Just saw Katie perform with Cindy Cashdollar and Johnny Nicholas at the Sportsman’s Tavern in Buffalo, NY. What a superb talent! And the good news is that she’ll be returning with the Wheel in July. A don’t miss show.
I saw Asleep at the Wheel in the Poconos in Pennsylvania in April. They were superb, as always. Don't miss them live. Katie Shore is a delightful and gifted performer. Ray Benson is a U.S. treasure.

Mac Mac OMGOSH- HA! I did the exact same thing! It was about a week ago, I had Willie’s Roadhouse on (XM channel 59) -heard this song and immediately downloaded it! THE BOMB! 👍🏼🇺🇸👍🏼🇺🇸 She has the most AMAZING voice and the musicians are STELLAR!
@@stjohnstorm Did the same thing this morning. Ray Benson always plays some great songs from his band. Saw them in their early days (?), 1977 at Jamboree In The Hills.

The first time I saw Katie I was a bit bumfuzzled. I'm a steel guitarist and don't understand much about the orchestral strings. My teacher (Eddie Rivers) warned me about sharp fiddle players - especially when they come in twos and threes.
Katie always seemed to park her bow in the vertical upright (again - not a violinist so if there's a signal there, I'm clueless) and she watched {and listened} like a hawk. I'd be like 'cut that girl loose' Reminds me sooo much of the Missouri hot head I used to date. Off the chart stuff, but you probably will never hear it.
Katie finally turned her hands loose and her voice as well and created a road splat where I landed when she did that. (kidding, of course) I definitely remember watching "The Wheel" and she was doing nothing...... or was she? She was watching, listening, learning the music.... but turn this girl loose today and LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!

Asleep At The Wheel Is Extremely Underrated saw them a few months ago what a band, heard this song too excited for the new album! Also that sleepwalk ending tho
