I can not thank you enough Robert for writing ‘The Ten Thousand Things’! Or whoever wrote it!! lol! I had a release of 10,000 pounds of guilt and shame and my constant and obsessive search for the Truth ended! I’m feeling very free but am kinda flailing around not being used to this lightness of being and I freed up a lot of time in my life now! I enjoyed this video immensely! Much gratitude to all who contributed! ❤

I like the common-sense discussion among Robert, John, and Sterling. Thanks from London, England.

Me finding you Robert was one of the synchronicities I've had. I never watched a Batgap video but one day it was in my recommended feed and I accidentally clicked on it, I was in love right away :) don't take that the wrong way lol. I just find it funny now in retrospect that of all the, probably hundreds of interviews Rick did, with all of the frauds selling their stuff, yours was the one I happened to click on by chance. I had my own epiphany probably 1 year before this, having been completely alone in all this and accumulated a little extra bullshit afterward, trying to understand what happened, and you've been very helpful in trimming some of the extra fat I had on top of this core understanding. We've never met face to face but I will always be grateful to you, much love, Leo.

Thanks, Leo. My experience after the satori was like that too. I looked for ways to understand the altered perspective. Nowadays, I don't think much about it. I am accustomed to living here and now without without any final answers. I wish you well.

@@RobertSaltzman Yeah it's much more relaxing without the need to understand, not that there's really anything to understand anyways. Now I just find myself feeling like talking about it now and then, which is why I like the Facebook group cause I can just say what's on my mind or what I find interesting without needing to have an agenda, just shoot the shit with some like minded people, the mild debates can be fun bonus sometimes too lol I never talk about any of this in my day to day life so it's a good place to get it out of my system.

This is a fun interview! Another word for seekers is liars, which is the same word for gurus. Two sides of the same illusory coin.

I like the idea that evolution could go into the complete opposite direction of what we think of as good. Maybe we are just here to create certain rare molecules and then we served our purpose and get wiped out by a cosmic event or ourselves. Just like vinegar bacteria when the acid reaches 30% and is best for our salad. Beautiful :)

Enjoyed every minute of this. Great conversation and further clarity. Particularly liked the ‘free will’ (or lack of) examples as well as the synchronicity stories, I have these experiences too, completely mysterious. Thanks all ❤

What a terrific discussion and many thanks for publishing it. I wish there were a way to engage with this group other than signing up for Facebook. Next Zoom maybe and keep reading Robert's outstanding writing.
The question I would love to raise is about the Gurjdjieff Work. Having spent time studying the various books and even attending meetings for a number of years, I can say this: you may have a blind spot here. Gurdjieff was probably awake and he and his devotees had some fascinating ideas, but this approach has become just as much of an ideology as anything else. He charged students money to study with him and engaged in unwholesome and even abusive behaviors. Why not apply the same criticism here as you might to nonduality or religion? Would love to read any comments on this.

Hi, Corey. If there is enough interest, perhaps I can do a live stream meeting on CZcams. I am not sure how that works but could investigate.
About Gurdjieff: Yes, he had some rather nasty traits, including what he called "shearing the sheep," by which he meant extracting money from those who had it. I have critiqued that. He was clearly no saint, but did seem to want to contribute to others' well-being in the ways he could. I found that his vocabulary and ideas were helpful to my understanding at a certain time, so I acknowledge that too. But once I found myself what I call "awake," I needed nothing from anybody--not Gurdjieff or anyone else. This is what I call "depending on no-thing." That said, if someone wants to know my influences, Gurdjieff was one of them, along with Jiddu Krishnamurti, Alan Watts (who was not what I call "awake," but was a great communicator of ideas), and others.
      Be well.

Thanks for the reply, Robert. The Zoom platform is just fine, I just really dislike social media. I quit it over 10 years ago because of all the divisive politics. Can hardly fathom what it’s probably like now. I am considering signing back up and keeping a low profile just to join your FB group.

Unlimited choice but no one to choose. I distinguish random thoughts from those relating problem solving, organization, and planning. Intent to have a personal moral ethical standard established and revived. We can rewire our brains. This video has much merit. Gratitude.
