CC Cruise Control self diagnostic Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star Venture TFS (II gen)

Steps / Kroki:
1. Turn the main switch ON
2. Press the on side of the CRUISE switch
3. Start the engine and use the engine stop switch to turn the engine off
4. Wait 10 seconds, then press and hold the cancel switch while alternately pushing the cruise control switch from SET to RES three times within 2 seconds (rock the cancel switch a total six times)
5. The SET and RES light flash three times and the system enters the on-boad diagnostic mode.
6. If no errors are detected, both the SET and RES lights remain on. If one or both lights go out, an error is detected.
7. Once testing is completed, exit the on-board diagnostic mode.
EXITING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC MODE
Exit the on-board diagnostic mode by performing any on of the following tasks:
1. Start the engine
2. Turn the rear wheel
3. Turn the main switch OFF
4. Press the off side of the CRUISE switch

What does this procedure do for your cruise control ?

This procedure is used to enter diagnostic mode.
It will show cruise control system errors. For example, the brake sensor is not working properly - as in this video. The lastes frames of the video shows decode the above-mentioned messages.

@@slavicriders I wonder if it is the same for the Royal Star tour deluxe? They share the same cruise control, but the display setup is different.
