Rick Sanchez from rick and morty is teaming up wiht yami yugi from yugioh in a tag duel against rick prime. an ancient enemy from the pharaoh's past has returned, maliphis. Maliphis has the egyptian god of darkness. together, rick and yugi have all 3 Egyptian god cards, but will their divine might be enough to take on apophis the demon of chaos? rick prime has partnered with maliphis for this very reason. in this duel we will see the fusion of obelisk the tormentor and slifer the sky dragon - onuris the thundering tormentor. we see the pharaoh use the new meta cards such as dark magical circle, magic formula and magician navigation.
the pharaoh has the dark magician and dark magician girl in his arsenal. rick showcaes some new cards in his deck, crow rick from season 6 (rickmurai jack), purge rick and we also see rick prime summon tammy guterman and cornvelious daniel.
this is the final episode of the rick and morty yugioh saga. the finale. In this duel we enter the shadow realm, maliphis initiates the shadow game. the heart of the cards is with yugi in this duel.
STORY PARODY PREMISE
Rick Sanchez has travelled from the rick and morty universe into the yugioh universe in search of the millennium puzzle. By harnessing the astral powers inside the puzzle, he can be able to locate the true location of the original soul of rick prime (seeing as rick prime has cloned himself many times. The millennium puzzle is currently held my yami yugi. It is linked to him. In order for rick to truly claim the puzzle, he must defeat the pharaoh in a shadow game/duel.
The timeline in the yugioh universe is set during battle city. Rick has already defeated yami marik and claimed the egyptian god card (the winged dragon of ra) and the millennium rod. Kaiba holds obelisk and yugi holds slifer.

It's been a hell of a ride my brethren. I appreciate all of you being a part of this journey. I love YuGiOh and I always will. But now the chapter ends. It will be back in future, 100%. Personally, for me, my favorite part of this video was the heart of the cards moment with yami yugi and yugi, when I was animating that part, it really brought me back to being a kid. I actually recently found my old cards, some of them are worth a lot of money, but i will never sell them, they are my childhood. I hope you guys enjoyed this, it's been a pleasure creating this series.

When two high enough level decks compete with each other, the duel lasts a few extra turns.
Such a good ending to a series, prime Rick's eagerness was his downfall and Rick got his revenge, leaving both him and Yami on good terms. Love this so much, good luck in the future

Man i remember when i first came across Rick vs Yugi on the Shorts tab. It felt like a surrealist comedy. But after watching all of the videos, this project had more heart and soul put into it than a lot of Hollywood stuff produced these days.

Seeing Atem and Yugi together again, seeing them having faith in their deck and triumphing admittedly made me cry. Their story is still so powerful. Amazing job, man!
Faith is belief in something that cannot be proven. What was about to happen had been done time and time again. If by heart of the cards you mean using magic to draw the exact card needed, then yeah. Which apparently atem is unable to win a duel without doing.

Yes, when times are dire, he can draw the card with the best chance of winning, but the last duel between Yugi and Atem showed that even the card that gives the best chance can still be outplayed. So you still need to have faith in your deck, and your skills, to be able to overcome against all odds. Hold onto your duelist's pride, and don't give up!
@@ytmikelol yes, victory isn't guaranteed, but more of atem's victories involve him drawing the card he nèeds with his cheater necklace than don't. And this strategy failed him exactly once. The one time he needed it to, funnily enough.
I just realized in this universe with the timing of the Rick Sanchez arc, the last arc with Bakura is going to be a heck of a lot shorter. The Pharoah already knows his name lol I doubt Bakura will see that coming. Amazing series with a satisfying ending, thank you!

Almost as emotional as the original ending of Yugioh Duel Monsters and twice as epic a battle as any of the movies! Let's make some noise for our boy Fabersoul!! Seriously a typical duel ending for our man Atem but it was a hell of a ride getting here and I love all the little Easter Eggs you in in there. One I think many won't catch is Maliphis using part of Anubis' chant from the first Yugioh movie. Hecta, penta, naar en sesha indeed. Fitting given if there was a reboot I would love to see Maliphus as the main villain. Heck would love to see more of your Millennium World lore in general.
But I won't pressure you and to anyone who says Faber should just make a game I want to point something out with 20 years of coding experience: making cut scnes play in Unreal is pretty cheap and simple. Making a full blown game when you only have shown experience with just turning it into movie player is impressive but that doesn't hint that Faber wants the stress or has any interest in learning the grueling process of video game creation. I think he's on the right path breaking into industry few know exist.
Though if he wants to one day I would support it but only if it's his own desire/he has prepared himself the trial.
Technically the chant from the first Yugioh movie is actually a verse from the Book of the Dead. Just whispered creepy. It's why it sound so fucking creepy and also distinctly Yugioh.

These are great. One thing that would be a big improvement though is if you had the numbers count down/up rather then instantly change. Your doing the sound effect for it, so I think it would be a great addition

I like how Onuris effect is a mix between Obelisk's and Slifer's. Also, its atk/def points are fixed like Obelisk, but to 6000 which is usually the maximum points Slifer can have with 6 cards in the hand.
Onuris (aka Anhur, the Slayer of Enemies) is the Egyptian god of war and a symbol of the Egyptian military. He is depicted as wearing a 4 plumed crown and carrying a spear. Occasionally he is depicted with the head of a lion. He is the son of the god Ra.
I haven't enjoyed Yugioh for a solid decade now -- the game has just evolved in a way that I no longer care for.
But this video -- this series of videos, rather -- was really something, man. Just a tremendous job all-around. You should be really proud of this, honestly.

Im not gonna lie all your yugioh and rick and morty videos felt like great watches. I also love how you made all the cards feel real and not too over the top but still keep the anime emotion roller coaster. It was so well done and truly shows how much time you put in your work.
Now if only all those cards you made were available in the actual game. Just the simple stuff like the different Ricks would be an awesome crossover. Also the Egyptian god fusions and dark gods would be so cool. They dont seem that busted the way you made them but still counterable as a great boss monster. It would also really reignite my love for the classic Egyptian God cards.

Idea: Perhaps you could have Joey vs Rick come after Joey was released? Like maybe Joey wants to fight Rick since Rick locked him up (taking place after Rick set Joey free)? Or an alternative idea, now that Joey is freed, maybe he comes in the way of the final fight of Rick vs Vegeta? Or at least some short would be nice with Joey getting freed since he was another main character. But I'm sure whatever you come up with will be perfect! Lol, Thanks again!

This seemed like a flawless interaction between the universes of Yugioh and Rick and Morty (despite never having seen the latter). The dialogue was in character for everyone, the dueling was fantastic - plenty of gambits and unique cards. There was no shortage of drama or laughs. And you had an incredible conclusion to this series; never thought I’d see Rick Sanchez part with Atem on good terms (though his character development from his home series ensured a little more humanity).
Whatever you come up with next is sure to be impressive. This series was a testament to your skills as an animator and storyteller. And I’ll be sure to grab a front row seat.
