Spurs are in a difficult position. For the last five years under Mauricio Pochettino, the team has arguably played to its capacity. Yet, that capacity is yet to earn the club a trophy. With a strict wage structure in place, Pochettino is prevented from chasing the worldâs most elite players. And with a squad that is delicately balanced, itâs tough to see obvious areas in need of improvement. However, hereâs where we think Spurs could strengthen and improve, without necessarily breaking the bank.

Great video, looking forward to more in these series! The only thing is that it would be nice to have the name of the player appear on screen at least once, especially for the lesser known players. I really liked the overall structure, explaining first in-depth WHY a certain player is being missed, and then recommending replacements. Keep up the good work!

@@ElPadrino71 Leverkusen paid his release clause and probably offered him a well paid contract. Also Leverkusen is known to consistently play in the European tournaments, mostly in the Champions League, while Hoffenheim only made that leap in the last couple of years under Julian Nagelsmann, who is now leaving for RB Leipzig

God I miss Mous. Selling him to China so early in the season was a big mistake, spurs were obviously missing presence in the midfield after he left
Teddy Fandango heâs broken, he could only play 60 minutes max due to injury and general fitness issues. the mistake wasnât selling, it was omitting to buy anyone to replace him.

@@S1mplyKasper He's recent actions have shown that he is willing to stay at Spurs for at least another season. Also, Man United, the main club that have been looking at him are more interested in signing Koulibaly, Maguire, and De Ligt.
@@SonRob01 Have you even been following the news? Spurs already offered 53 million pounds for Lo Celso three weeks ago. However, Betis rejected it because they have a release clause worth 88 million pounds, but are willing to sell at a fee of around 70 million pounds. However, like Tifo said, we're much more likely to get Lo Celso (or Bruno Fernandes?) if Eriksen leaves to Real or maybe Juventus.

Good video and great idea for a series. Of course, stats alone are a poor indicator of performance. Kenny Tete, for example, is not very reliable going forwards. He has fallen down the pecking order at Lyon (3rd right-back behind Leo Dubois and Rafael) and the club has attempted to recycle him as a center-back where he has been more effective. I would definitely not consider him as a player Tottenham should target in the RWB role.

I'm not saying Pochettino doesn't deserve to lift a Champions league trophy, but Tottenham has to prove they deserve it MORE than this very Liverpool team, by doing what these Reds have done, i.e. You lost a Final last year? Well fight your way to the Final again, and I promise the whole world would be rooting for you, irrespective of who the other opponent is.
... See you next year, Hotspurs. If it's really yours to own, you'll be back with a vengeance. For now though, it was about time _Klopp brought that Cup home to The Kop._
