After some of the things I have heard over the last few years about how Hindus have been taken for a ride, this lecture doesn't come as a surprise.
Now I long for the day we will see some meaningful corrective action in the curriculum thought in school and history textbooks so we can have future generations that are not so barinwashed and impaired identity and culture wise. Hopefully it will happen in our lifetime.

All colonial era historicity rests on the timeline of Megasthenes visiting India and meeting Sandrakottus , alleged Chandragupta , but whether it is Mauryan Chandragupta or Gupta era Chandragupta , there is no way to confirm. Since, the very book of Megasthenes's Indica is lost and only excerpts quoted by later historians of CE like Strabo and Arrian are taken as basis of colonial historicity.
Our NCERT ignores vast archaeological evidence of stone inscriptions to accept a timeline which is based on a lost book, it could be a mythical one for that matter.
