Man City Are Innocent of The Premier League's 115 Charges

  • Proof that Manchester City are innocent, after being charged with 115 charges by the Premier League.
    The ongoing case continues, with the Premier League's 115 charges that were levied at Manchester City, still having no end in sight.
    The latest twist in the tale is that the Etihad airline are going public on the stock exchange, which means all of their accounting information will be accessible. With a large portion of 115 charges revolving around the Etihad sponsorship deal, going public would provide insight into the legitimacy of the sponsorship deal between Manchester City and the Etihad airline company.
    Will that be enough proof to clear Man City's name entirely?

      @@Lusius-Lee Absolute garbage. They would not hire somebody at the centre of what would be the biggest corruption scandal ever in British football, it's about image as much as anything, and there is no doubt that one of the things Radcliffe wants most is to restore United's image as a top club. He wouldn't do that by hiring such a person if the club were guilty and Berrada was a big part of it, which he would have had to have been.
      The reality is that everybody (with any sense) knows this was posturing by the PL in the wake of the government trying to take away their governance. The idiots running the PL circus thought they would show the government that they could handle their own affairs by taking on little old City and it's probably dawned on them by now that they are about to shoot themselves in the foot with a bloody great blunderbuss when this hearing gets under way.
      Incidentally, everybody is saying if City have any proof why don't they come out with it? Well if the PL have any proof why don't they tell everybody what it is? They brought the case, not City and it would be harder for City to hide from if the whole world knew. The reality is they have nothing, I'm totally convinced of it.

As far as I'm aware the PL have to operate within the law.

The PL is alleging that City’s board, executives, auditors, outside global accounting firms KPMG and Deloitte and other sponsors were all active participants in an ongoing multi-year conspiracy to commit accounting fraud.
    That is a stark difference in the severity, complexity and number of allegations being levied at City while with NF and Everton, they’re quite straightforward: both clubs over spent thereby creating a breach of FFP rules.

      What exactly do you not understand here ?, the premier league / FA have deliberately dragged this out until they can find a way to make their charges fit the "evidence" they claim to have so in order to get this sorted some time in our lifetimes Etihad have decided to go public (floated on stock exchange) where it is legal requirement for every single piece of financing to be microscopically examined to expose any kind of wrong doing, this will be completed by the lawyers at the stock exchange not city and also in a fraction of the time the premier league / FA are claiming it will take. Etihad / city would not take this step if they had anything to hide as this would end up in actual prison sentences not just simple sporting punishments if fraud was uncovered.

I wonder If the PL just dropped the charges City would be happy with that or if they would start showing their side of things. Even if MCFC didn't want to pursue anything if found not guilty I wonder if people personally involved in the allegations would pursue anyone over the allegations against them and certain members of the media who have been shouting about the guilt after all "they've seen the emails". 😂

    I like Stefan, I think he gives some interesting insight into football finances but every time I see him talking about the City FFP investigation what he says boils down to this.
    1) "I haven't seen the evidence"
    2) The allegations are unprovable
    3) The Premier League has picked a fight it can't win.
    Maybe he's right and this ends up being a very embarrassing situation for the Premier League but it seems to me his argument is predicated on a pretty huge assumption of incompetence on the part of the Premier League.
    They have seen the evidence and they've chosen to go after City, knowing that if they fail, it will be very damaging for their reputation. That's a massive assumption as far as I'm concerned.

    • @Sy_MCFC
      @Sy_MCFC Před měsícem +1

      Would it have been more embarrising if they didnt charged them after 4 years of investigation? And how would the rest of the Premier league clubs and all their fans act if they did not charge City? They had no other option and just hope some will stick and Else they can lift their hands up and say “we tried”

    • @creasicle
      @creasicle Před měsícem

      @@Sy_MCFC I think you're reaching there. There's no obligation for the Premier League to charge City if they think the charges won't stick. We have to assume they've done their due diligence, they'll get hammered just the same if City clear themselves of all charges so as far as I can see the only difference is it wastes more time and a lot of money for what? Keeping up appearances? Seems totally bonkers to me.

      @@creasicle Don't you think there's a possibility that the clubs forced the PL into this witch hunt? The PL and the Champions League were spawned from the greed of the G14 cartel/ big English clubs under the threat of taking their ball home and setting up their own competitions. The recent attempted defection to a European Super League has already had the desired effect of sending the ECL prize money soaring. All these clubs are self interested. They don't want other clubs being able to compete. That's why they forced FFP onto the governing bodies, then twisted it to block off all competition. City got through just in time before the drawbrige was pulled up. It will be more difficult for the likes of Newcastle. This protectionism is cheating in my opinion. In fact, it's illegal in any other business.
