- Insecurities, we all have them and we all deal with them. So on this episode of the #ManjelahSeries were opening up about our own personal insecurities and how we strive to overcome them.

The insecurity of becoming a singer is literally me. I grew up singing in church and my dream was to be a singer. I am so afraid of the competition and idk where to start. I gave up after high school and went to college. I went through 2years of trying to decide what career I want. Nothing moves me like singing. I haven’t been in school for a year and a half. I fell upon this video right now and I have recently decided to get back into singing in church. I feel like God put this video in my way to give me a message about sticking to my dream of becoming a singer.

Thank you for sharing more of who you guys really are and doing this series! I am insecure about being a mom, I love my kids a lot but I just have a lot of insecurity when it comes to "moming". I am going to try to really own it and be the best version of myself for my kids.

I have a serious insecurity about speaking up for myself, telling my truth. I started watching comedy when I needed to feel better, to pull me out of depression that I was in for 20 plus yrs. I love LuisJGomez, AnjelahJohnson, BonnieMcFarland, SalVulcano, JoeList... the list continues. One person on here really taught me how to speak my truth and that ppl can just deal or move around, no big deal, but you have all taught me to face insecurities and overcome them. THANKYOU!!!
Great topic guys I think most people are insecure in everyday life...I believe if you find the right person to be with then they can help you overcome those insecurities. Love you.!

I think my insecurity is the fear of not being understood, pretty broad but so many can interpret things how they want it which isn't what is always intended.

Omg my insecurity is so sad- I lost a ton of weight and them batwings are present- it’s so embarrassing.
If I ever get insecure, I try to remind myself that we all have just this one life and at the end of it, it won’t matter that you have a “double chin” or whatever. I just try to be kind to others, enjoy life as much as possible, and give positive energy out into the world. Sounds cheesy but it’s what I do.

Oh my gosh!! I love this so much! It applies with exactly what is happening in my life right now. I’ve just recently (in April) started my own small business (selling a beauty line) and a part of it is going live on social media and applying the products and talking them up. I am so freakin’ insecure when I hit the live button that I literally freeze every time! But your video today really spoke to me and I am going to share it with my team I am a part of. I know many of the women I work with would benefit from this as well! Thank you so much and may God Bless both of you! 😘

Wow this is a big step up from video 1 of manjellah! I really do like it!
My weight has always been a problem. I've been up and down with how I look. Never getting to where I want to be. I'm on medication and it's for the rest of my life. When I began taking the medication, I started gaining weight, my feet and fingers began to swell. I hate all of this. I've learned the hard way that stop taking the medication doesn't work, for me. It sucks.
I want to bring my creations to life. Like I feel that I have great business ideas but I haven't started creating not even one. I know that I'm young and that 's one of my dumb excuses like" I'll find my way" bs but lol I haven't started anything and I plan on it .These last months before the year ends I will have at least one idea in my hands or the business plan for that idea. It sounds to me that the girl who decided to become a biochemist instead of a singer has a good head on her shoulders. Just because you have a dream doesn't mean you won't suck at it. Sounds like school is easy enough for her to finish her bachelors and masters and she'll make good money.

@@MINDOFMANNY If you find your work interesting, it can become your passion. I was a fine art major with dreams of somehow making it big but i changed my major to Automotive Technology because I was found it a much more stable job market. Now I love it. It's my passion. Now my dream is to show others how they can save some money and learn some skills by working on their own cars with a CZcams channel. It's awesome. What I'm saying is that we can discover different dreams that we're passionate and maybe better at. 😊 You guys are awesome. Anyway, Good luck to you and your dreams! ❤

I too have always wanted to be a singer , but like your friend have let fear and insecurity keep me from it. Suggestions on how to step out of that and toward my passion/dream? I’m not all that young anymore so kind of loosing the hope as well. Ugh
My insecurities is my speech because I have a speech impediment. I stutter and mumble. Most of the words doesn’t comes out clear and people judge me. I am a loner walking around in egg shells avoiding conversations as much as possible because they won’t get much out of me. Even if I speak, they push me away after mentally thinking they’re popular. I really have it bad when it comes to meeting women. They find me attractive but I won’t speak to them. And even if I do, I make it awkward. Just small talk trying to cover my stuttering. My other insecurity is my skin.

I just wanna help people know Jesus through messages and worship music. BUT , BIG BUT I don't because I care too much about what my friends and family will think and say when they see how different I am, I speak when I'm preaching and singing.
This was so cool to hear some of your insecurities. Thank you for sharing. I'm going through a huge process right now trying to heal from the self hatred I have shown myself for so many years. I have so many insecurities but they all stem from that. Lately my insecurities have been about my body and about if my Husband will stay faithful (which has nothing to do with him, it's insecurities left over from my 2 relationships before him). I've kind of put myself in a bubble and don't like to push myself to try something that I would fail at. Fear can be crippling but I'm working through it with God and soon a therapist to overcome these fears and realize who God has created me to be. And also understand that my worth is not in what I do but who I am!
Yes but ppl love you because you actually do that. Its respect you are gaining with an audience that feels distant from most other celebrities.and you look great...wouldn't worry about that. I need to hear his stuff btw. Never have..want to
