    This is the final video of the 1971 Ford Mustang, from Manns Restoration. We have included some of the build footage, as well as a complete test drive through the country. This car makes over 400 HP and sends that power through a four speed automatic with overdrive. It has plenty of power to make it a blast to drive. The Fast EFI makes it start up like a brand new car at the turn of the key, while returning impressive economy and performance at the same time. We hope you find it interesting and we sincerely appreciate your support. You can find out more about Manns Restoration, and their current projects, on their website at: mannsrestoration.com/Restorati...
    All the background music is by Gregor Alan Isakov, whose brilliant work is available for purchase online. This video is not monetized, nor do we claim any rights to his music. Thank you for watching!

    My name is Ewerton Saavedra. I have a 1971 Mustang Mach 1 original 429 SCJ in Brazil. My car is the one of one Mustang 429 SCJ in my country, Brazil. My car was bought and imported to Brazil in 1971 and was on the cover of the most popular automotive magazine here, called 4 weels (4 Rodas), in the May 1971 issue. I bought the car after finding it abandoned in the back of a workshop in year 2001 for R$1,500.00. That's the current equivalent of only about $350.00. At the time, here in Brazil, nobody wanted these types of cars. I got lucky.

    CUDA or MUSTANG? I NEVER had a CUDA. Looking on CZcams made me fall in love with 71, 72 CUDA. In 1985 I was 18 years old and my dad got me ........a 1971 Ford Mustang Coupe. Baby Blue. I never did anything to it to fix it up to race BUT I ALWAYS had this vision how it would look if invested in it. I was thinking about getting a CUDA but this video took me back in time to Realize my vision of my 1971 Ford Mustang. I imagined it with CRAGAR Centerlines too.

    Beautiful car!

  • @MrObsessiveakaPlastiksurgeon

    I always thought the '71-'73 Mustangs were just a bit bulky, but this one is FANTASTIC!
    I love that shade of green, and the black stripes are a nice contrast! Engine sounds terrific-----definitely a keeper! 👍
    Thanks for posting!

    Beautifully done video of a magnificent Mustang! The choice of this particular hue of green looks outstanding and the presentation of the engine compartment is impressive and tasteful. Love the way the driver guns it around the curve at about 5:35. : )

      I think it looks better than the fastback. 71-73 fastbacks look too heavy and big the coupe and grande of these years are actually better looking.

    • @jamesmedina2062
      @jamesmedina2062 Před 5 měsíci

      @@pizzaparker5436 yes I agree, the coupe gives better rear visibility too. The fastback balances front area to rear area better, but because the hood is so big, to balance it ends up looking heavier and is actually bigger. The only thing I am conflicted about is that I like the coupe better without the wing, but as an owner of a coupe I love the wing on these, and don't know if I should sell it or use it again, on the next paint job.

    I really dig the 71-73 Mustangs.. Most folks don't, and that's okay.. My favorite is of course the 1969 Mustang... I would take ANY YEAR Mustang however, so I am biased..
    When I was around 17 years old (in 1980) could have bought a 72 Mustang Fastback with the 351 4v/C6 in it for around $3000 and it was all original and in great shape.. Too bad, I didn't have 3 grand making only $3.35/hr min wage back then.... Oh, well, I did eventually get a 86 GT Mustang... Not the same, but a fun ride all the same.

      The 1971 Boss 351 would be a great one to have someday. I tend to like the earlier body styles too, but I'd take a Boss. Manns did a great job with this one too.

    • @mitchf1508
      @mitchf1508 Před 7 lety +1

      Yeah, the 71 Boss 351 was actually quicker in the 1/4 mile and all around 'better' handling than the Mustangs with the 429 in it!! I would love to have a 429 as well as that Boss! Thank you for the vid

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  Před 7 lety

      Yes, you're correct. I believe the 71 Boss 351 was the quickest Mustang of that era.

    • @rextruegood6168
      @rextruegood6168 Před 6 lety

      RamblinAround the 429 could beat it if it had slicks..the boss beat the 429 due to the 429scj spun them skinny polyglass tires with 450-510 foot pounds of torque but with the correct tires the 429 scj ran 11s

    I had a 71' Mustang Mach 1 351 i burnt a valve showing off to a friend. At 17 i totally rebuilt the motor. It was school bus yellow & black and would fly. A friend of mine went to the Spring Natioals back in the day to watch Bob Glindden run against Grumpy Jenkins. Bob usually won. I use to bang that 4 spd and 9in rearend.
