Location to the treasure in map IV. Not far from pelagia farm from whiterun, on the cliff behind the windmill. map was found in a bandit cave near whiterun (not sure exactly)

After ages of looking I went here, and found my mountain looks hugely different with mods, and that the chest was deffinitively inside the mountain rocks.. so I had to NoClip my way in there. xD
I watched this video today 11 yrs after it was posted just to make sure if I got the right treasure chest ...in my case i searched for 10 min on the mountain found a chest in the bushes and got very shitty loot ... just making sure if it was the treasure map one or random one xD
This is a navigation problem. The game comes with a builtin compass at the top of the screen. But that is left out of this screen recording. Genuinely unf**King believable.

Knowing where the chest is isn't enough. You MUST have the map in your inventory or the chest isn't enabled in the game. No map, no chest.
Not even in your inventory. You just need to have found it at some point

That treasure was absolutely dog water. I looked it up to make sure I grabbed the correct chest. RIP gold.
@Andex24 Its the "Conjure Familiar" Spell. Can be bought from most magic shops.
