It's really nice to see people that are still willing to learn things even in such an old age. hope you are still learning more about CS
Great course. People such as myself who grew up with computers can easily forget that not everybody shared that experience. Some people actually are starting from the beginning.

You can say this a million times again. This channel is a legend in our lifetime.
I am 44 and Technologically Impaired. I appreciate this. I am dumb when it comes to computers but I want to learn so that I can become a Computer Programmer.
if you are watching this and want to become a programmer.... good luck lollll
its okay to start from zero the imortant is to keep consistent @channel11
Honestly, this is an important foundation for anyone interested in tech, and everyone is capable to learn how to code. As long as you put the effort required.
Salute to the journey!

I got a 10 for my computer class in high school and it was easy just ctrl alt delete and redo it if you answer wrong lol...
This course is better than brilliant. I am 84 years old and came through a professional career where total computer service was provided. So I have reached a dizzy retirement age as the original computer dumbo. By chance, I found this! It progresses at a speed I can follow and slowly defines all the technical terms. Just to say thank you is not enough to express my appreciation! I live alone and need to use and understand the Internet for my writing work and global connections.
Please add many different languages subtitles! You will save most of us from our relatives and coworkers

I have been a computer technician for more than 30 years. This is a great video for "newbies". And even though I have a lot of experience, I watched the whole thing. Nice job. 😊
Can you set my password and unlock my account.
@@immysaiyed2660Yep..
What domain are you on?
I need Admin access to your domain and also need access to your domains DC.
Once I have that, I can launch AD, bring up your AD object and reset your Windows PW.
I can also check and see if you're simply locked out from too many failed login attempts and unlock your Windows profile.
If you're not on any domain, I can remotely connect to your machine with TeamViewer and can get you logged in.
what to learn to work as a computer technician?
where you live??
Even though i've been using computers all my life, i will still watch this video just in case i'm missing something :D
Always good to be reminded.
I go to a vocational school and I am in a beginner computer course I already have some experience with digital literacy. However, most of my classmates are older folks so I pitch this video to my teacher and I think she’s going to consider putting it in the first course. I think this video summarizes the basics in a understanding way.
How old are you and which class? This is great for the older generation.

This content is absolutely flawless! As a computer science undergrad, I'm amazed at how accessible and straightforward this video teaches the basics of computer usage. Congrats!
Thank you so much, at 62 I got tired of asking my kids and grandkids
Thank you for this basics course. I've been recommending it to people who want to enter tech recently!
Im a computer scientist and found this video is better put presented than any thing I can do.
It's a shame that I had to pay my university $2,000 and buy a $100 textbook for literally this. Great video!

Wonderful video! I have 5 years experience in IT, and found this very engaging and informative. I shared with my parents who are not very tech savvy. Hope they enjoy it.
I bought this computrer. It's called ZX Spectrum. I can even play games after buying some cassettes. Takes a few minutes to load and usually it works. I hope this course will teach me more about what computers are and how they can be useful.
This is great for seniors, we need more of this. Thank you
We teach Senior Citizens basic computers and basic Microsoft. This video is extremely helpful in ministering. It enhances our teaching.
Thank you
I am glad and at last i found your uploaded video. For a beginner , it is really an eye opener. To learn the proper way to use the computer. As I grow older, I still keep on learning. Plenty Thanks for the tutorial for beginner. My APPRECIATION.👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ .
Great video! I know basics but this has helped me with advancing. I worked cell, microwave and radio towers building towers and installing the systems 80-900 feet in the air, without tower workers we wouldnt have access. I helped build everything we use for wireless communication but aside from printing schematics of time records for my crew I never had the need. Thanks for putting this out.
I have been looking for this kind of Basic video for long time! One thing I like about it is you are not talking too fast! Some of videos is jumping so fast you can’t understand. Great job!
I am so glad I found you!
Thank you again!😊

I haven't finished the video but it's amazing the simple and clear way to explain what a computer is. Thank you !!!
I know a lot about computers, but again I'm here watching this very well explained video. And yea, if you add different subtitles this can have a lot of views.

I'm 36 and I've literally never had a desktop PC before in my life. I haven't had a laptop in over 10 years. I just didnt need one as a professional bartender lol.
Now I'm starting an accelerated CompTIA course and I'm starting so behind. I don't even know how to navigate the used laptop i just purchased for the class properly.
I need this stuff explained to me like I'm a 5 year old hearing about a computer for the first time.
I appreciate the vidoes about the very, very basics!
Wish me luck 😂😅💀
Why are you starting a CompTIA course? Career change?
Great video! I put together a Dell OptiPlex 9020 MT for my 66 year old, younger brother , who has never had a computer. Due to the nationwide push to provide connectivity to rural areas, he is getting a fiber internet connection, which is why I got him the computer. His router is being deliver and installed by the ISP on Monday, and I plan to be there with the computer. So, I've been trying to figure out how to give him a crash course. Well, your video is going to make that a lot easier. The only part that I found that isn't applicable to him is about defragging the disk as he has an SSD.
I beeeegged all in my family to come and only one helped and in 5 min..it was simple she was sooo thourough but left to another state and defriended me from my sister telling her a lie, that ended that good gift i had. Jealousy and no time has gotten many to pay out to professionals that see everything private you had. So we have a monopoly that many cannot even work..and are litterally in isolation
This video is one of the most essential videos ever made. Incredible!
Thanks for the great course. As always, much appreciated! ♥ ♥ 💯
I wanna get into IT but I've never been around computers in my life..realluly starting from the badics
such a great vid, loved it. even tho i grew up around computers i dont know anything since my brother took care of electronics. really helped me out in getting more independent

Thank you for this great video. I’ve used computers but I’ve learned more than ever before. Thank you once again.
Thank you for the clarity of this course. I’m the age where I know just enough to be dangerous 😅. I now actually look forward to playing around with my laptop rather than fear it 🙏😊
I live in a country where computers are not common got my first smart phone at 16.. and started using computer recently at 18. Sometimes it's embrrasing how little i know about tech and it's functioning, this was really helpful.
I'm kinda surprised how some people need to learn how to use computers.
@@anonymouscode1635 because we have not grown around computers no computers at home and limited access in school like once a week on a computer with no wifi or internet connection.
@@anonymouscode1635 Pretty ignorant comment. You've never worked in IT support have you?
@@JJFlores197 thankful I never have to do that shitty works. But my point is GUI is designed in a way that human intuition can easily predict what the function of a button . And learning these kind of things is insane to me .
@@anonymouscode1635 That's where you're not entirely correct. What is intuitive to you and me and many others may not be intuitive at all. You need to humble yourself and actually work with people who are not tech savvy. GUIs are not designed all the same. Some systems are great, others are terrible and others are absolutely horrid in terms of user friendliness and ease of use.
Absolutely superb! Nothing more can be said
For intermediate and advanced version please. 🙂

This is very informative...I have always wanted to but never gotten the chance like thanks for this platform
I'm so glad that I'm learning about basic computers!
Running the keyboard under the water was wild asl 😂
I work in K12 IT. I had a teacher a few years ago put in a tech ticket because her laptop screen developed a dark spot in the center. I took a look at it and noticed that section of the lid was warped. It looked almost melted. She tells me she didn't know what happened. So I replace the screen and lid and return it a few hours later. Then she tells me she lit a candle and put it right behind the laptop screen.... I thought to myself "You're lucky we don't charge you for this stuff".

Great 😃 help to senior citizens whose grandchildren (children of computer age) are sharper than their grandparents. Grandparents had no computers as computers became popular around 1990.
This video tutorial is good attempt to narrow the "generation gap".

I am glad I downloaded this. My 10 year is a beneficiary of this knowledge as well. Thanks
OMG THANK YOU! my Mother needs this sooooo bad❤
Informative ❤
This is an amazing video which clears the concepts and gives basic idea for a beginner .
This show is very comprehensive for an audience, regardless of computer knowledge and interest in computers to understand without difficulties. Since I can keyboard the same way I used to type on a typewriter, I use the microcomputer better than doing one kind of task on a single apparatus, of course like the typewriter. I relish seeing people use computers. A Windows-based microcomputer of my own choice works well for me.
That's great. Though, no one calls a computer a microcomputer anymore. That sounds like a pretty archaic term. I still see that term used in job postings that haven't updated their job description in nearly 2 decades.
@@JJFlores197 I thank you a lot. I owned my first microcomputer, a Cybernet all-in-one computer in 2002. I used Microsoft Windows XP Professional, and Microsoft Office XP Professional, which were user-friendly as easy as using a Macintosh microcomputer. That is the reason I would not want to return to the past. I discovered many techniques in using the business productivity application programs by myself. For your convenience and short typing, 2 decades equal 1 score. On September 17, 2023, you got another "like" from me. Thank you for typing to me. "Happy Keyboarding!" 💙
@@JJFlores197People do not keyboard like you and me. I speculate that artificial intelligence (AI), will relieve many users from doing the majority of the work by keyboarding it as input. This is why I want to continue using my microcomputer without the artificial intelligence in my way. Thank you for typing to me. Happy Keyboarding!
A very useful computer technology link that could help computer user, in order to avoid costly services of computer service. Thanks a for this educational link.

Hi, I need your help. I want to create a language in python 2.7.5 but I don't know how. Thanks for doing a video or even a post regrouping code or anything else. I also want to create an OS with this language, but that's an other thing. For the language, I only want that it can do maths, create variables, interactions with user like raw_input or input, data analysis ( like max, and min etc...), and finally, def function.
It willl be amazing even only if you answer my comment. Thx
Nice one. Can we now have something a bit more advanced, next stage of this.
Now next step is 'linus tech tips' and then again this channel. And even perfecting a single path that you will choose from this channel, will take years.
