Kind of an 80/20 deal? Switching from a system that fails 80 percent of the time to system fails 8 percent of the time so I get that... Swapping to 5ers? I guess if the air fails they lock up instead of free rolling.. I do like the 5 ton idea on the sense of 10 lug wheels, 22.5/24.5 bolts right up. With that your 6.72 gears become 6.44s which is a touch faster😎 ya well I wished folks had a bit more stuff related to the REO-331 gasser I like it much better than the MF powered trucks😁But I always liked to standing out in a crowd even if that crowd was a bunch of standouts😂I did find the metal sleeve for the carb and the rubber hose to the air filter which I noticed has already started splitting open😢But I figured thanks to the cold air intake fans one could just build a modern type unit to connect the carb to the air filter now that I have the sleeve😉
me personally just going to baby step it. First get disc brakes ( prefer all the way around), then?? we'll see maybe a trap-door with a boat anchor LOL
I thought about putting disc brakes on the axles 3 pininion flanges to a second master cylinder on the ebrake lever and have a separate backup system, but keep the original in good repair.
Got a quick question On my M35A2. I want Too Swap the rear axle out for an m 105 dooley trailer axle so I Can add extra Parking breaks So I don't have to use chalks anymore. And save the rear-drive Axel for a backup parts. I don't think it will interfere with the drive train of the truck. But it was an idea I've been thinking about. just wanted to know if would good Idea or not?
You'll find that you get stuck on wet pavement or grass really easily if you do. But if you follow what I'm talking about here you can add a maxi brake chamber to the individual master cylinders and have real parking brakes.
Thank You For your help. keep doing what you do It's good to know that there's someone out there. That helping us too keep these trucks alive. I won't bombard you with a lot of questions and again thanks 🙂
friend, I need your help, I bought a ldt motor and it was difficult for me to turn it on. I want to know the exact brands and how to install the pump step by step, it happens that I don't speak English and I don't feel very well, I thank you for the videos
I've got a question for you. I'm trying to find the temperature sensor to make it is tight because when I turn on the power it pegs out at 240 and it always worked fine so something happened over the winter. I took the cover off the valve cover and there is two plugs that are loose there but I don't know what they are and I Can't find it in my manuals.
Are you going to install your buddy's rear disc brake conversion kit on a deuce? I bought them and will be installing them soon. I am looking to convert to hydro-boost with dual circuit.
Well said!!! Keep those gears in your head turning!

Should be right by the thermostat housing. One of those plugs will be for it.

Yes eventually I will be.
