The customer should be able to use this video in court. I would sue the crap out of them for this!
Definitely. If you get another shop to sign a document saying the other shop fucked up and get an itemized list of the issues, the customer could have gone to his credit card company and told them to dispute the initial charge. Happened to someone I know and he got his money back. As soon as the shop got wind that he was getting a dispute with the CC company they immediately tried to fix everything.
I wouldn’t even let those guys wrap my Christmas presents 😂
chucka187 😂😂😂
Watching this and thinking "geez this looks better than my wrap" haha
Keep practicing brother. I just did my first wrap as well. Takes a lot of time and patience ! And a lot of redos lol
@@a1paradox19 I didn't do mine myself, I paid a few grand for it haha
@@bw1583 that’s unfortunate. I did much better than this myself and that was the first car I ever wrapped.
@@zeke_edits RIGHT!!????
Looks just like my first wrap. Obviously I wasn't happy, so took time to learn and do it better in my second attempt.
your videos definitely do not hurt the industry. if anything they help it. i saw how much vinyl wrap costs and I thought "there's no way I can't just do this myself and save a ton of money" and after watching your videos and seeing how hard it is I was like "nope! ain't doing that myself!"
That sneaky plate frame 👀
Great video man... I as a customer really appreciate videos such as this one. I am literally in the process of getting my car wrapped and this was some awesome information. Thanks 🙏
Stop the video at exactly 2:24 ... that’s who did it!
Thank me later!
DON RAMAL lol sharp eyes haha and thats so funny they know they did a horrible wrap job + they advertising it 😂😂😂😂
Craptors. How is that company still in business?????????????
I feel like that long pause over that was done on purpose. 😂
Knew it even before the video started.. 😂
Hope the owner has taken some legal action..
You’re legit man. Humility goes a long way. Appreciate the videos! Definitely a subscriber. 👍🏼
I'm a fairly new wrap installer and I haven't had something like this happen and if anything does happen, I fix it. No way I want to have any bad work driving around. Looks bad on me and the industry like you said. Very unfortunate and hopefully something comes of the company that keeps putting out wraps like this. Especially if they have been working on high end cars.
Philipe Jose its called pride in what you do. If something goes wrong you fix it and learn from mistakes .this company does not abide by those rules or morals.
thanks as always for the videos, I truly appreciate you teaching the good AND the bad things. I am in the process of wrapping my new Zl1. I hear ya in the back of my head the whole time, and I am super grateful for what you teach us!!!
If that was my AMG.... I would sue for refund + payment for entire respray for damage done to paint + payment for replacement parts and installation of all parts and seals they damaged... teach the shit for brains a lesson. I would do it just so it doesn't happen to another guy's car later on :/ It makes me really sad to see this happen to anybody's pride and joy man...
As an installer you have got my respect by the moment you showed the blue BMW. Everyone makes mistakes but, the key for success is how you stand for those mistakes, what you gonna do for “repairing” them. Keep up dude!
@CKWraps thanks bro your videos are very informational, I've been watch your vids for a few weeks now learning on how to wrap cars, I'm starting a project on my 1985 C10. You have my support 110%
You're like the Holmes on Homes of wrapping. Freaking genius.
Your videos DEFINITELY don't hurt the industry, they promote it! I definitely would love to taking some training from CK WRAPS.
Another wonderful job from the Toronto Wraptors. I seriously can't believe they didn't learn their lesson after they were exposed the first time when they did that turquoise lancer. What a garbage ass shop. You can wrap the car again, but all that paint damage on a big body Benz like that. They'd have their asses in court so fast to repaint that car. Absolutely unacceptable. Talk about damage to an industry. That WAS a reputable shop. How are customers supposed to know who to trust?
Is that seriously their name? "The Toronto Wraptors"?
You see it here Ck Wraps for president.
Its crazy they got 192 reviews around 190 5 stars on google map ...
They don't know, that's the whole point!
@@mbmpablo3631 That seems pretty sketch to me. That must mean they are filtering out negative reviews and only showing the positive ones. None of the videos on their channel have any bad comments too which must mean they are deleting comments that expose them.
out of all the wrappers I've seen in CZcams is my belief you are the best or one of the best wrappers your work is superb thank you for filming your work and for putting out there great reference and information hope to meet you one day you are great and you are the only one so far that I've seen wrap a car by himself you are a master thank you for your videos................!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your videos are the best, love your work. High five my guy✋🏽.
Wow, customers satisfaction is sooo key. The dude won’t last long producing these wraps. Show em how it’s done CK🔥
Saludos desde Mexico, en verdad es admirable la mentalidad que tienen ustedes en países de primer mundo para hacer las cosas BIEN y como se debe! Son un ejemplo a seguir CK Wraps ! 👊🏻👌🏻
Echele ganas primo
I like that you fix & "warranty" your work (if it's a warranty thing) no matter how tiny the "issue is".....that's a super thing to do & creates life long customers. Also, there are times when a vinyl wrap is tricky to work with, but, to blame the product for THIS kind of thing.....come on🙄.
I like that you don't name names! Even though I'm dying to find out what shop & who wrap this car & the other; but that just really just goes & shows us your Character & that you have Integrity....both of which are in short supply in this day & age when it comes to businesses (& some service industry jobs). I APPLAUD you for not naming the shop, or BASHING the hell out of anyone in particular.
Sticking by your "work ethic" & taking pride & fixing mistakes is awesome, like said before.
Cheers, A
Aepek I'm guessing by the front plate it was Wraptors that wrapped this vehicle.
chasemays1 Thanks for info, appreciate it
Props for showing your tiny errors dude. Love your content 👍🏼
Wish there was a CK Wraps in Dallas Texas area! The crap workmanship in this video is the standard in our metroplex. Even at certified places that deal mostly with exotics. I do not understand how people can take someones hard earned money for a crap job providing this kind of work with no desire to make it right. Its no different than stealing.
Christian,
You are a stand up guy! I have learned a lot watching your videos and appreciate your dedication. When I am ready for a new look on my V3 CTS-V.... I might have no choice but to drive the 1,400 miles to get the quality work that we all deserve.
Hey man. Thanks so much for ur videos. They are super helpful! Cheers from chicago! 🤙🏽
This is what I expect my car to look like when i go to wrap the bumpers. But ive done a hood roof and trunk. Super excited to not have done work shops at all and can do better than that company. Super excited. Love your info man.
Yeahhh, when I see videos like this, I want to definitely wrap my own car...
this is exactly why i watch these videos, so i could learn to Wrap my own car (i did learn it btw) and not trust my lil speedster to anyone else to mess up!
Ck your videos would never hurt the industry you do beautiful work that blue bmw is beautifully done if I would checked it I never would of known what was wrong with it I agree people that are still perfecting skills should not be charging people to do there car you should not be charging people if still need to perfect your work ck you are amazing what you do I agree in everything you saying
Love your videos man!
Your wraps are the best bro keep up the good work it's of high quality compared to other wraps like the white AMG you were pointing out👍
Again, videos like this make me feel a bit better about the jobs I do on mates cars. Still cant bring myself to charge people for what I do though. Not yet, maybe with a couple more years under my belt. I find doing them for free lets me not only gain the experience but eliminates the stress factor involved with a 'paid for' service at this point in time..
This is exactly what I do all my friends wanted their interior wrapped after I de chromed everything took me days to finish everything and did not charge anything cause the experience really is a better payment with wrapping
That looks exactly like the job did on our Genesis! All we had wrapped was an all around lipkit... They used cutters and even went into the paint! Which we only noticed once we removed the vinyl... fun time! Alas, we dont have very many options for wrapping companies.
Did my interior. And oh boy did I learn about overstretch.
Great video. I just started "trying" to learn how to wrap on my own. I used cheap, Chinese red chrome to wrap accents on my Porsche Cayman and it looks great... From 20 feet away. I still think I have a few less mistakes than this though. Lol
Keep the great videos coming.
(damn I wish I was closer to Canada!)
your slick man the pause on the plate cover lol
I appreciate all the info you share. Question ? When you wrap a front or rear bumper do you apply wrap to the sensors in the bumpers ?
I agree 100% with your assessment and guarantee thoughts. Thanks. Be well.
Have you done any videos on how to trim the edges with close up video and how to stop the vinyl coming away from the car in crevices
Thank you for a series of great vehicle wrap educational videos, please keep the good work. Before I leave I'd like to ask you, what's the name of that devise or tool that holds an entire wrap with some extendable aluminum arms? All I remember is that it has the word Dragon in the name. Thank you.
Yo CK can u do a video on tight radius corners? Like around a tail light ect, & how bout how to fix an over stretching an edge?
Do you do inner door sills? If so, how? If not, where do you cut to and is there a video you’ve already made on it? Thanks C.
I went to Major car show & this Lamborghini was wrapped like shit. I was so surprised that they would even have the car on display for people to see. Great video Bro! I Dig your work. You got some Skills!!
What's your tip for PREPPING tough corners on day bumpers ect curvy parts?
after watching this I think ill spend a little extra on my future wrap job
Holyyy crapppp, any scratches under? What do you do for that? Thanks appreciate your videos, you have REALLY HELPED ME BRO
Where should DIYers purchase wrap film in eastern Canada? I see Amazon has Vvivid wraps available, is that my best bet? I want to try my hand at wrapping some trim pieces on my STI.
I admire your candor in matters like this, yes the work is shotty, to put it lightly, but sadly this happens in so many forms of manufacturing anymore. People are so worried about collecting payment & not putting forth the effort & good craftsmanship into what they are building/installing. I've been contemplating doing my own, although it will be a new experience to me, ( I do some fiberglass & metal fabricating panels & accessories ) so I'll see how it goes. For me if the work is exceptional & the installer/craftsman stands by their work, they I have no issue forking out the $$, but I would have owned that shop had someone tried to do me like that, people need to be held accountable for their lack of skill/care, just as they need to hold themselves accountable. You do really nice work & I'm glad for the videos & in-depth info on the skill as well as the wrap material info.
Not the worst Ive seen but that is up there. I had an issue with to of my Nissan NVS wrapped the same day by my helper. I knew exactly what the mistake was and I drove a total of 16 hours to the two different locations to fix it. Took twenty minutes each. There is no excuse ever for not standing by your work or your employees work.
Total Wildlife Managment hey man that was a really stand up thing you did to go that far out of your way to fix that stuff. I'm glad you shared that
hey man, good video ,do you have any other videos that give tips and tricks for wraps problem solving on lifting ,curling and fingering.David from south africa
CK wraps what’s the easiest colour and texture is the best to use for a first timer?
I have been in the sign industry for over 20 years. I have done a few wraps that not gonna lie where amateur.but I didnt do as bad as this.lol no training in wraps all self taught .would love to take a class from you
CK Wraps
, Could you please give us an update chrome wrap ?
Thank god I did some research & watched this video. Can you believe I almost thought about going to Wraptors for my wrap?
How do you prevent bubbles in the wrap?
Are there any cordless heatguns out there yet?
I like the sneak peak of the reg number holder to show their name. It’s a shame! We give warranty and always do follow up checks as things do go wrong as you said it👍
Ah my boy Peanut will appreciate the shout out (Kansas guy in the workshop)
haha he didn't tell us his nickname was peanut lol. I'm from Boston and was in class with Dom
Todd Beaulieu hes a customer of mine..we call him Dominator as well. I personally like peanut better. He's a great kid. I've been busting his balls to wrap something for a year when he started talking about it. He was scared to mess it up. I wrapped my first car after stumbling across this channel and it looked like fun. I'm glad you guys had fun, I'm a little jealous I didn't get to go this year. Maybe one day
It was a great training Christian is amazing at what he does and shares all his knowledge. The course is money well spent
Todd Beaulieu oh I bet. His free videos were enough to get me the basics and the confidence to wrap a few cars. I'd imagine the class would be even better.
My car has knife cuts into my paint from a bad wrap job. What should I do?
😱OMG that is a horrible wrap job! I only just stumbled on these wrap videos yesterday and have been binge watching and even I know that’s a horrible wrap job. 😱and I could probably do a better job than whom ever did that job. 😂
Your videos are not harming the industry.
I was considering a DIY wrap. But having seen the pitfalls, I won't do it.
Hi
I saw you finished the cobra. You already have video.
Can you show some videos us how to do wrap roof up with antennas please??? Thanks
CK, I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla, how much would that cost to wrap, copper color my favorite, thanks
What color did you use for the beammer
I'm literally crying!!!!!!!!
Whats the time frame you give customers on your work warranty?
Hey I’m from Boston and have a 2017 Dodge Durango gt I had a shop around here do all the trim and fenders and bumpers wrapped and it looks awful I was looking to do the whole car what would be a estimate from you
I wanted a glossy black wrap on my hood but i was told by a shop they wouldnt because it scratches very easily and shows harshly is that true?
I know a shop right here where we live that looks like his work lol. That is one reason why I didn't want him to touch any of my cars and on top of it our car would have sat in his shop for a month no lie about that. I'm still looking for someone to do my wife's brand new 2018 honda civic coupe ex-t.
I'm about to wrap my 2018 Charger Scatpack in 3M Psychedelic Color Flip.. any tips? The front bumper worries me the most (I've wrapped many panels but never a full car) I'm going to do the inlays separately and do it properly but any advice on any of the car is welcomed and appreciated!!!
Make sure you are always applying the film in the same direction! It's very easy with inlays to forget that sometimes. Best of luck!
Ever since I started watching your videos I have never been more interested in throwing my money at you to wrap my car.
Nice job on the bmw
uhh... You have some videos about your work of full wrap car???? Months or years ago??? It will be interesting know about the status of some work of your wrap shop.
is the shop is Wraptors Inc. because we can easily see in the front of the car the name of a wrapping company. :)
👍I respect that he could show us his own mistakes. Live and learn from mistakes. 💝
I like the fact that you can hear he is sincerely upset. A true artisan.
Stumbled upon your videos after getting my vehicle wrapped. My vehicle was delivered at night and I was not present when it was dropped off. Needless to say when I saw my wrapped car for the first time I was disappointed and felt robbed. There are patches at various locations throughout the car. I noticed cuts into my paint and seals. Lastly I found the door panels were not reinstalled correctly and had large gaps visible with the doors open, not to mention the wind noise when driving. The finish on the wrap was not smooth and crease marks are all over. My apologies for venting but when I reached out to the installer just about the door panels they agreed to fix the issue but have not remedied the situation to this day despite them still posting videos of other cars that are getting worked on. Any suggestions on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated.
Blue Beemer has a lovely rego plate device... 13:51
Im very new to vinyl wrapping. We recently wrapped my girlfriends Miata and while we did have some issues with it (cheap cheap material) it is something I would like to continue to do for my own personal reasons. But I see it in a lot of your videos you mention fingering. What does that mean excatly?
Hell jeah keeping it real Bruddah!!!
Hope you show us you taking this wrap off, & with VoiceOver if don't talk while removing wrap. REALLY hoping to see this removal step by step......
WOW that's not my car and I am angry...
Really hate to see less than half xxx work and they expect to get paid for that job
3 months old and it looks like that? That's horrible. Sucks for that customer.
this guys is a professional 🔥🔥🔥 not perfect but he is so transparent 😂that make him perfect 🎉
*thousands of dollars* wow! Ill do them for hundreds of dollars and only a few mistakes.....when can i start? :)
I was joking bty, i know some internet jockeys have trouble spotting sarcasm.
@@theravedaddy no one cares
im sure the customer will be very happy when youre done with it, except for the damages the other installer did. good luck
What is some of the better wraps
Was that the other wrap shop's name on that front license plate frame? He he. Nice one
Shame man.. people need more practice before charging customers for their mediocre services.
Lam Le thats the thing with the company that's the second one they have done thats been on the show obviously they arent trying to get better but to make fast cash and get the next car to do.
I've seen 4 other wraps they did where their customers came to me
CK Wraps that’s just terrible man. It takes 3-4 days to wrap a car alone. If I could do it, a shop with a few guys could do it. Purely lazy and money hungry.
It looks like it takes these guys 3-4 hours to do a full wrap on a car...I'm guessing they just pack their schedule in so damn tight that they literally can't even put in any time or effort to wrap a car (if they even wanted to, which it looks like no, they don't), and then they just charge out the ass bc they obviously realize how much money can be made in vinyl wrapping cars. Then once they finish, they just back it out of the garage, & on to the next car (probably like throw the keys at the customer like 'alright fetch, mother fucker')...They must have some sort of crazy long & ridiculous liability form that's the size of a Harry Potter book, so that they're technically legally protected but simultaneously are making their customers sign something that nobody in a million years would want to sit in the lobby of a shop & read...
That is jacked up! Im an amateur at it...only done 4 cars and ive NEVER done someone like that. Your right, its just plain laziness.
What color and vinyl brand is BMW
Im scared to get my car wrapped after seeing this...😟 My far sighted one eyed uncle could see the defects in this wrap. Woah!
😡This is absolutely unacceptable. I would be insanely uncontrollably upset! I know he said the customer wasn’t receiving a refund but I truly hope the customer was able to receive a full refund and seek damages in court (if necessary).🙏😔
What color is that bmw wrapped in?
Now not to get to any detail but when a customer comes to you with a bad wrap from another shop do you charge them the same amount??
It usually costs more since I need to remove it
Kansas. Shout out!
Wowwww, I was about to get those guys to wrap my car based on "positive" google reviews. Looks like I dodged a bullet
the camera would not focus when you were looking at the ceiling above the windshield because it was already perfectly focused on the lights reflecting in the windshield. If that reflection was not there then it would have worked
I didn’t know how hard it is to wrap until i did it myself lol hardest thing
Their is alot of shops in my area that won't honor anything. My dad had his t-bird painted and he bought all the materials to do it and the guy didn't even paint the door jams. Had to have someone else come in to do it over. Ended up sueing and getting all his money back. Dad just wanted him to fix it. Crazy world.
This is just inexperience, and failure to take pride in what you do. So sad.
What the average price of wrapping a sedan?
