- How we built a half bath in a garage using a macerating toilet.
While the macerating toilet is expensive, it saved a lot of time and money by not trenching a drain. They can be installed far below and drain line and pumped a long distance to that drain line. Comment any questions you have.

That spider wasted no time moving into it's new bathroom.
Awesome. Thank you.
looks great!
Thank you
How much cost would be added to include a bath-shower? Thank you. 👍👍
There’s a lot to factor in that cost. I’d have to make the foundation larger in this case. There are a huge variety of shower options. You can do a simple insert kit for $500, plus plumbing to the macerator, could be as low as $1000 in materials plus labor.
What was the cost of this project?
Materials were $6800 including the toilet.
How did you do that finish on the interior walls of the Bath? Or rather what is that finish called lol? @M10 Stuff
Knockdown spray texture. Lots of videos out there showing how.
@@m10stuff Thanks!
where did you relocate that grey box in the beginning? looks like maybe a sprinkler system panel. Its above where the outlet is. I see the outlet in the new bathroom, but was wondering where that other thing went.
You’re right, it’s a sprinkler control panel. Luckily the wires to that were external so I just undid the wire staples and moved it back into the garage to the left of the new door. I also added an outlet over there for the refrigerator and sprinklers.
I need this! Do you know of a contractor in south Lois with your skills?
I do not. Sorry
How has the toilet been so far? I’m going to be installing the same one in the near future for an almost identical project.
I’ve done a few of these over the past year. No problems or complaints. The only thing to be aware of is the noise when flushing or using the sink. It’s like a quiet garbage disposal.
@@m10stuff good to know! I’m actually considering buying the macerator separately and using a regular toilet with it. Plan is to install the macerator on the outside of the wall the toilet will be against if that makes sense, in order to cut down on the possible noise of it being in the same room. Have you ever done anything like that? Thanks again
@@Leviathan_I the connection between the toilet and the macerator is intentionally long enough to install the macerator in a wall. Which definitely cuts down on the noise. The toilet has to have the port off the back. Just make sure the macerator is accessible for any future service.
@@m10stuff thanks for the tips!
Where are you located i need something similar actually lol
Northern California.
@@m10stuffim in socal 😭 i have a floor plan measured up. Its about 5’ x 6.5’ i want to squeeze in a quarter round shower a small 18-20ish sink and toilet same as shown all hooked up to the toilet pump.
@@sexymonkey4979 cool. That macerating toilet can drain two other items. Like the shower and the vanity
