clean one thing at a time, else it will not work.

      @@rfvtgbzhn Actually with real hard drives it _is_ true, albeit a tad expensive. Due to wear of the head actuating mechanism, the positioning of the head from the spindle varies, so a very much narrower head can often discriminate between several tracks on logically the same cylinder. Obviously this requires removing the platter from the drive and placing it in a purpose-built and very expensive drive mechanism. Obviously solid state drives are not vulnerable to this insecurity.

I personally do not like a lot of tabs in my browsing. I try to keep it clean and simple. This works well for me, but I understand it may not be OK for others. I just don't like having too many tabs.

    hey bright side, my mouse glitches on its own like a teleport and then sometimes clicks on its own, so is this a sign of it being hacked? Its just for a temporary time it made these glitches for about 30minutes and then stopped is this a sign? It also didn't do something like a person with a mouse would do it was like it would pause videos and go to the top of the screen. and stuff so is this a sign. I'm a little worried. I have also been having some problems with the touch pad on the laptop that is why I was using a mouse. Sorry it would teleport to the top of the screen.

    I use PC. I purchased my first computer in 1978 and started writing accounting programs when I had to enter a program via keyboard every time I turned it on. Soon cassette recorders allowed me to actually save a program up to 11 lines reliably. After that disk drives came along and I could get serious about writing much longer programs. I used DOS and learned many keyboard shortcuts still used today by Windows operating systems (which came largely from DOS). I knew others who preferred Macs way back then but their keyboards did not have a numeric keypad which I considered mandatory for accounting type input. Therefore I never purchased a Mac for serious use.

    These are just a few of the things that I have found while using my Mac. These are the ones I use the most.
    On a MAC;
    Command C = Copy
    Command X = Clear (Highlighted text)
    Command V = Paste
    Command W = Closes Tab that you are on
    Command A = Highlight All
    Command R = Return to previous or Back
    Command D = Bookmark page
    Command Z = Undo
    Shift+Option+Arrow keys skips the whole word and and not just the letter (Much faster when correcting mistakes when not using the mouse or for quicker highlighting for copy and paste
    On CZcams with a MAC
    L = Fast Forward 10 seconds
    J = Rewind 10 seconds
    Spacebar = Pause or unpause
    I think there is also a 5 second fast forward and rewind but I can't remember what they are.

    Recover permanently deleted files? I don't know how much I know about PC's but if you delete something or perform simple formatting, those files are just marked as free space and will be lost after some other data replace them so It's not permanently deleted. When I was discarding discs and formating them then writing a script to fill them up with nonsense bull*hit and then formating them again was I doing it wrong?

  • @rahulr9539
    @rahulr9539 Před 5 lety +5

    Few Keyboard shortcuts added below...
    Moving junk files in Desktop to a Folder in desktop won't save anything,
    It is not only the number of files that reduces performance , it's the size of files,
    So move them to any Drive instead of C Drive,
    If you want it on your Desktop, create a shortcut.
    Because Desktop is a limited storage area allocated from C Drive.
    The folders that mainly take up your C Drive space are : Desktop & Downloads.
    Move junk files to other Drives from these folders , so that your PC will run faster.
    Few Shortcuts :
    Alt + Tab : Switches between currently opened windows (eg:Chrome,Notepad)
    Ctrl + Tab : Switches between Browser Tabs also works with applications let you open multiple tabs at once like Photoshop, Acrobat Reader etc.
    Shift + Ctrl + Tab : Same as Ctrl + Tab but in reverse Direction.
    Home: (Home key in keyboard) Moves Cursor to the beginning of the line;
    End: (End key in keyboard) Moves Cursor to the end of the line;
    Shift + Arrow keys : Selects text from current cursor position to the direction of arrow key you pressed.
    Shift + Home : Selects text from current cursor position to beginning of line.
    Shift + End : Selects text from current cursor position to end of line.
    Alt + F4 : exit an Application, Works on almost all Applications except Turbo C++ etc
