Thanks for your great content, I may be mistaken but you either did not hone the cylinder or did it off camera….. I do appreciate your taking the effort to do these videos.
Hello. No I didnt hone it. You dont want to hone nickel plated cylinders. They are honed when new only but if that honing wears away its a sure sign that it just needs to be replaced or replated because its about to just wear through the plating as a whole. On this video here czcams.com/video/vaFp8aYkHNA/video.html the guy covering honing nickle plated cylinder pretty well. Its for 2 strokes but the same applies to the 4 stroke cylinders.
This is a 2004-2006 motor they didn’t have the oil spitters in them until Yamaha upgraded the oil delivery system in 2007
The head bolts need oil on threads, and on the washers.

okay so the reduction gear don't free spin it just a gear to assist the start
If I understand correctly yes just to assist.
When I put my starter gear back in it keeps catching on the bolts back there. Others have had the same issue but no one will say what they did 😔 any idea?
Are you talking about the big gear for the starter clutch?
