In Game 1, when Lindholm made the score 2-4, the arena was electric!! And that energy didn’t stop until the end of the game!! Everyone could feel the comeback coming and the Canucks definitely feed off that energy. The Oilers crowd didn’t bring that same energy tonight.

Hronek(RFA sign and Trade) + Hoglander and a 2nd in like 2026/27 or something for Marner at like 30%(ish) retained by Toronto to give Van room to sign Joshua and Zadorov. Toronto gets a first pairing right shot, puck moving D who is relatively young, a very skilled but sometimes inconsistent and undisciplined player in hoglander, and a future decent player(pending they scout/draft well) and Vancouver adds a real playmaker for Petterson to shoot his shot, rounding out their top 6 real nicely. Then Van brings back Tanev to play with Hughes, JT Miller beats the cry baby outta Mitch and he becomes a playoff beast.
Don't count out trader Jim(Rutherford)
Marner plays out his one season, sees how to win(Hopefully) and resigns a 3-5 year deal @ like 8-8.5m per.

I did not like what Soucy did there to McJesus, but Nurse hit Pettersson head first into the boards in game 2 and slewed foot Hughes in game 2. So, if your team does that kind of dangerous stuff to our star players (though Petersson isn't playing like one right now), expect a return in kind.
