And it was that moment that made Tom Baker's Doctor my all time hero. The dude wasn't an evil alien or or robot he was just a jerk and he still put him in his place.

Perhaps I'm just having a fanboy moment, but Tom Baker is an absolute legend. Hands down, the greatest Doctor ever.
I completely agree Lloyd. Also, to the people that run this channel... thanks for putting these episodes up in bits and bites. So many youngsters think that *Dr. Who* just started with... and is only worthwhile in the current incarnations. I think this is a good way to introduce the older Doctors to that crowd. Plus, they are fun to revisit that way for us old timey fans.
I love all of the Doctors, all the way back, though Tom Baker was my first exposure, starting with _Robot_ when it first aired here in 1975 on US Public Broadcasting Television. We had Masterpiece Theatre, BBC News, Monty Python and Dr. WHO!
Also... as odd as this may seem... the other day I say that some youngster posted a comment on one of these vids with Tom Baker, saying:
"Wait... is that the _Curator_ ?!"
I hope they were kidding... but I expect not!

This is one of my all time favourite scenes from Dr Who. Immaculate in nearly all aspects.

The man who slapped Leela for giving the Doctor a tip to survive the test of the Hordha got what he deserved when the Doctor used the wood that had one of those creatures biting it and threw the creature onto the guy's left shoulder.
In the words of the ninth doctor: fantastic.
If Leela gave the Doctor a kiss on the cheek after he survived the test of the Horda, the tribe of would be puzzled.

Yeah Tom is cool, it is funny in colour though. Yes I might be that old. But this shows what 13 should be, get better writers and a new Dr Who. For 2021.
I really like 13. There was bound to be hate for the first woman Doctor. I feel like a lot of people dislike her on instinct and don't see how much she brings to the role.
But yeah, the writing could be better. I think they wanted so badly to distinguish between her and the previous Doctors that they went too far away in the writing.
@@deannaalbert672 They the old writers nailed t on most outings. They even had a female scripter writer turning all the original scripts into book from for traget book publishers. There were spinoffs from all Doctor Who . Just the merchandise failed, have you seen her sonic screwder where does she put that one. Look she doesn't take in the right way, even she has said it. Look mate it's a director, writer, thing, then it gets to the actor, everyone and I mean everyone wants more, just not SJW/whatever lectures. No.13 does that info dumps outside of the right time, the killing of white upper class and no real stand alone episodes. The rant got shorten , mate have a nice day.👍👌👌👍

@@deannaalbert672 Because it is a fuzzy line not wibbly wobbly time thing. No.13 who will be called Dr Karen, has not fromed up in the season a Dr Who for herself and at the cons she failed. Merch , failed worse than the last original doctor what's his face, Ace was cool. Dr Karen needs to regenerate away from the show to give someone else a far go. Well, before she stuff it for her run at other things.
In canon those of the Dr Who's race could wear bodies, tom breaker having a work date with the wife, fun anger in pink. In short I think Dr Karen failed at it, on memorable shot unless you want a fail list to say eat dirt, kill spiders, oh and aliens that come to honour the dead.
They'd be better to say the master monkeyed with the matrix, he has done it in cannon before and blew up a time splinter, with the last silly reveal as a think in there.
About it Dr Karen needs to end her time the the whovian universe on high somw how and bugger off. That's how simple it is. Let someone else have the fun. And have a nice day 👌👍

The Doctor has to shoot a rope with a crossbow to stop him falling into pit filled with the snake-like Horda.
@Coatshine: This might be way more information than you wanted, but here goes:
To prove that you _weren't_ guilty of heresy or similar offenses, you had to shoot a crossbow bolt at a rope that was pulling open a platform above a pit of Horda. If you hit the rope at the right moment, the platform would stop opening and you'd be cleared of the charges. However, very few people could pass that test regardless of their innocence.

I'd describe myself as more "annoyed" when I come across people who seem to have nothing better to do with their lives than to go online and whine like spoiled brats that "their" show doesn't fit whatever worldview they subscribe to these days.
@@retnavybrat This is a classic who comment section yet people keep bringing up the current era. You think I came to a classic who comment section to complain about current who ?. I didn't. Just because you are okay with the showrunner constantly deconstructing what Dr Who used to be it doesn't mean we have to be, I didn't change. Dr Who did. If people keep bringing it up I will give my opinion or defend people who get attacked for merely stating an opinion.
