    People don’t get it ….every Indian household has a different recipe….but the basic is to use rice and leftover meat

    Rose water is used to perfume desserts. We use screw pine ( kewra) water to perfume savoury dishes ( not more than one or 2 drops)

    In Kolkata Biriyani potato is must….be it with meat or not …..and straining rice a good practice as it removes the starch

    Yes. The rice is cooked 80% in water and the rest of the cooking is done after layering the meat and rice and sealing the vessel and cooking on a low heat.

    I'm not even a chef but still I feel offended seeing the most disastrous Biryani ever and not just me but most of the South Asian community(Especially India, Pakistan and Bangladesh). Old Delhi walo #justicefordillibiryani 😭😱😰

      @@AWAKENHAYATO-ic1cw have u seen kashmiri biryani ? they put whole fruits in it. ive ate biryani from mumbai and hyderabad with dates, plums etc and many other places put it. its common
