  • I think there are some unique aspects of the Wahoo Kickr Rollr that set it apart from other Wahoo trainers which make it ideal for certain cyclists.

    You discribed perfectly why this roller is perfect for my ‘one-bike-lack-of-space-situation’ thanks for the great review

    Kickr Bike #1, Rollr #2 and Kickr #3 that's how I rate them

    Issues with the rollr are tire slippage and tire wear. And I keep my front wheel lose. Tightened enough to keep the bike secure but loose enough to let move a bit.

    I used one for a short time when I was at my last bike fit and enjoyed it. I'm dealing with Plica Band issues when I'm on my Snap and started thinking about the Rollr, a smart roller, or a rocker plate. I'm also sitting here thinking about doing the free alternative and bundling up to just ride outside in the 30° weather. 😉

      I have thought about using it for bike fits, but just used to using the Kickr, so I haven't. I think the Rollr is a really low barrier to riding inside on short notice since it's so easy to set up.

      Comment: Hey there! I came across a new project called the freebeat Morph eBike, and it seems really interesting. It offers dual modes for indoor and outdoor use, which is perfect for people like us who want to switch it up. One outstanding feature is that it can be charged while using the indoor mode, so you never have to worry about running out of battery on your outdoor rides. Plus, the 750W motor and suspension ensure a smooth and powerful ride. Definitely worth considering if you're dealing with Plica Band issues and want a versatile option. Keep riding and stay happy! 😄

    Do you think it’s good for a person who wants more freedom of motion? I have the kickr but it locks you into fixed position.

    What do you think of climbing? I am living in a kind of small apartment in a cold place so for convenience the roller would be perfect, but I want to train for races including long steep mountain climbs. FTP ~200 and

      Ya, for climbing the Kickr bike is the best. 2nd best would be the Kickr with the Kickr Climb.

    I have just had it. I don’t use power meter pedals but when I ride at 70-80 watts it so heavy legs while everyone can do 200-250 watts easily. Can anyone tell me the reason? Thanks

    • @MissionMovePhysicalTherapy
      @MissionMovePhysicalTherapy  Před 6 měsíci

      How are you measuring the wattage? Are you sure it's correct? If you are able, take and FTP test and that will give you an FTP number which is based on watts. Then do training plans that are based around your FTP number, you should slowly get stronger. And just go ride your bike outside a lot and don't worry about. That will help you improve the most!

    quick question, is this compatible to zswift? I'm a newbie in indoor trainer and considering this wahoo indoor trainer.
    Thanks!

    Would it be better if it drove the front wheel like a traditional roller? The bike would be free in 3 dimensions.

    What I want to know is which trainer is easiest on the tush after an hour or 2?

    • @MissionMovePhysicalTherapy
      @MissionMovePhysicalTherapy  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That has nothing to do with the trainer itself, but more about your saddle, bike fit, and how often you get out of the saddle. When riding on a trainer you do not move around on the saddle or get out of the saddle as much as riding outside. So you tend to get saddle discomfort sooner than when riding outside. This is common complaint of riding on a trainer.
