Michael Owen DEFENDS his time in Madrid whilst being challenged by Simon Jordan ⚽️ | Up Front
Owen averaged 1 goal every 3 matches at Real. Coming from abroad, no knowledge of Spanish, and without a settling in period. Prime Owen scores goals in any league.
He was a failure at Madrid
Off the bench aswell
@@pauloneill914 Raúl had practically the same ratio, and he's a Madrid legend. I don't expect you to know who that is
@@BOZ_11 Raul is a real legend with longevity. His ratio is more impressive given that. And his ratio was closer to 1 in 2. Over 300 goals in 700 appearances. Owen was a flash in the pan youngster. The only club he succeeded at was Liverpool and that was a short period of time
@@BOZ_11 nothing practically about it it was much better with much more games. Back in your box Boz
Simon jordan is a proper condescending in this interview
He’s a prick in just about every interview he ever does.
Very little respect for Michael Owen's achievements.. Though being a Newcastle fan when he did play and wasn't injured had a good record. Just his attitude was questionable at times. Loyalty in sports is hard when you have personal ambition.
The 30 pieces of silver from Owen's pocket still burning on his name
how could he turn real madrid down in 2004? trust me, theres no way any player in the premier league at that time who was offered a chance to play alongside Ronaldo Na Zario, Zidane, Raul, Figo, Roberto Carlos, his english mate David Beckham. No shame in that.
Doesn’t matter where Owen went, when he left the fans couldn’t stand him.
Loved him at Man United 😂
26 starts in 38 games isn't 40% geezer. Think there's a bit of gooeyness in Simon's head in this interview.
he rounded it up , we talking around 5% diff
Ur maths is fuck@d as well man, 26 divided by 38 is 0.684andon. So yeah the percentage is only nearly 20 percent out, an that’s me roundin it up mate yano
@voteformethanks5307 Maths isn’t ur strong point either I see, it’s closer to twenty percent mate
@@davidfisher6356 sorry only starting 26 games out of 38 = approx starting 2/3rds of games which is 66% which leaves 33% he did not start (approx % ) how can it be 20% ? lets say there was 39 games which he started 26, that means 13 he did not start - 1/3rd of 39 = 13 ( 1/3rd = 33.3333%)
20% = 1/5th . if he started 26 out of 38 games how is that 20%? if say there were 40 games and he didnt play 20% he would have started 32 and been sub 8! please explain your math im genuinely asking in case im the one wrong and if so want to learn why
I get the impression that Simon was constantly talking down to Owen. Maybe everyone talks down to him?
Give it to Micheal Owen but “pulled his punches” when it came to the proper questions to John Terry and Di Canio.
Scared Simon?
Jordan..came across as a w....r...
Who wears white trainers
I really don’t understand the hate for Owen by Liverpool fans. He was a stop player for them and moving to RM was a decision anyone would take if you have any ambition. Otherwise you end up being Harry Kane.
I really don’t understand the hate for Owen by Liverpool fans.
Because he played for Man Utd their biggest rivals ???
As far for the Otherwise you end up being Harry Kane.
He won more trophies at Liverpool than at Madrid 0 trophies to be more precise
And when he moved to Madrid Liverpool won the UCL
The Irony
@@Pastas666well you literally answered your own question there m8 I didnt hate owen I still dont hate him I never did hate is a strong word however as a liverpool fan I didnt dislike owen when he signed for real madrid as he says they are the biggest club in the world who can argue with that however as soon as he signed for m utd to be a super sub for them I disliked him then🤣

Not just mine without context
The Op comment is
I really don’t understand the hate for Owen by Liverpool fans. ect
I was replying this question
And him playing for united? So what?? Paul Ince played for both clubs.
Won Balon dor 2001
Yep. We get reminded of it on a regular basis. Almost like Carl "80,000 at Wembley" Froch
In what world does 13 games out of 39 equate to 40%.
Think the copious amount of Grecian 2000 has seeped into Jordan's brain the fucking absolute.
Simon is definitely on painkillers on this interview...keep chugging Simon
He went to the biggest club in the world at that time. Football has no loyalty and probably never has. Why try to make oug that people have to stay at the same club forever?
GERRARD?
@@VladGolgotha???? And??? He nearly went to Chelsea 🤷♂️ and even SG admits that
All of the football fans that are so tribalistic is just utterly ridiculous
Rate owen he like a gary neville. Still rich after football with buisnesses. Dont need pundit money
daughters a baddie
lol too right. honestly id.... actually il say nothing. baddie defo
Does she take it up the pooper?
2 minutes in and can’t listen to him anymore. Owen is full of crap
Be honest, you were thinking that before you clicked on the video weren't you
Michael Owen…. if you ever read this I call you a lier. That’s total bollocks of what you said about Rafa. He never said any such things to the press about going to Real Madrid until after the Wrexham match. You know it and I know it…
You said you was going to a sign a new contract for 2 years… don’t try and change history because I know.
God? Is that you?
@@anon86 if you know, you know!
Michael Owen goal vs Argentina and scoring the winner in the Manchester Derby are his career highlights
Love Owen but he is still a traitor
cant believe that i of all people are sticking up for him, how could he turn real madrid down in 2004? trust me, i got sky in 2002 when r9 signed for them after the world cup , just to watch them every week, theres no way any player in the premier league at that time who was offered a chance to play alongside Ronaldo Na Zario, Zidane, Raul, Figo, Roberto Carlos, his english mate David Beckham, salgado, guti. No shame in that.
Traitor… grow up ffs, how utterly pathetic of a response
Simon is the worst interviewer with the best guests asks a question then answers it, please just shut up for a minute
I can’t stand Simon Jordan. Smug, arrogant, doesn’t listen.....
The treachery of this man. Geez. He is even calling Madrid the biggest club. Bigger than his boyhood club and than the Red Devils. I knew Utd were making a mistake with this Judas.
It is tho, no need to be salty lol
