  • How's it going guys! Here's a short little video discussing if auto integras really are as slow as people think. There's also a couple quick pulls and some hard driving. Thanks for watching!

Used to have a 99 integra automatic. Sometimes that car was gutless at overtaking, it didn’t always downshift, had to downshift it like a manual. We used to have a 97 and my dad got in a very bad wreck in it. He hit a forklift at 70-60 mph and the car flew a few feet in the air. He was okay though got out walking. That happened 7 years ago.

I think with the bigger engines like the 2.2 and 2.4 like what’s in the Honda accords then the automatic transmissions are actually half decent with the get up and go but with the smaller engines like the 1.6s and 1.8s that’s in the civics and integras you really need a 5 speed standard to get them going good, but I mean shit any Integra is still a nice ride in my opinion, their comfortable, they handle like a dream, extremely good MPG and super reliable.

That's the reason why that Integra is going slow is because it has like 300K on its engine when a new engine that is only 50,000 can only cost $350 only... My car gets an upgrade after 150k so I buy these motors all the time from Japan

I bought an auto LS for $175, got totaled 2 years, biggest POS I ever drove, engine was only firing on 3 cylinders, but even with that still the most reliable car I’ve owned. I replaced it with a 99 3000gt SL now but I still miss that integra.

@@christianmontesino171 nah, it wasn’t a fuel/ ignition related misfire so it wasn’t worth trying to fix it for me.

traditional old 4speed shitbox's torque converter heat up easier then manual or modern day automatic if you continuously force it up and down shifting in high loads , you can do it all the time , wont be a big problem unless youre boosting it , and remember to to the transmission fluid change
