@@rustykuntz94 For sure. Love all the behind the scenes info and how, since it was well after the fact, guys like Eddie O could be really candid about how he felt vs worrying about Keenan trading him for lashing out. Lol
I can honestly admit to crying tears of joy for the New York Rangers and their incredible fans. This from a 72 year old, who has witnessed 14 Stanley Cup victories of his beloved Montreal Canadiens. I can’t imagine waiting 54 years to experience the absolute bliss and euphoria that winning the greatest trophy in all of sport provides.

My uncle was a paramedic for MSG during that time and he snuck my Grandma in an ambulance into MSG for game 7 gainst the Devils, no seat, so she just stood behind The net, was behind the net when Matteau scored. Here's my version of Road to Victory: The 1994 New York Rangers Story. My favorite part of it makes you cry as well. Harry Neale quoting Albert Einstein summing up the feeling of the Vancouver Canucks when they lost to the Rangers, as that was how the Rangers felt when they lost to L.A. (2014 Finals), "One of the greatest tragedies of his life sometimes dies in a man while he lives." czcams.com/video/rsh1mC4Zs8A/video.html
Same here! That year I was 13 and introduced to hockey, now, at 40, I’m a manager at an ice rink and still play hockey today. I cried when they won and I definitely get all choked up 26 years later.
My late father was a New York Ranger fan since the age of 13. He grew up on the east side and fell in love with hockey at that age and he just follow the Rangers year after year until 1968 when he bought two season tickets at the Garden to his beloved blue shirts. He had those seats until2020 when you can no longer physically go down into the City and pass them on to my brother-in-law. He has been honored at Center Ice as a 50-year plus season ticket holder and I can tell you other than marrying my mother and the birth of my sister and myself the Rangers winning the Stanley Cup in 94 was one of the greatest moments in his life. I watch these videos and I think how much I love him, he brought me to so many games I can't even begin to count. And he finally saw his cup in 94 after telling me several times we would have won it in the early 70s except for a guy who wore number 4 for the Bruins , Bobby Orr.
Not a leafs fan but that would be so cool to watch. Especially to see Matthews, Marner, and Nylander just kill all the stupid criticism they’ve gotten over the years
when i saw 2 hr long vid, i said, who in their right mind would waste 2 hrs of their day watching something that happened 23 yrs ago. Well, i started watching and could not stop. i ended up watching it all. It was so interesting, and i'm from MTL and not a NYR fan. but it brought back good memories.
Saddest story a friend who was a Ranger fan since the 1960s was thrilled to see the Rangers win the Cup and commented,” my life is now complete.” He would die in an accident 3 weeks later. RIP AC
Great upload! Been a Rangers fan since 72' Adam Graves lived on my street in Toronto. I remember playing road hockey with him and skating on the pond behind my house and at Cliffwood park with him, he was just so much better than all of us. I cried on that day when the cup was won and was proud of Adam! It was the best Stanley cup ever!! Messier is a legend! That team was special.
I'm a Leafs fan. All my life. I'd give anything to win that damned cup. Rangers fans yeah it's 25 years ago now, but I'd give anything to have shared one cup with my dad. He was THE GREATEST Leafs fan of all time, believe me. 35 years we had season tickets. I watched the Leafs get eliminated by Boston, again, with him last month. His last game it turns out. He died three days later.
This all started with me telling my wife that I'm ready to go out and her replying 'Okay hun, I'll just need a sec'. Then me opening my laptop and the youtube algorithm giving me this amazing 100 minute experience. Thank you! From a Jets fan (since -91)
Game 6 in New Jersey was the greatest game in Ranger History and maybe the greatest game in Hockey History! Oh yeah game 7 was pretty good too. It's been 30 years and I can still hear it ringing in my head, Matteau - Matteau - Matteau
Proud to say I marched in that Cup parade. My roller hockey league was able to get a pass and we were on the street walking down Broadway. It's almost impossible to put into words the jolt of energy, of utter awe, that crowd noise provided. The happiness was so palpable. I help up a sign that said "What now Islander fans?" The people on the sidewalk roared. This was a great documentary, the first time I've seen it. One of the greatest moments of my life.
I was there and found it to be filthy, gross and absolutely disgusting. There were junkies begging and pigeon shit everywhere! How cheap to have a parade during working hours. All the people that were there were basically taking a break from their jobs in that area. That’s why they don’t do NY parades on weekends. Nobody would go into that gross ass area if they’re not getting paid to do so. The streets are dirty and there’s nothing at all in that area for anyone to see. Nothing! Canyon for Yankees is what it should be called. Other then the Yankees NY teams flat out suck!

So happy to see this on CZcams since so many fans I know have been asking about it. Cannot begin to tell you what an honor and privilege it was to be a part of this. :)
I remember that playoff run like it was yesterday....i was at game 5 of the ECF and the train ride back to NJ was like a funeral procession, i ended up going to 5 total playoff games in 94, had season tiks from 01-11 and gave them up due to reno and increasing prices, was a hell of a ride, am hoping for another one in the near future
I put this on as I was working on my sound card and I needed something to play while I tested settings...I started to watch it...and could not stop. This had all the heartaches any joy that any true fan has had to endure when following their sports team. Talking to the sports writers, players, coaches, fans, etc...just was really a joy to watch. I now will find something hopefully boring to contnue to work on my soundcard! lol
I had season tickets that year with my dad. It was the best year of my life. If I could relive one day with my dad it would be the day our beloved Rangers won the Stanley Cup
@@joevassilatos3712 Sweet!! That musta been awesome, shock n all! Lol. I've got 2 pics with Cup from having been to the HOF up in Toronto. No shock however lol other than disbelief that NYR finally got their names on it again 😉
I know this sounds random but... I became a hockey fan in 94. I'm from Dallas and just fell in love with The Stars instantly. After The Stars were knocked out the 1994 playoffs... I heard about how long it had been for the New York Rangers. That Stanley Cup Finals series was unreal. The Canucks and The Rangers going at it like 2 heavyweights. All 7 games. Besides The Stars moving to Dallas from Minnesota. This is what made me love The NHL... Thanks for posting.
Im from san antonio and its crazy but minus the falling in love with the stars i became a fan the year before a little bit when the kings were playing the leafs then the next year i watched the whole playoffs and thought it was amazing. 50 years and new york was electric. I have not seen many things like that since.
That’s when I became a hockey fan too. I’m from Boston and back in 94 I was 11 years old and I was the biggest Rangers fan ! Obviously a Bruins fan too. But I wanted the rangers to get the cup back then.
Well being from Minnesota, I was on the flip side of the whole situation from what the folks in Dallas were feeling in 1993-94. I was a North Stars fan and in April of 1993, the North Stars left town thanks to Norm Greed (he forever is a villain of the highest order in Minnesota lore). Without a team to support and not wanting to align with any of the Campbell Conference foes, I started following this 93-94 Rangers team, mostly because of Mark Messier (but also because I liked Mike Richter and Brian Leetch). I became a Rangers fan in that 1993-94 season and remain so to this day even though they have not won another Cup. That said, I am glad for the sake of the hockey diehards in Minnesota that the Minnesota Wild are here now. But nothing replaces the Rangers for me personally. Also, I DID root for the Dallas Stars to win that Stanley Cup in 1999. I still wish the best for the Stars. It isn't Dallas' fault Norm Greed did what he did. Well maybe just a little.
I was a young man in the military serving in Korea when this happened. I remember watching games while eating breakfast in the chow hall. Everyone thought i was nuts during the NJ series. I was jumping around slinging hash browns over everyone hollering , and laughing. I hope that I can witness another sporting event that can even come close to the excitement that the 93-94 season had.
Remembering this in 94 ,collecting my winnings from my home boys and shedding a tear.I waited since their were six in the league and in black and white
My dad, brother and I were long-time fans: my late father since about the 1940's; my brother since about 1970; me since about 1976. My dad and I were on the phone immediately after the 1994 win and we just laughed and laughed. We had moved from Brooklyn to Huntington, L.I. when I was 4. I grew up a city boy in the burbs. I had suffered most of my young life under the shadow of the NY Islanders dynasty. My nearest redemption coming so, so close in 1979 only to be dashed by Montreal. I kind of lost my belief in the team for a while, but of course came back in maybe 4-5 years. Then came that glorious, sun-swept day. My favorite sign in the audience : "Now I can die in peace." EXACTLY how I felt. No other win is now necessary to always have my Gers in my heart. No other sporting event can match the anxiety of the near-fatal plays; none will ever bring such great relief; none will come within 10,000 miles of her majesty.
I’m a Habs fan too but I was happy for the Rangers when they won it back in 94 I remember vividly When I was a kid for us winning the cup was a tradition and I took it for granted. After 27 years of waiting for another one I will really appreciate the moment. Seeing the joy of the New York fans made me dream Excellent video. Thanks for sharing Let’s hope sooner than later
As a Bruins fan, I’ve always been most impressed with and envious of Ranger fans. Very loyal group and still support when it’s a struggle. They don’t need to trick out MSG to pander to pink hats like our home and they’ve always travelled in numbers with dignity regardless of standings. My brother is a big fan and they’re no doubt my second team. I watched every game of this final at my buds house in Mass like a ritual with some beers and a nice J, completely enthralled.
In 1992 my very good friend Mark Gentler (NHL scouter - agent for Russian players at that time. I am a Russian also and a big Rangers fan) introduced to me Valery Zelepuhin and his wife Stella. I help them to find apartment to rent in West Orange after he was called up from the farm team in upstate NY. I’m much older than him, but we became good friends and I was happy to see him becoming a successful NHL player. But boy oh boy!!!! Did he break my heart with 7 seconds remaining??!!! If you look again at the moment Stefan Matteau scored that famous overtime goal, he tried to get up from his knees to celebrate…. Valery was tripping him several times and I was laughing my a…s out. I called him next day and said “I hate you for that goal, but love you for that tripping on Matteau”. Matteau Matteau Matteau …. Oh what a wonderful feeling!!! Valery has won several Stanley Cups the following years with Devils and I had a chance to hold a cup in my hands, but it really felt strange as I was holding someone else’s million dollar check. It’s like who cares?
This brings back so many memories for me!!!. I had 100 heart attacks watching this series, and I see I wasn't the only one!!! I will always love this team
I was born in 1990, the best day of my lifetime is the only Rangers playoff game I went to, I was 3 going to game 7. I was a die heart Rangers fan. I screamed when they won.
ALL of these Stanley Cup pieces are excellent! Every year, every team from 94' to last season with Vegas. Wonderful works and so much fun to revisit. But, this one is by far THE BEST!

Mike Richter, Mark Messier, Esa Tikkanen, Adam Graves, Brian Leetch, Alex Kovalev, Sergei Zubov, Steve Larmer, Glenn Anderson, Brian Noonan, Stephane Matteau, Kevin Lowe, etc. What a team!
@@ericavogardo4784 or, the New York Oiler Hawks. But hey, as Neil Smith said, "Well, who should I be trading for, then? Senators and Sharks?" Smith wanted to build a winner, so he went to the winning teams. Can't blame him.
I remember that. The seven games of the final were even shown live overseas here in Europe. I've been obsessed with hockey ever since. In my humble opinion it was the best SCfinal. What a brilliant team these Rangers were and they had a truly worthy opponent in the Canucks. Btw: The jerseys looked so much better back then and were of great quality 😉
As a VANCOUVER (heart 🏒 💔 broken) CANUCKS FAN I 26yrs later, say congrats 👏 Although this special look back coverage didn't cover everything like the line brawls the bruises black eye and harsh words just to get to the Finals each team went through. This was a great show and you New Yorkers are awesome NHL HOCKEY FANS People, your boys were the better team that night.. again congrats! I remember our CANUCKS RUN that year as we were enjoying our new super star Pavel Bure and how the entire team evolved seemingly over night to support keeping a super star. We are still battling for the cup, so many ups and downs... being a NHL HOME TEAM FAN is gut wrenching Rollercoaster... its all a blast though.
This is such a classy response from a Canucks fan and really warms my heart. I know you fans in Vancouver have been through a lot and I hope someday you guys finally get your cup celebration too.
Goosebumps are real. Incredible video, this made me a Rangers fan as an 8 year old. I saw the game in the morning the day after since i live in Europe. Amazing
Mark Messier deserved to make the salary he made in that NHL trade he was one of the greatest leaders I've ever seen on an NHL Hockey 🏒 team I was never really an Oilers fan but you had to admire his leadership and skill to lead his team's it's really outstanding to win 6 Stanley Cups 5 with the Edmonton Oilers and a 6th with The New York Rangers what an outstanding career but it takes hard work and dedication to become a success in any sport Mark Messier was all those things and a true leader I'm an NHL fan.
i will always remember how we were losing game six, down three games to two, by two goals after one period, and how, at that point, I gave up on them, in despair. Thank goodness they did not give up on themselves. But I will never forget how depressed I felt when all seemed lost.

Can you tell me why a team would dump players like Tony Amonte, Randy Gilhen, John VanBiesbrouck, Tim Kerr, Doug Weight, Mike Gartner, Tony Granato, Tomas Sandstrom, Ulf Dahlen, Brian Mullin, James Patrick, Bernie Nicholls, Mark Hardy, Kelly Kisio, Troy Mallette, Corey Millen, Randy Moller, David Shaw, Mike Janssens, Paul Broten, Rob Zamuner, Kris King, Darren Turcotte, Joe Cirella, Jan Erixon, Per Djoos, Tie Domi, John Ogrodnick, Ray Sheppard all within a three year time period? ----------- Answer: To get the Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks to win the cup for N.Y. in 1994!
Mr Krider, Dubinsky, Blackburn. Who didn't love watching Crackhead Theo act like an ass! Let's get Avery back to score 3 goals in a season. Nice job at letting your real goalie (Cam Talbots's) get away to Edmonton. I guess the rangers still owe Edmonton since the 1994 OILERS REUNION IN NEW YORK. Old Gretzky helped you to the golf course too huh?! How did Higgins do? ROTFLMAO. BWAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! 1-2-3 CUPS FOR KING MARTY! 1994 REUNITED OILERS!
Game 6 and 7(RANGERS VS dEVILS) , probably the most INTENSE games in sporting history. They compare to the 1980 USA vs USSR!!! I have always been an Islanders fan, but what Mark Messier did in game 6 was EPIC!!!! You have admire what he did before and after game 6, no matter what team you follow. I will always have a special place in my heart for this one hockey series(Rangers vs Devils). The finals were anticlimatic, I knew the Rangers were gonna win. OH, one last thing: MATTEAU, MATTEAU, MATTEAU, STEPHAN MATTEAU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really think there is no bigger sports story than that. The guarantee, the hat trick, the rivalry, the players, the town, the history, the Zelepukin goal, the Matteau goal. It doesn't get better than that.
Just *HAD* to come back here after the Rangers just won game 7 vs. the Canes last night, coming back to this video just gives good vibes #GoodLuckCharm
Global Hockey League if John Vanbiesbrouck and Wayne Gretzky were on that team, he would’ve won the Conn Smythe, instead of Leetch. Also, Beezer would’ve won the Vezina, Hart and William Jennings trophies and Gretzky would’ve won the Art Ross trophy. Mike Keenan would’ve won the Jack Adams award and stayed on with us.
Watching this again during Covid-19 and it brings back such awesome memories. Being 58. I'm in that sweet spot of having dealt with so many disappointments and horrific losses and so when the Cup was won, it really was a "I could die in peace" moment for any of us in our early 30's at the time. I gotta really good feeling that this current Ranger team has a few Cup runs in it during this new decade and it will be glorious for sure but not sure anything will ever top the '94 Cup win which broke the 54 year curse!. Lets Go Rangers!!
Thank you for putting this up, I wasn’t alive for this but I watch this video like once a week and I’ll continue to do so until the Rangers win another!
Here's my version of it. I incorporated key clips from the CBC's broadcast of Game 7 of the Finals into the video. czcams.com/video/rvmub3MoMns/video.html
Just thinking of that moment when the clock hit Zero in game 7, I was 10, oh my God!! I still get chills!! Thank you Rangers for giving us fans what you have!! Thank you Hockey Gods!! hahaha Greatest game on Earth !!
This truly was an amazing, magical ride which us Rangers fans will forever remember as long as we live. That being even if this cup did cost them dearly down the road, and was as if a new curse was placed on the franchise in return too. It was well worth it, but still though!
I was at yankee stadium for game 6 at the devils. there was a rain delay during the game, everyone was under cover. then all of a sudden, the whole stadium erupts. everyone gets the news of messier hat trick. It was awesome
Glossed over how weird game 5 was. Canucks led 1-0 going I to the 3rd. Scored 2 to make it 3-0. Rangers score 3 to tie. Canucks score 3 more to win 6-3. 8 goals in the third period in game 5 of the finals--unbelievable.
I understand. I Missed them winning in 94 cause I had to go to bed. I was 11 and my parents were strict and wouldn't let me stay up late to watch it. Got to see them go to the Finals in 2014. Was a crushing blow when they didn't win the cup that year! HOPE THEY GET THEIR CHANCE THIS YR!! LETS GO RANGERS! #WeneedacupNOW!
RodStewartfan1 I'm hoping the boys can do it this year for Hank. After everything he has given to the league, the NYR organization and the fans, he deserves it more the. most in the league. The guy is a class act inside and out. And Hank starting to play like vintage Hank just at the right time, now if Hayes, Miller, krieder and stepan can start to get going we might just have that special chemistry and depth on the team to go all the way....LGR baby game 2 let's win this against Ottawa!!!
Hockey is at the very bottom of the sports chain in NY so don’t be surprised if you never see another Oilers cup in NY. Tennis and soccer are above hockey in NY.
Ranger fan since 1976 at 6 years old. Thank you for uploading this. My favorite Ranger team was in 79 when we came close but this is right up there too. Hard to believe been 25 years since. Feels like 10 years. Another 15 years or so to go and we will be talking about people chanting 1994. lol
I watched the Rangers win the cup that year with my buddy and his dad. I remember watching my buddies dad cry that night becuase his father had been a Rangers fan since 40's and had never got to see them win the cup. I'll always remember the tears that ran down his face. RANGERS HOCKEY FOREVER!
Been a Rangers fan since seeing my first game at the old Garden, December 26, 19 54, a tie with the Black Hawks. They were the two worst teams in hockey, that year, but I loved the sport and adopted the players as my own. Andy Bathgate, Dean Prentice, Gump, Harry, Louie Fontinato et al, I will always love them all.
Matthew Smith Should have been a Rangers sweep, but they always do things the hard way. Seriously, Vancouver had at the most 4 players who would have made the Rangers team.
Very good and glad to see on CZcams, but there are some things I'm surprised they glossed over: Adam Graves' 50th goal Mike Richter's 20 game unbeaten streak Hosting All-Star Game weekend The 16 game unbeaten streak right after that bad Anaheim loss Steve Larmer's return to Chicago Gartner's 600th goal
I'd add: the absolute shellacking of NYI in the first round (outscoring 22-3); could've shown a few more McLean saves from game one (he was incredible); should've focussed more on the insane 3rd period of game five (8 goals scored in less than 13 minute span). Could've done with less of the local yokels fretting about their years of agony.
Agreed on some of these like Gravy 50 and Larmer PS. But Gartner was dealt so u can understand no 600. Luckily these are all captured on the Oh Baby video.
I had never seen this video and it was absolutely great to relive that season. Like many of those guys I've been a Rangers fan since 1968. I lived through all the heartache and heartbreak with them losing to the Bruins in the '72 finals then besting the Islanders in '79 only to lose to the Canadians in the finals. It took a Champion like Mark Messier to come here and display a the heart and mental toughness to win a Championship. His guarantee and hat trick vs the Devils showed what a true champion is. It filtered through the rest of the team and culminated in the greatest win in Rangers History.
I def to this day believe like what John Dellapina said the Rangers/Devils series (and Game 7 of the Finals) was the greatest hockey I've ever seen played. The intensity, drama, rivalry all with a back & forth series that 3 games had to go to double OT. Just fantastic!
I'm not a Rangers fan but this was an incredible hockey moment. Then the NHL s--t the bed by having the work stoppage. It had the momentum to pass the NBA and really become a fixture...and blew it.
23 years later and we still haven't won yet again. At least when we do it'll be special like this one. I've been waiting to see Lundqvist hold the cup over his head and I can't wait to see it
Believe me I know exactly what you mean! I ALWAYS picture him raising it above his head! Hope he gets it this yr! He deserves it so much! I'll cry if it does happen!! Happy tears of course! LETS GO RANGERS!
Yeah right! Keep reading those little hockey articles in the Post and Daily News that brainwash no nothing hockey fans into believing their hyped up bs. Real Kings wear Rings! Nash is a big time bust! The great Captain stories stopped when the cup left town. Cam Talbot blows Hank away! Hockey is a joke in NY and it's why your bum funk covered arena was re fabricated and not given a new one like every sports team in NY got. Hitler saw the rangers win more cups then you!
Facts facts all facts is what you'll get from me kid. If you want lies you can listen to the MSG puppets tell you about the "great history" at MSG. A 54 year cup drought is not great. One cup in 78 years is not great. Two Knick championships since 1960 is not great. Morons like you think that a team has great history because they've been around a long time when in fact the Rangers have had a very poor history for a long time. The tree in my backyard is over 100 years old and I don't see anyone giving two shits about it. Old equals tired and washed up. The Rangers Suck ass!
RealHmac/Haydn never gonna happen, Lundqvist is in the down slide of his career, he has been regressing year after year since he took them to the finals.
Hank blows! Cam Talbot was the better goalie. Every player in the league is aware of Hanks very poor glove hand. The 2014 run was made possible by great defense and shot blocking. Love his highlite blinder behind the net last night for the Sharks fourth goal. ROTFLMAO.
I was 7-8 years old when I saw my first Ranger game at the Garden in the early 70's. My dad bought me an Eddie Giacomin poster that I had in my room until I moved out. I love Howie's quote about the end of the 3rd period of Game 7 of cup finals(1:26:02). It sums up what's it's like to a Ranger fan.
Great documentary! As a DucksFan, I always wanted to see Hank lead the mighty Rangers to a Stanley cup before his days seem scarce. Heads up Ranger fans, you'll get yours soon. Especially with guys like Chytil and Andersson coming up.

This got me choked up. Big thanks to our fathers =)

The leafs will get one soon, they have the team to do it. Matthews a beast.

As a Flyer fan of 50 years, I enjoyed this as a hockey fan. Very well done.
That is sooo cool about u and Adam. Can't imagine. Ive met him several times and just the nicest most sincere human being u could ever meet. Lucky u.
LETS GO RANGERS!!! This gives me chills. Wasn’t alive to see it but I know I’ll be alive for another cup to come. LGR🔴⚪️🔵
As a leaf fan too I hope the leafs have their own 1994 year too🙏
This all started with me telling my wife that I'm ready to go out and her replying 'Okay hun, I'll just need a sec'. Then me opening my laptop and the youtube algorithm giving me this amazing 100 minute experience. Thank you!

Gross! New York is just gross!
You’re a flat out liar!
It was you who held, "Islander fans, now what?" sign? Lol, legend. 👍🏻

Insane series. Never gets old.
@Shelby Shoup Arrested For Crack lol you're a dick.
Im from san antonio and its crazy but minus the falling in love with the stars i became a fan the year before a little bit when the kings were playing the leafs then the next year i watched the whole playoffs and thought it was amazing. 50 years and new york was electric. I have not seen many things like that since.
I echo your comment exactly. The Dallas Stars, NHL '94, and the Rangers ending a 54 year-old curse is what made me a hockey fan for life.
As a Blues fan I completely understand every part, every emotion these fans felt in this video!!!!!
Not a rangers fan by any means, a penguins fan actually. But my God, if this isn’t the greatest single season story ever told, I don’t know what is.
I was a young man in the military serving in Korea when this happened. I remember watching games while eating breakfast in the chow hall. Everyone thought i was nuts during the NJ series. I was jumping around slinging hash browns over everyone hollering , and laughing. I hope that I can witness another sporting event that can even come close to the excitement that the 93-94 season had.
ty for your service and a great story
Remembering this in 94 ,collecting my winnings from my home boys and shedding a tear.I waited since their were six in the league and in black and white
I'm not a Rangers fan, but this just gave me shivers
I was puking
You had fever, go back to bed. lol
The best playoffs series of any sport, ever. NYR vs NJD, 94.
30 years later and it's time to do it again in 2024! LGR!!!!!
The summer of 94...I was only 12, but it was such an incredible time.
I’m a Habs fan too but I was happy for the Rangers when they won it back in 94 I remember vividly
When I was a kid for us winning the cup was a tradition and I took it for granted. After 27 years of waiting for another one I will really appreciate the moment. Seeing the joy of the New York fans made me dream Excellent video. Thanks for sharing
Let’s hope sooner than later
As a Bruins fan, I’ve always been most impressed with and envious of Ranger fans. Very loyal group and still support when it’s a struggle. They don’t need to trick out MSG to pander to pink hats like our home and they’ve always travelled in numbers with dignity regardless of standings. My brother is a big fan and they’re no doubt my second team. I watched every game of this final at my buds house in Mass like a ritual with some beers and a nice J, completely enthralled.
I'm not a Rangers fan, but this video made me feel good for their fan base. Definately Top 5 jersey of all time.
36 year old Bruins fan and the ‘94 Final is my favorite.

Matthew Smith Should have been a Rangers sweep, but they always do things the hard way. Seriously, Vancouver had at the most 4 players who would have made the Rangers team.
Matthew Smith that was a hell of a series your team didn’t deserve to lose the series that was one that a co champion needed to happen
Thats because the Canucks were used to getting beat by the Oilers.
Todd Murphy The NY Rangers have owned Vancouver since they came into the league.
FYI: 79 - 32 - 8 - 1 in favor of the Rangers. I'd call that owning somebody.
Very good and glad to see on CZcams, but there are some things I'm surprised they glossed over:
Adam Graves' 50th goal
Mike Richter's 20 game unbeaten streak
Hosting All-Star Game weekend
The 16 game unbeaten streak right after that bad Anaheim loss
Steve Larmer's return to Chicago
Gartner's 600th goal

Thank you Rangers!
You made my precious memories.
Emotional, intense and dramatic doc archive...suffering and misery for 54 yrs. But then it's for a life time. This team are legends 4ever...what a team!!!

@@lucasugafan4419 lol 😅!!! You are right!!! Looks like the Rangers are a better team!!! No more wishes from my side? Or maybe i should say, i hope it doesn't take so to win the Cup as the Cubbies 🤐!!!
Great to see a star of another sport (NFL) like Boomer Esiason be even more passionate here about hockey and following the Rangers since he was a kid with his Dad.
This is col video, thank you for sharing LGR!
i was 13 when they won the cup and it was amazing... I'm waiting for them to win again.. So i can partake in the fun. But they are and will always be my team! Let's go Rangers!
