Eddie might lose every big match but there's one thing that's consistent and that's that you will always believe that Eddie could win.

He's definitely world champion material, if not TNT champ at the very least! He might not be the most fluid in-ring (even though he's still way better than people make him out), but he's got that passion and the promo ability that honestly fades the line between kayfabe and real life more than anyone else I've ever heard before

Honestly I definitely think he’s world championship material. Sure he might not have the ideal look but he cuts some of the realest promos I’ve ever seen. His promo style reminds me of a more passionate Samoa Joe which is very high praise. I still think he’s pretty good in the ring even if there are better I absolutely he can hold a world title. While MJFs promos with CM Punk have been great my god the one CM punk had with Kingston was something special
I say he goes after Team Taz and takes the FTW belt. It fits him. And he can bring prestige to it while teaching a young Hook to keep his eyes on the prize.
Regardless of whatever happens, Kingston is gold and therefore should hold gold at some point to acknowledge the fact he's worthy of being called a Champion.
Eddie Kingston might not be the most “technical” wrestler, every one of his matches always feel like flights, and that’s a rare ability in pro wrestling today combine that with his mic skills and that’s for sure world champ material

Eddie Kingston is wrestling's real life Cinderella story- almost 20 years slaving away in the indie scene, only ever getting a taste of the semi-big time when he had a stint in TNA during one of its lowest periods... then AEW springs into existence and builds a home for him, and Eddie makes it his own. Seriously, that backstage speech he delivered during the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life secured him as the heart and soul of the promotion. Reading his Players' Tribune article really makes you tear up, because AEW coming calling for him then him getting a contract and becoming a big star there was like a _miracle_ for him. And now he's currently my favourite active wrestler in the world- not the _best_ wrestler, because my favourite wrestler has never been the "best" one (it's always been Mick Foley), but just the guy I want to get behind and see succeed the most. Is he World Champion material? Doesn't matter. That belt WILL be his because he'd _kill and die_ to get it. Eddie Kingston is the realest guy in wrestling.
Also it's funny, isn't it, how pretty much every feud Eddie has had in AEW ends with "unfortunately Eddie lost", yet he still remains massively over? He's such an underdog, even when he's a heel.

Eddie is one of so few wrestlers who aren't badly affected by losses. In fact, in some cases losing actually benefits him more, because it becomes fuel for his character. He is a character based wrestler, which feeds into his in ring, and that is what makes him stand out so damn much.

I'm one of those people that took to Twitter after the match he had with Cody that night. The match itself was awesome and so was the promo before the match, but it was the post match promo he cut that really allowed me to connect with Eddie. I truly felt that passionate fire for wrestling I think all of us fans feel for the sport and I just knew he belonged there. No gimmicks, nothing fancy, just a wrestler willing to die for this shit.
Eddie is easily in my top 5 favorites right now, and depending on the situation, he can be number one at any given time. The Mad King. 👑

I first saw eddie in LAX on impact with Santana, Homicide, and Ortiz. I just remember telling myself how good he was at promos. He was more of a manager but now I get to see him wrestle in AEW and I'm a big fan now

The thing about NJPW documentaries is that historically NJPW is very strict when it comes to c0pyrighting. whole channels have been taken down for covering new Japan content. As a rule of thumb as wrestling CZcamsrs it’s best to not cover NJPW content because you’re risking your channel. I love NJPW and I wish I could cover it more but with my style of commentary using a plethora of media in my videos. I know for a fact NJPW might come for me.

I found Eddie Kingston on NWA Powerr, dude made me keep watching even after all the bozo stuff and try to follow him through the indies, happy he has his ticket punched and is doing great.
All I really want out of pro wrestling in 2022 is for Eddie to win the AEW World Title at Grand Slam, ideally taking it off of MJF. It can be a short reign, he gets screwed over by whatever heel, maybe Miro or Malakai or somebody, but just get Eddie that brief reign. The pop from him winning, coming out to DMX as a one-time thing, maybe? An all-timer.

Eddie has that level of unique presence and raw charisma that he keeps being over with fans even if he has practically lost every feud he partook in.
I think a highlight is him beating Chris Jericho. Maybe in the next year or two he can have a title even if it's a transitional moment. It would be awesome to show how one can achieve after so long and never giving up

I want to see Eddie take the world title off of MJF when MJF inevitably gets the belt (and after he has a nice long reign with it). Imagine the rivalry. It would be a sort of rehash of the “you’ve had everything handed to you, I’ve worked my ass off for everything I have” story but that’s not a bad thing! Those two would be gold together.
Eddie takes the normally trash death match format and adds actual story telling to make compelling matches. That’s a pretty impressive thing to do.

I once seen Eddie Kingston cut a promo on an empty Kiddies swimming pool.
With Eddie Kingston being world championship material... he's definitely roughly at that level, and comparing him even to people like Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and CM Punk is somewhat subjective. On the other hand, being world-championship level seems to be different in AEW; since the reigns are always at least six months and the roster is so stacked, being world champion is objectively harder.
While I think he should be able to win the AEW championship, I don't know if the cards will fall in such a way where he wins the title. I can see him winning the belt, but I can also see others winning the belt and leaving him without a title win. I think they could set him up for some kind of major result, and I hope it's the case, but there may not be enough major results to go around.
