I went a stylist that was on his third Dyson dryer...the first two stopped working shortly after he received them. He always did a great job blow-drying my hair until he used the Dyson dryer. It was the worst blowout ever...dry, frizzy, awful. I am a licensed stylist too and use a Sedu Revolution 400i Ionic dryer and love it. I have lots fine, curly hair and this dryer gives me quick smooth blowouts in a fraction of the time other dryers do. I love the short nozzle and it's lightweight...not inexpensive but not $400.

I bought a Dyson dryer about a year ago. It was pretty tough to spend that much, but so glad I did! The cord is long and the dryer is very light weight, which is super important to me. I have a lot of very heavy hair, so normal/daily blow-outs take forever.... this dryer has cut the time substantially! I love it and expect to have it indefinitely.

I came across to your chanel one week back when i was searching for a blowout tutorial and immediately fell in love with your kind personality. Its kinda sad that 99% of the big beauty gurus on utube doesnot even feel near to as natural and genuine as you are. The warmth of your smile feels so close to the heart. I pray to god a long healthy prosperous life and career for you.

As a professional hairstylist I got the dyson a few months ago, and I LOVE it... I have tried various hairdryers over the last 20 years, and I have a theory about why some people don’t like the dyson....
The dyson is a tool!! So you need a little knowledge about what happens in the hair while blow drying is kinda essential to getting good results...
I’ve heard some people mention the ‘dry frizzy ends’ but I’ve had no such problems with it on my own fine naturally blondbut dyed dark and then ombre light ends...
And I havent had problems like that on clients hair either...
As you mentioned at the end of the video there needs to be considered about speed, heat and nozzle while using it....
For roughdrying my fine hair I use the ‘big’ concentrator nozzle, speed two and heat one....
for style drying I use the thin nozzle, and slow it down to one for both speed and heat....
On most of my ( Danish) clients I use it on one for heat and speed... only if I’m working with a thicker or very curly hair I crank it up a bit, but only either heat or speed, never both, and I NEVER use the third setting on hair, its great to have the option, but it’s just not good for the hair ;)

    • @sabinahertzum9728
      @sabinahertzum9728 Před 6 lety +2

Oh and by the way, we don’t have that box on the cord here in Denmark - so I think it’s function is some sort of power conversion to make it work on the American powergrid...

  • @ErinCRN

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Dyson. I have had a gazillion blow dryers over the years. I have thin fine hair but a lot of it. The Dyson rough dries my long hair in 4 minutes! Without burning it! It’s so lightweight with the weight balanced in the handle instead of the head, that if I want to take the time to round brush it, my arm does not get fatigued. I’ve never had the dry ends you describe but it sounds like you could change the speed on it to prevent your hair from whipping around as you describe. I honestly think it’s a game changer for dryers. I’ve suggested it to so many friends. No one has been disappointed. I can’t wait to see your review on the Dyson Airwrap ( when you get it!)

With the dyson dryer, Using the small smoothing nozzle that it comes with makes a massive difference. I use it on myself and my clients and they all comment on how smooth and shiny their hair is :) the UK version also doesn’t have that power pack on the cord. I also love that I don’t need to use the dyson on a hot setting to get a quick blow dry, especially while doing a clients hair :)

I LOVE my Dyson. Best beauty gadget I have ever used. Tiny bit of a learning curve not to move the dryer like a normal dryer but you have to let it sit and move the hair to it. My hair is fine and short and I think it leaves a great finish and makes the time shorter too.

I bought the Rusk Speed Freak based on your recommendation a few years back. It has been great! Probably 3 years old, maybe more and still works great. I bought it on Amazon for about $60 if memory serves me. I have thick, collar length, color treated hair that I mostly rough dry and then smooth with a Chi iron. Works for me. Thanx for all your tutorials and reviews!

Thank you for your HONEST review. Sometimes I think the Dyson company spent more money on youtubers advertising their hairdryer than on developing a good product. I had a horrible experience with the Dyson. I used the dryer for little over a year and my hair was dry, frizzy and I had such a massive fall out I really lost 1\3 of my hair. It didn't occur to me it could be from the hairdryer. Before Dyson my hair was healthy, long and thick, and I never experienced any hairproblems. Tried everything to stop hair loss, but no success. Until I changed the hairdryer. The fall out literally stopped the first time I quid using Dyson. I know the Dyson is really expensive, and people are reluctant to say they are not impressed, or maybe they can not believe that 400 dollar hairdryer will be anything but perfect, but it really was less than average for me. Unfortunately, Dyson's great design of the product cannot compensate for other things a good hairdryer needs to have. Especially for that price.

I have t3 and dyson. For me dyson wins. Yes it is expensive. But if you know which nozzle to use for what you want it works great. I have noticed less hair fallout in my brushes since using it. I will say I had wanted to dryer for some time but couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a dryer however my hubby gifted it to me for Christmas so it does make a great gift!

I get it that spending big bucks on a hair dryer is kinda extreme. However, being a Hairdresser it goes with the saying you get what you pay for. However again I can not spent 400 dollars on a Blowdryer. I agree with you Kate I thought 200 dollars was alot of money but i took the plunge and bought the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2 and I love it. It drys my Hair so much faster, smoother, healthier. I will not go back to a 30 dollar Hairdryer if I can help it. The health of my Hair is more important.

Yay! I love these comparison videos. I agree a flat iron one would be great. I would also vote for a 'travel tools' one since there are a lot of mini versions (some that are a duo curling/flat iron etc) - does price matter, can it go overseas etc.

I bought the Dyson as well. When I used it I didn’t feel the home and away by it and agree it was not a game changer on my hair. What I liked about it was the technology that it wasn’t damaging my hair. Luckily, I found a less expensive dupe, the shark hyper air. It’s half the price, and does what I love about the Dyson without making me feel so guilty for investing in what could have been my son’s first car.

Melanie B I ve watched millions of reviews and tutorials before buying mine and believe me none of it saved me from the shock. It’s so pricey for the quality and if u have naturally frizzy and dull hair then don’t bother it was nothing near the results you get with a traditional flat iron or
curling iron and not even close to the blow dry you get at the salon
Plus it over heated and melt the attachment and the wand lock as well

Is it weird that this video made me want the Dyson dryer?? My hair is SUPER thick and takes a long time to dry, so I would love some serious speed. My hair is also very smooth naturally (like almost too smooth - won't hold anything), so frizz isn't something I'm worried about. But, ugh - $400 - that's a serious price tag.

Good information. However, I know no one who would spend over $100 on a blow dryer. I feel like your price ranges were a little off. The T3 should have been your high point, which is still a very high dollar point. Would have been nice to see you do mid range ones like hot tools or other ones that are less than $100 but not drug store. Who seriously would pay $400 for a blow dryer?!

A Latitude Adjustment no, I wouldnt judge anyone. My point was just simply most people wouldn't spend that kind of money or wouldn't have the means to spend that kind of money on a hair dryer. For most people I know it just simply isn't realistic. That is all. Again, my original comment is I just wish there would have been more mid range options part of her review.
