- We are pleased to offer this beautiful low-mileage 1966 Cadillac Eldorado that has been sympathetically restored as needed. With 68,900 miles since new and well optioned, it is nice enough for regional car shows and would be a fantastic tour car.
This is one of the 2,250 Eldorados made in 1966 and the very last year of the rear-drive Eldorado convertible series. This is a very nice rust-free example that was said to have lived its life in the Southwest. About ten years ago it was treated to an excellent repaint, all new and correct leather, refinished wood and much more. The quality of the work performed and materials is excellent.
We love the beautiful and rare Florentine Firemist (Paint Code 97) that is an older repaint which looks excellent now with a recent touch up and polishing. The paint is in overall excellent condition with only a 1/2 inch scratch near the engine compartment and a tiny chip near the drivers side fender marker light. The body panels are nearly perfect all around, very straight with very excellent alignment. The power convertible top looks new and is in its Sandalwood stayfast vinyl (Trim Code 6). The optional wire wheels look terrific but show some white oxidation on the inside of the rim between the spokes.
The exterior chrome and stainless are in very nice to excellent condition. There is one small dent at the bottom of the passenger side front bumper that you’ll see in the photo gallery. It is very low and therefore very difficult to see. The pot metal chrome is devoid of the common pitting that you often see. This has obviously been loved and cared for its entire life.
The newer leather interior is in beautiful condition in a complimentary Sandalwood leather that appears be in the all the correct patterns and correct blend of perforated and smooth materials. The wood has also been beautifully refinished and was obviously in nice original condition to begin with. The carpeting is also all newer and in excellent condition. The dash is correct, original and in excellent condition with no cracks or issues. The steering wheel is also original and in great condition. The center Sandalwood horn trim could be refinished at some point. It appears to have been dyed and has light cracking in the finish material.
The engine compartment is beautifully detailed and ready for show. It is in stunning condition and detailed correctly. It is obvious that this Eldorado has always been garaged as the engine compartment and chassis are devoid of the light surface rust that is so commonly seen. The original 429 CID V8 starts easily when cold and is smooth and powerful.
The trunk is also fully redone and looks great. The jack, tire iron and spare are in the trunk and also in very nice condition. The spare is matching and well presented with the matching cover for the wheel. This Eldorado comes complete with a shop manual, owner’s manual, top operations guide, service manual and more.
The Eldorado has received its 158-point inspection and it was found to be in excellent overall condition. It confirms that this is a rust-free example with no signs of accidents or issues. The chassis photos are included in the photo gallery and show this to be a well-cared for and low mileage original car. The air-conditioning works well and has been converted to 134a Freon, the options include chrome wire wheels, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power seats, power convertible top, electric windows (the drivers side rear window is fully operational from the back switch and partially from the drivers door), AM/FM radio with power antenna, and more.

God, what a beauty!
An absolutely **stunning** automobile from a bygone era. Wish they made ‘em like this today.
We agree!!
I second that!
I think it would be interesting if they made a "throwback" Cadillac, like they did with the Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and Chargers.
youyýýyý
Just love these Caddy's from the 50s+60s , especially the 57-67s.What a gorgeous car ,and the color is beautiful,as are those wire wheels . Would love to get behind the wheel of that Caddy with the top down on warm early summer evening just as the sun starts to set down a deserted country road ,tell me that wouldn't be a blast.
These cars are works of art, sculptures of engineering. Modern cars are blobs or lumps of anonymous metalwork, I'm so pleased to have lived through this period of unique design.
The last of the great Caddys.
The tonneau cover has a few spots from improper storage AND THAT IS IT !! for that car. Such a nice car. A summer evening drive to town for supplies car.
THAT COLOR IS STUNNING as is the rest of the immaculate car!
Fantastic color.
How lovely
Beautiful rich color. And the new leather upholstery is very tastefully done.
The last Eldorado ragtop until 1971!
What a gem has to be the prettiest 66 Cadillac in the world
Oh this is nice .. very clean ..
There's something about those mid sixties Cadillacs they're just stunning to look at, that Eldorado looks like it should be behind door number 3 as the big deal of the day on LMAD, plus all loaded up, yeah, that's the ticket
BEAUTIFUL AUTO!!
....just over-the-top loveliness...the exterior finish is mirror-like...and the interior looks remarkably current, in spite of it's 54 years...
...and when have you ever seen a convertible with solid (real) wood appliques on the upper doors??
...just an ultra-impressive example...mere words are insufficient...🤔😲🥰😉😎
These are great cars in this is an exceptional example. We couldn’t agree more! Thanks for your comments and happy new year.
We agree!!
Nice and a favorite year of mine. It look terrific with the top up or down. The color looks good on a Cadillac. I like light color enteriors too.
Like the mags. Love wire mags and a convertible to. Yes very nice example
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wish I could buy it.
❤❤❤
I would have sworn the backseat speaker was elliptical? I'm getting old I guess...
Last year for the Eldo until they ruined it with FWD. The 1967-1970 Eldos are gorgeous, but FWD? No thanks!
A beauty. Too bad the price of gas is artificially inflated..
