I learned to decode locks from watching your videos
My buddy Michael, the master of all combination locks. I had no doubt you were gonna get this one open. Good job my friend.
Hey my friend dam buddy I miss your videos glad your doing well ...🌴😎
Thanks - yeah with an ABUS I'm pretty confident to get it open. Glad, that the lock was in good shape and the wheels easy to turn.
Thanks for the nice comment SUNCOAST PICKER.
Lovely decoding my friend - the expert cracks it easily enough - well done! 😜😜
Haha, thanks my friend.
Fantastic decoding as always! Thanks for sharing Potti and have a great week.
Cheers man and thanks for tuning in.
Great job! Always nice to see a new video from you.
Thank you - I'm happy that you liked it.
Well done 👍 I learned decoding these ABUS locks from your videos quite a while back. Thanks for sharing these Tips and Tricks, it really helped me a lot to understand what's going on in these combination locks 👌👌
Thank you - glad you could replicate the techniques and also enjoy playing with combination locks.
@@Potti314 Hello Potti 👋, while attending a conference, I had the opportunity to further experiment with ABUS locks as a way to keep my hands occupied 😅. During my testing, I noticed something peculiar about these locks, which you also discovered in your video. Specifically, when you decoded the lock and dialed wheel 1 to number 6 (true gate 8) at 2:12, you observed that the wheel felt loose. Later at 2:27, when you dialed 7 (true gate 9), you noticed the wheel felt loose again. After some investigation, I found that this behavior is not a coincidence. The false gates, which are two numbers smaller than the true gate, will always feel almost like a true gate and will also affect the feedback you receive on the other wheels. Therefore, if you have two loose spots, they will always be the higher numbers. I have developed a technique that takes advantage of this vulnerability, and I would be thrilled if you could take a look and let me know your thoughts. You can find my technique in my video number 182. I wish you all the best, Cheers 🍻
Awesome job. Thanks for the explanation.
Thank you.
Soooo good to see you back mate great video and thankyou!
Thanks - that's a really good feeling to get so many nice comment. Appreciate you watching.
Great video!!! 👍
🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾👍👍👍👍🍻
Thanks man - glad you stepped by.
Well done 👍
Thanks.
Nice work.
Thank you.
Nicely explained my friend. 🌴😎
Thanks.
Love this Padlock to decode :)
Yeah, it's a fun one to play with. Gives very good feedback.
fantastic job my friend very nice😎🇬🇧👊😊👍
Thank you Leon.
That's some skill I wanna learn, to know what's inside the package before you opened it.
Haha :-) :-) :-)
Fantastic explanation. My problem is similar but in reverse: I have an abus 155/40 that is open but I don't remember the combination I used the first time and now I am unable to close it. The factory combination 0000 no longer works. Can you help me?
Nice, when I tried to figure this lock out I just went for the gates true or false and brute forced it. Because there are five per dial, that means 5^3=125 possibilities (vs 1000) for a three dial and 5^4=625 (vs 10000) for a 4 dial model. But your technique is clearly better!
I'm here for the fun of it. Brute force methods are far less enjoyable ;-)
Tis Irish Bob saying hello
A very fine and exceptional technique and explanation my son.
Carry on Lad with these informative segments.
Irish Bob😇🤗😎🍀🇮🇪🇨🇵🦾🩺🥂
Thanks buddy - glad you liked it.
Gibt es das Video auch auf deutsch?
Hey @Potti314,
Now I’ve watched a lot of unlocking videos but I’m not able to do this with mine.
Would you be interested to try your skills on my two SKB 1SKB-PDL padlocks?
I’m from Austria and would send them to you.
Kind regards and congrats to your skills.

I think you need to look at methods for resetting the number.
😊
I took a long timevto crack the code.
But with practice you know what to do and it becomes easy or easier.
I found the second gate was easy and always gave the same number.
The third and fourth gave me one number correct and one number wrong
The first I got completely the wrong number.
But the combinations are reduced from 10000 to a handful
For each possibility of 2nd, 3rd or 4th I turned the first wheel and hey presto the lock opened
I am sure with practice it becomes more obvious what to do
I found listening also helped with a definite change of sound when you are on the correct number ( lock held in tension ) plus a definite movement too.
