No even major Indian immigrants were belong to middle class people in usa they are because due to low job opportunities in India and high in usa but one of the most advantage for indian stu. Indian education system generally is very good until 12th but absolutely suck at University level. Thats one of the reasons why Indians do well abroad but not that well in India. Also, most people who travel abroad are either from wealthy families or are reasonably good with their studies.

@@harishrao2000, I disagree. If somebody actually follows the University curriculum properly (which is subjective) there is no reason why they shouldn't excel. A significant proportion of Indians who excel in the west actually go there after completing their UG in India. Getting into a US university to do a UG, after clearing SAT, is something that most Indians can't afford, unless they get a full or a partial scholarship. Contrary to this, it is less expensive to do a Master's in the west. Which many of them opt for, and most of whom aren't even IIT ans. And whose ranking system are You referring to ? The criteria based on which these rankings are done is not met by many universities in India. But that is not because of the poor education system. A university in the US for example has a Medical school, humanities department and many other departments which many Universities in India and even the IIT's don't have.

It is actually the opposite ... Colleges(higher education) in India is tougher than US based schools... those who don't get admission in Indian schools they go to America..[For example - it is tough to get admission in IITs (engineering school) IIMs(Business School) AIIMS (Medical school) which are in India]. and they shine because they found that there is really no competition there in US.. I know it may sound arrogant but it is true that... when Indians go to US schools they find hardly any competitors.. because we Indians are put in high competition from the age of 6years.. which other ethnics don't have.. that is one of the reason why Indians find everything easy compare to other ethnics.

The only reason why people go to Western countries for studies is to get a work visa and not pure education as that is nothing close to what Indian institutes offer. Apart from that, we are a very hard-working community and believe in a Family nucleus that helps us learn from each other and save money...

Culturally our religion which is Hinduism is science so its in our ethics and genes. Hinduism is highly misrepresented outside india as a polytheistic religion.
For eg. Prayer to Lord Shiva / Mahakaal is concept of space time compkexity.
Karma is universal law of propafation of actions.
Grutva is universal law of gravitation.
Yoga is concept of ultimate existence as union of everything.
Mahamaya is concept of the great illusion.
Brahm and kaal chakra is concept of cyclic contraction and expansion of space-time.
Sanskrit language is only language of the world with no ambiguity and is an action based laguage rather than noun based language.
You jumble the words in a sentence in that language still meaning will remain same. All the alphabets are assigned with an action. Words are formed by joining those action. There are no true nouns in sanskrit.
    There are endless scientific cocepts.

We kind of think in terms of Science, logical thinking is at the core of Sanatan, there are things like advaita, dvaita, vishisht dvaita, sankhya that tries to explain how univers started, and deals with very deep and fundamental question like who am I. In our religion even God and Goddess have question after question. They need to be logical to say why things are the way they are. Highly scientific, logical and intellectual. 1/0 = Infinity, the same concept is there in verdanta called "neti-neti" which means to reduce ourselves to find infinite, you slowly leave everything behind so that you can realize self. And when you leave that as well you get to the source which is infinite. Observe what a yogi does, he gives up things, society, all material and when he/she takes him/her to source then it uses its soul as a platform to see beyond. It is logical, think when take step what are doing, you step on it to move forward. So in order to leave step you have to use it to move forward. Like when we get a job we work and make a step with work experience and things you learn. Same thing goes there as well. There are only 2 things you need to attain anything in the world 1) Work on things you want to achieve 2) Be consistent at it. Its like going to work everyday and 5 years you will see you are at better place. Knowledge wise, position wise, money wise in general.
