I love any episode with the Master in it. Even the crispy corpse like one that is in this story. Although, it was certainly a relief when he stole Nissa's father's body, later.
I remember watching this, as clear as yesterday. I thought episodes without companions were brilliant, we only needed the Doctor - why bother with other people getting in the way?
Because the companion is pretty important to the formula. The companion acts as the audience surrogate, someone that we can relate to because this show is wacky and weird so like us they would need elements explained to them. If it was just the doctor he would have no one to talk to and he wouldn’t share his knowledge so the show wouldn’t make much sense
The companions in doctor who are sooooo important men, the doctor needs them

In the "when rose and the doc tor were separated forever" the series could have taken off from there with other universes parrallel. Like what happened to the time lords in that one?
BetrysMK heck, does the Doctor even exist in that universe? I mean Torchwood series 5 revealed that Captain Jack exists in that universe so the Doctor probably exists in some form at least

Oh there were. Heck there were a number of complaints over the fact that kids were some what shaken up with the image of the Doctor drowning at the end of this episode

Not gonna lie the series is getting worse but not because the doctor is played by a female but the stories and stuff, although I still like it and would like them to continue off course. Any one agree?
the current era / series is terrible and the Doctor should be male but classic Who is awesome well that's my 2 cents
