- You use it every day but it was hiding a secret purpose all this time! Take a look at your keyboard: why do letters F and J have those ridges? And did you notice that each time you make an omelette, there're strange red spots in eggs after you crack them? Common objects have hidden purposes you never knew about until now. There used to be a time when people took typing classes.
I learned how to type in school.
He says "people use to type with all ten fingers"
Yes that's true
I took typing class
Girls had to take tying classes when I was at school in the 60's. The key board was covered up we had to remember where the keys were if we got it wrong a wooden ruler would be slapped on our fingers. You learn pretty quickly that way.
The box grater works more quickly and easily upright, as intended, as you can exert more force grating in a downward motion, rather than on the horizontal, side to side.
6:34 you forgot to mention that the "5" on the 10-keypad also has a ridge to help you find your place without looking.
He also forgot to mention the keyboard 'secret' a second time, like he did with most other 'secrets'

The handles on a pan are for picking it up, not putting your spoon in, which would probably catch fire or melt on a gas cooker.
Put your spoon in there just takes all the product slide down the spoon. I don’t know why people keep thinking that’s what the handles are for! I think you and I are the only ones that recognize that.
How many times are they going to mention the margins on paper?
True!
@@debbiethibault9846 Several repeats in this "50"
Cool video. This would be better if many of these weren't repeated several times in the video. Not sure how this was missed in editing..
Even so, it's on rapid fire so at least we learn quicker and don't have to wait between tips..
They did it to get extra watch time by being repetitive
I bet they just combined 5 old videos into one
I also noticed the reapeats it’s so weird on how they missed it
It wasn't "missed" it was deliberate... to extend watch time.
My rule-of-thumb is to never click channels that have "BRIGHT", "SKY", or "SUN" in the channel name. They are conglomerate "content farms" and fact-checking is not a thing.
So what do you do with the slime after you clean your keyboard? I mean, that stuff can't be cleaned. Lol.
The 'f' and 'j' keys are called 'home keys' in typing class.
Like ice cream ever lasts long enough to get freezer burn!
Was anyone else yawning during the yawning segment? So contagious...
Yes and also yes when i see this comment
yea I yawned at that part
1:57 "Could I have some ketchup with this?"
"Sure." A bit later...
"Urgh, what's in this stuff?"
"Mainly pickled fish."
Anyone else who noticed that he repeated several facts in this video 😃
Yeah. It's redundant.
Yeah, have been looking for a comment mentioning this cuz I was starting to question my sanity lol

In 1960's the shirt loop was called a fruit loop. Girls would pull them off a guy's shirt to to "claim him".
True it happened to me
Okay, but that doesn't explain why it was called a fruit loop. Also, mating rituals in the '50s and '60s are insane. Like Betty Jean likes Bobby Ray 'cause she blinked twice, spun 2 times counterclockwise and farted to the left. Had she farted to the righy, it means you're friendzoned.

I bought a small, credit card sized, and about 1/4 inch thick solar calculator in 1978. It still works just fine.
I wish they had solar panels on mobile phones! (would they work though?)
@@agemoth No, it would not be nearly enough power. You can get powerbanks with solar cells, which are much more convenient because you can leave the powerbank out on the roof or patio all day while you keep your phone with you normally. They even have them with multiple panels that unrolls to make a larger collecting surface.
And the nice thing is that it doesn't need updates because math is math.
I just learned to do math in my head. It's so much easier than trying to find the calculator I used a couple of weeks ago.
I don't know why youtube make it so u can't see how many likes and dislikes there are
If you're on desktop it will let you see the likes but not dislikes
EDIT: can people stop replying to me
By using an extension on desktop, to can also see the dislike. I tried it and it works
I’m pretty sure you can decide to hide this or not when you upload the video, actually.
So you actually watch it.. Why would you need to know?
Hmm eerrrer
i have had my radio shack solar calculator for more then 45 yrs and i use it often still

Some interesting facts, but this video was not well edited. They mention the tabs that push in to keep aluminum foil from popping out of the box twice in less that 5 minutes, why doorknobs are made from certain types of metals, the tab on the rearview mirror, for example. The reasons for margins was mentioned THREE times!
Yeah, the video has parts that are repetitive AND parts that are redundant.

The little holes in aircraft windows have nothing to do with regulating the pressure in the cabin or allowing aircraft to fly high up in the sky. The outer window panes are robust and allow the aircraft to be pressurized so people don't get hypoxia and pass out. The inner pane is plastic. Its main purpose is to prevent passengers from scratching and damaging the critical outer panes. They also provide a slight insulation barrier by trapping air between it and the cold outer panes. The little hole is there to allow the air between the panes to balance with the changing pressure inside the cabin during climbs and descents.
I do not care
@@aryobagaspratama5119 Yet you cared enough to reply! 🤣
@@OneTequilaTwoTequila I do not care ( yet you cared enough...)
The reason aircraft windows are round ? The first commercial jet airliner the Dehavilland Comet had square windows ,the corners led to stress points cracking the fuselage and 2 jets crashing .the comet should have been far more succesful but for this.
So... It regulates the air pressure...
I knew more of them than I expected, but now I know 2x as many & some will be VERY useful indeed! Thank you!
It’s funny that something like keyboard ridges and finger placement isn’t better known in our tech filled world.
Younger people wouldn't know that, but Gen X people still remember, and maybe some elder Millenials as well.
I agree, I thought everyone knew this. Didn’t everyone have typing class, or a computer, or typewriter growing up?
@@chefp0l065 I think BrianJNelson is right -- it depends on what era. And just having a device doesn't mean a person knows how to use it correctly. I remember in the old days, many people got along just fine typing with only 2 fingers.

I heard about a study made to figure out why (when geese fly in the V formation) One side of the V was almost always longer than the other. Several years and hundreds of thousands of dollars later... They figured it out. It's because ... There are more geese on one side than there are on the other.

I learned some helpful information from this video, but there is a lot of redundancy here. The purpose of margins in books is given 3 separate times.
No duh on the F and J keys of the keyboard, and the reason safety vests and traffic cones are orange.
The best way to clean a keyboard is, believe it or not, the dishwasher. Just make sure it's dry before you plug it in. Figured I'd share since I learned a couple new things.
Except the circuitry inside is copper and water corrodes copper.
I was about to say, there's a protection for this in it
Yea, decades ago (before the ATX motherboard design) I paid a lot for a Keytronics KB-101 Pro keyboard. One thing I was amazed with was that it was literally dishwasher safe.
@@CarlosArturoVelarde Circuitry is covered with "solder mask" and lacquer layers on a quality device. For a device meant to handle immersion, the control circuitry (nowadays it's just a tiny chip and a few surface mount components) will be potted or shirnkwrapped.

I didn't realize Bananas were herbs & Tomatoes fruit.
To save messiness on hotdogs, put the condiments on, then turn the hotdog over. This puts the condiments against the bread, and away from your face
Dress the bun and then put the hot dog in place. Its easier, keeps everything away, and the pressure keeps things like chopped onions from rolling out when driving.
storytime:
my grandpa (american) brought his side of his family to a meal with his wife and my parents (i wasn’t alive) and his mother asked my mom “what is this?” and my mom said a herb with the h sound included because that’s how you say it in japanese (my parents and other side of my family are japanese) and that’s also how you say it in British english. Being an american, my grandpa’s mother didn’t know that that was the way that some people pronounce herbs so she couldn’t understand and it was very confusing for all of them.
It’s Herbs not erbs That’s why it starts with the letter H.
I thought it was my Uncle Herb all ground up and put in a bottle. Was I wrong to think that?
Hey, did you know the margins on paper is there so rats don't eat into the text 🤯

I tried the spaghetti one & it didn't work
Because it is BS. the hole is there to let the water drain.
Repeat yourself much ? Repeat yourself much ? See ? Annoying, isn't it !!
You know what, the term ignorance is bliss is in my opinion completely accurate on certain things. I really didn't need to know about red coloring in food or the glossy look to some candies. I could have went my whole life without knowing those things and been completely happy. That's as far in the video I've made it. So I'll probably be posting again.
The saying is where ignorance is bliss it is folly to be wise.
Carmine is also used in makeup and paints. It can be called carmine, cochineal (name of beetle) extract, CI 75470, crimson lake, carmine lake, natural red 4, carminic acid... It's in a lot of things and we don't realize because it has so many names.
This is one of the most informative video I have watched, thank you
Appreciate your efforts
I tried the humming thing & my ears popped
Ahhh this is why my fruit loops taste the same lol
The bump under the F key (and the J key) is for typing then moving your hands off the keys, then typing again without having to look at the keyboard.
As a touch typer myself, they are extremely useful when typing large quantities of text. The bumps under F and J are used to put your index fingers on the two keys and then you can easily identify where each letter on the keyboard is.
i wish who ever put this content together did better at editing so we don't have to hear the same facts over and over,
Who else yawned when they asked about yawning 😑

The rear-view mirror tip is wrong. It's just the opposite. The tab is pushed forward toward the windshield for Daytime use and pulled backwards away from the windshield for Nighttime use. Another thing is when adjusting the mirror, always set it to Daytime before adjusting it, even if you're adjusting it at night. In that case set the mirror to nighttime after making the adjustment.
If you were to adjust the mirror the opposite way as described in the video, it won't keep an accurate adjustment when you change between day and night settings.
Interestingly, later in the video the go over the rear-view mirror again and that time they got it right.
When I read your comment, I had to stop and think for a few minutes to figure out which way was which! Lol. Interestingly enough, a lot of people don't know how that feature of the rear-view mirror works, or that there is more than one layer on the piece of equipment than just the mirror. A layer of glass is also part of the makeup and between the mirror and glass, moving that little tab changes the angle of the reflection coming into the vehicle. Another random fact for the fans! lol.
Back in 1981 my driver taught me about that in my first driving lesson. Many people simply forget it because of sensory overload during those early lessons.
My latest car doesn't have the tab. Instead, the mirror is photochromic (or a similar word), which makes it adjust automatically, dimming bright light reflections at night.
@@RWBHere I hated those new mirrors when they first came out. Now after 50 years of driving I'm sorta used to them....
