I know it's an old game now, but I'm surprised that the time traveling level from Titanfall 2 didn't make the list - Now that was mindblowing.
Fr, better than that COD level IMO, even World At War had a better level with pretty much the same concept.
They’ve put it on a bunch of lists already and honestly that Starfield one seems like a sort of homage to Titanfall 2 with the time jumping
No because Elden Ring is number 1. The game that never i install to my pc. 🤮
I've had a deja vu moment when Falcon describes the Starfield level " wait a moment, where did I see this before?" Thanks for remind me it was in Titanfall 2, even if I hadn't played it, I saw it here at Gameranx and I thought: "how cool is that?"
That made me feel old
I thought the clockwork mansion level in dishonored 2 was really good, it was really clever
And the mission with Timepiece was also spectacular.
@@bilbobaggins8794 I posted this, it's called A Crack In The Slab.
Just about to comment about those levels!!!
It's not on the list? What the fuck, I though it was going to be number 1.
To me this is one of the best level designs of all time. How is it not even under consideration for top 3?
For me, pretty much any of the set peices in any of the Uncharted games. I honestly couldn't pick just one as each one is unique and awesome. I think the Madagascar car chase in Uncharted 4 is my favorite though, as its just a 10 minute long uninterrupted interactive action scene. Blew my mind when i first played it.
Uncharted is my favorite Sony series
But I’d hesitate to call anything “mind blowing” just highly cinematic and fun
@@jarde1989 you must be a younger man. Let me tell you, they were absolutely mind-blowing when they came out. Uncharted 2's train sequence was revolutionary at the time, and the graphics still hold up. The graphics and animations alone were years ahead of their time. So while they may not be mind blowing by today's standards, at the time they absolutely were.
Those bore the dogshit out of me. If a game is endless set pieces, I'll uninstall it and replay Elden Ring or Dark Souls for the 50th time
Yeah I love the uncharted games uncharted 3 for me still is one of my favourite games of all time I particularly love the plane section where you are on the plane that explodes and need to climb across the cargo crates and netting while the plane is dropping through the sky, send one of the bad guys flying off into the open air when you open a parachute and desperately cling onto a single box that comes lose and you float down into the massive desert below and when you walk across it the camera zooms right out with orchestral music playing in the background - also the cruise ship section where it’s a mad dash to get out before it sinks is incredible with the windows smashing and water cascades inside
@@jarlwhiterun7478 see, I'm the opposite. I find Fromsoft games to be extremely boring and repetitive.
Instead of CoD Vanguard for Number 5 I think an actual moment that blew our minds was BF3 mission when taking off the carrier deck which never happened in games before with that level of detail. The CoD Vanguard mission was done so many times before and even in CoD WW2 which was a few years prior to it with the p-47 escort mission.
I think it's because they preferred to go with newer games. They make so many videos so they have to switch things up a bit.
That BF3 mission genuinely was one of the most insane and incredible missions ever 💯
Ill never forget being blown away by the little droplets of water on the windows of the jet. The way they reacted to the wind during take-off was so sick and immersive. my little 14 year old brain couldn't believe I was playing a game made for xbox 360
I was just about to say that. People forget how mindblowing this mission was, back in the day.
Or they are to young to remeber.
@@NightFury717thats a good point.
Also many videos have a part two or even three
Control with that crazy Ashtray Maze level should be here too
it should have been #1
I thought for sure that was gonna be #1.
Titanfall 2's time relay level is the king of all mind blowing levels, at least amongst the ones I've played
They put that level a lot of times already in previous videos with similar topics. I guess they wanted to cover new ones this time
The way FF7: Rebirth did the Temple of the Ancients was amazing. I loved how eventually, you just forgot if you were still upside down or rightside up 😂
This list could be sooooo long! Dishonored 2's Timepiece and Clockwork levels, finding Blackreach in Skyrim (what is this, the Vault of the Drow!?), Witcher 2 had an even bigger narrative split than Cyberpunk, Control when you get demoted and made part of the rank & file again, that forever-hole thing in Dragon's Dogma 1, the Shadow Shard in City of Heroes, hospital escape in Metal Gear Solid 5, Saints Row 3's level on a "flying" tank, No One Lives Forever's mobile home park level, South Park: Stick of Truth's level where you climb up.... oh, wait, no. That one didn't blow my mind, it blew my stomach.
They put levels like Titanfall 2, Dishonored, Control, etc a lot of times already in previous videos with similar topics. I guess they wanted to cover new ones this time.
Putting the CoD plane mission > BF3 jet mission is a crime against humanity.
forgot about that.. daym
I still wish someone would make a story driven pilot game like that. It would be so good.
@@DeimosPC *Ace Combat crying in the corner looking for your attention*
BF3 campaign was decent in hindsight
Drama queen ❤
Phantom Liberty really breathed new life in Cyberpunk
Id love to play that one day.
Like an aerosol can.
Cyberpunk 2077 I just restarted after having not played since release. It’s so amazing of a game now.
@@LittleByrdEeeperfect time to jump back in. It really is phenomenal now
@@xeofang😂💀
let's not forget the guy who plays the sheriff in Alan wake also plays the protag of quantum break, I KNEW THEY'D B CONNECTED SOMEHOW
battlefield 3 jet mission :) or far cry 3 when you need burn weed
iconic missions, we dont get those any more lol
I don't know if it really counts as a "level", but the opening hour in MGSV, in the hospital, was just magical.
I'd say it count, was the prologue level. I oddly recently replayed that mission like 2 weeks ago, forgot how neat it was.
It was a drag… main reason I don’t replay the game
...it was an on-rails slog. what did you find magical about it?
@@adepressedcatwithabadnicot246 you end up in a horse chase fending off a flaming unicorn with a shotgun, only to get totalled by a psychic whale falling from the sky.
I agree though, It was a slog (worst part of wanting to start MGSV again)
@@atomgrav6861I’m sorry what? 😳😳
Remedy are killing it right now. Not only are Alan Wake and Control beautifully intertwined but they're reclaiming their (technically) non-Remedy IPs in ingenious ways. Jesse Faden's even hinted as being an 'alternate' to Beth Wilder from QB (referred to as 'the red-headed woman') since both characters are played by Courtney Hope
INSIDE's shockwave sequence's definitely one of the best game levels in gaming history.
YES! I love how the music changes once you get past that rotating bit...
yeah I'm a bit confused they picked the most mundane shit for this list from a game that's full of mindblowing levels lmao
@@brotzburke BROOO right? i was scratching my head the whole segment lmao inside is INSANE, that last level playing as the monster, the shockwave part etc and they pick this bullshit? cmon dude HAHA
Summer break has always been fun with videos from Falcon and Gameranx.
I want a new game from PLAYDEAD, Limbo and INSIDE were so good man.
Technically both Cocoon and Somerville are new games from them - at least after the original Playdead dev team went their separate ways.
@@iainjames03 I didn't knew that, thanks man!
Apparently they are working on a third game set in a snowy environment which sounds intriguing Somerville seems to be the most similar in style to inside will have to play through that some point
You forgot the Clockwork Mansion in Dishonored 2
This should have been #1. Hands down one of the wildest, coolest, most unique levels anyone has ever put in a video game. It working as well as it did is an absolute achievement by itself.
Yeah, one of the finest levels in gaming.
they've already mentioned a lot in many of their previous videos
I think the level that blew my mind the most was the Inside of the Rift Worm in Gears of War 2
I love that one! Losing Carmine, chainsawing all the arteries, the ticks, all perfect
👍
"The steed is too scared to be summoned" is the scariest part of the abyss, Torrent was there with you at most of the game, facing all enemies without hesitation. What can scare it, you think, and then you see those grapelike monsters
Entangled from Starfield was an incredible mission, and really showed what the game is capable of in the right hands. I hope the devs can fix the rest of the games issues
The hot air baloon mission in RDR2 was amazing. So awesome to see the whole map that way.
The Konpeki Plaza hiest mission and the following scenes that lead up to the Title Screen in Cyberpunk 2077 blew my mind too.
American Venom from Red Dead Redemption 2 could be an honorable mention. The whole sequence with the music and storming up the mountain to finish off **spoilers** was just incredible. The music sets the tone so perfectly. It blew my mind at least
Listing the rankings in the beginning of the video feels like a flex on the people who feel the need to do a public service and list it themselves and I'm here for it.
People who use overused internet terms like "I'm here for it" have extremely low IQs.
House Beneviento from Resident Evil 8 was unforgettable for me. I wish they would do an entire Resident Evil game like that where it feels more like a pure horror game.
Battlefield 3 Jet mission should be on the list instead of cod... that was truly amazing to experience!
Nice recommendation! Maybe we’ll get around to bringing a part two for this video topic :)
The title should have said RECENT games. All games in the history of games, the whole list is all games from the past year or so.
Yeah, not to mention he gives us absolutely zero spoiler warning for anything.
i was expecting myhouse.wad in first place. ... and 2nd and 3rd and this whole list lol
Womp womp touch some grass
@@danielscotsspoilers? All the games are old as hell..
I love falcon's delivery in every video. Just amazing. He conveys absolutely everything in the very degree of emphasis in each statement he makes. As far as video game commentary goes, falcon, by far is the best. He talks the way I think about games.
The opening level of the OG Prey will always be amazing to me. The jukebox the alien UFO abduction, the body horror on the alien ship. It's amazing
yes amazing game and besides doom 2 no other game has really used the portals quite the same. maby with the exception of portal ... maby
I love Playdead's Inside so much. One of the best games ever made.
Yeah it’s great love the atmosphere and artistic visuals it gives you
@@therunawaykid6523 The atmosphere is insanely good. Up there with Metroid Prime.
When it comes to levels in games that blew me away, Control's Asgard level always comes to my mind
Its the standard "this level in control is awesome" but ashtray maze still blows my mind with its visuals.
@@imALazyPanda true, the level was just amazing, Remedy really makes one of the best single player games
It's definitely one of those levels that just takes everything you've learned in the game then throws it all together in such a satisfying way. Like a release after the tension built up to that point.
what is with that hateful profile pic
I was fully expexting The ashtray maze to be in this video ☹️
For me it’s that first mission in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, it completely blew me away at the time and honestly still holds up today so far as legitimately good stealth games go.
bro pulling that guy off of the lighthouse is a highlight of my childhood
The Titanfall 2 mission with time travelling not being number 1 is criminal
Inside is a weird game yet very fascinating.
Yeah it’s a masterpiece imo so looking forward to playdeads next game
Hey Falcon 🦅🦅🦅
Hey
Hey man
我即将实现 50,000 名订阅者的目标。
Let’s be honest: the Abyssal Woods are number one bc of recency bias. That level is void of anything useful except the one castle and the fact you can’t ride Torrent makes it even worse.
Glad to see Still Wakes the Deep getting a nod. Just finished it yesterday and as long as you are down for the kind of game it is its really worth playing. Had a fantastic time and its the perfect length for what it is.
Please bring back this list again, I feel like there are so many levels in games that would be perfect for this
When he said I've got a bonus for you, it sounded peculiar lol.
I really thought it was some other guy's voice. Like a voice-over. It's possible.
@renamoda5450 it did sound like Jake. People say that Falcon is just Jake with a different voice. We've never seen Falcon, right?
@@bellkins Nah,i don't believe they are the same person. Their voices sound completely different to me. He's just a guy who likes anonymity.
@@bellkins people that don't know what syntax is say that.
@renamoda5450 I have no actual proof, their videos have a different tone to them which would prove that they are different people. But in some of Falcon's videos, they show they named that video game character Jake. Kind of a slip like how when he said I have a bonus for you, it sounded like Jake for a second. I don't want to believe it either because I like both of their videos.
Ppl in the comments clearly aren't subs - TF2, Dishonored, BF3, etc have been mentioned many times. Gameranx like to keep it fresh
5:59 Why does Falcon sing "At least, for most the gaaaame" 😂
Because the AI voice generator glitched.
@@juanpabloflores8179No, that's a voice crack. ever heard of those?
Aside from "that" moment on Inside, this part with the dogs is also another memorable moment for me
Yes “that” moment….
MGS 3 "The End"s boss fight. You gotta use most of the tools in your inventory just to pinpoint that ol' guy.
The Evil Within, definitely had lots of insane turns, but what really got me was your safehouse slowly becomes less and less safe, until it finally becomes a whole creepy twisty level
THAT’s what blew your mind about Inside!?
I mean, i can see you wouldn’t want to spoil it.
Let’s just say my mind was blown later on in the game.
That quest in Phantom Liberty is one that you really need to play through both versions. The difference is an impressive piece of work.
Both the Battle of Midway misssion from COD Vanguard being on this list and the people in the comments saying COD WAW's Black Cat Mission and BF3's Going Hunting Mission really makes me wish we had a new sequel to COD Infinite Warfare, Star Wars Squadrons, and/or Ace Combat series! 😭
The concert battle from the first Alan Wake is my #1.
WAY better then time breaker, fer damn sure.
Stepping into Lyndell Royal Capital was so mind blowing imo 💯😎🙏
The opening level of Defector VR is one of the most insane and entertaining levels I've ever experienced. You start by getting a bond style briefing, infiltrate the targets room then have an interrogation scene, followed by an intense shootout with the side blown off the plane, a hand to hand fight and then drive a sports car out of the plane as it explodes, whilst having a shootout and jump out of the car another plane. Only to end with a gunfight against jet fighters and then skydive to safety. Easily the closest I've ever felt to being James Bond in a game.
I wasn't prepared for Phantom liberty to go from spy action to alien isolation and I was playing at 3am with the lights off😶
Venom will get its own video game
👍
The Milk Man Conspiracy from Psychonauts.
Not sure if this constitutes as a "Level". But ill never forget that moment when the vault in Fallout 3 opened. Going into that game blind and realizing i had the whole Capital Wasteland to explore was a special moment for me.
Close enough and I agree. That feeling of “here we go!” Still sticks with me today
The Covenant in Halo 3. That mission was a spectacle for campaign style games at the time. Crank up the difficulty and the completion feels even sweeter.
Titles video “Levels that Blew Our Mind.” Picks the most normal part of Inside…
You have a good point things get way crazier like when you are smashing your way through that lab area as that blob thing
Entangled in starfield showed me that there was passionate people who worked on that game, and Todd just didn’t give them enough of a voice 😂
Mine has to be the Ashtray Maze in Control. As Jessy sums it up at the end of the level "that was awesome". The music, the vibe, the weirdness, the gameplay, it just works. The whole game was killer, and this level in particular shone.
Flacon at it again with the pronunciation blunders here with “geisha” lol
Thanks Falcon for the cool list! Gameranx videos always cheer me up 😁😁
Glad you like them!
Ashtray maze from Control deserved to be #1 if it isn't in a follow up video I'm never watching another gameranks video. I'm BIG mad.
Another one that blew me away was the opening level of bad company 2 with the introduction of what the device can do when you got off the island
Some of the more memorable moments for me personally in video games were several metal gear moments, a couple mass effect moments, the raft ride in King Kong, a couple bioshock moments, after I escaped the factory in the first oddworld game, stumbling across ash lake area in dark souls was pretty cool and also for some reason a ps1 game called Echo Night was just very memorable for me even though it’s very slow paced but it did one thing well for me and that is atmosphere and for a limited graphics ps1 game I really felt like I was solving the mysteries of an old ghost ship in the middle of an ocean and freeing the spirits of the ship one mystery at a time. Oh also the first time I played red dead revolver before the redemption in a time where western games hadn’t been done very well yet and the ability to quick draw and the whole civil war thing was just amazing to me.
With the way Vemon plays, insomniac would make an awesome Hulk Game
Detroit: Become Human is "impactful choices: the game", everything you do or dont, changes the rest of the game.
I wasn't surprised that we played as Venom in Spiderman 2 but I was shocked by the fact that we killed Kraven. I totally didn't see that coming.
happy to see Still Wakes The Deep getting some praise, it really deserves it
It's funny, with how awesome it was that Phantom Liberty gave you different final missions depending on your choices, this isn't even the first time CDPR did this. They first did it in The Witcher 2 back in 2011. The entire second and third acts of the game are completely different based on which of two characters you side with.
The Venom sequence in Spiderman makes me realize how badly I want the game to come to PC so that someone can make a mod to make him playable in free roam lol
Sam Lake looks like Max Payne on goofy pills.
Should have changed the title to Remedy Brothers.
That venom mission was epic and what makes it so great is I didn't see it coming along side the epic boss fight at the end of it
Fun fact about that part from Inside, after you get the boards off and get inside and push the cabinet over, if you get on top of the cabinet to taunt the dogs for all the crap they gave you, they can still bite you and pull you through the hole.
Quantum Break 2 confirmed. Pour it out for Lance Reddick. 🍺
My absolute favorite is nowhere in Signalis, the lack of a map and the level being geometrically impossible at times really took for a loop at first but it was kinda fun to traverse it and try to avoid enemies
Edit: 10:19 I still think when it comes to on the rail scenes like this the black cats mission from cod world at war did it best, the music was amazing and the build up to every action was intense and you actually had to land and save prisoners but you didn’t have time to save everyone
The bonus mission in Einhänder, older PS1 game. The whole ending of the game was a trip.
i wish Stellar Blade is in PC. I'm dying to play it
for that well rounded gameplay and bubbly personality
It might come to pc at some point just like: ratchet and clank rift apart, marvels Spider-Man, sackboy a big adventure, kena bridge of spirits
Oh inside just an absolute masterpiece I will happily play again and again
Alan Wake 2 The Musical blew my mind away. I literally saved it for that spot alone to keep replaying it
Lol! Thanks for taking the time to watch our video! :)
The real blow mind to me was the end missions of mafia 1. I felt overwhelmed that day
Really enjoyed Still Wakes the Deep! The way the monster moved and sounded was excellent, and god the game looks glorious on a nice PC.
All Ghillied Up from COD 4 modern warfare should be up there
The trick with switching worlds in this Starfield mission is like Titanfall2 - awesome there!
Thanks for watching our video! :D
I feel like the dark level from Hellblade, where you only focus on the sound should make the list. It was really unique
sorry to time travel back in time, but 2 all time most memorable levels in games are
1. Call of Duty 2 (2005) first level during D-Day at Pointe du Hoc, seriously it was as good as Saving Private Ryan
2. Doom 3 (2004) right at begining, you start in a pitch black hallway with a flashlight with a a narrow beam, seriously in a dark room with headphones it's a chair jumper!
Just epic moments in gaming history
That transition at the start was simple yet beautiful! Spiraling down the stairs followed by falcon spiraling into frame. Pretty good
The Abyssal Woods in Elden Ring SoET got a lot of criticism for being rather empty, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was so different from everything else and genuinely creepy and moody. Great boss fight at the manor there too.
Lame stealth section in action game must be a real fan of the Mary Jane section of Spider Man. Way to big of a map for the amount of content also didn't help that incest was the main plot of the game.
The summit, Independence mountain pass in NFS The run! one of the most memorable races in the nfs series!
Phantom Liberty and Shadow of the Erdtree have been unbelievably good. It's been a great past 12 months for DLCs.
When talking about mind-blowing level designs, You've got to give a shout out to Dishonored 2 Clockwork mansion and the time travel mission
no uncharted 2 train level is criminal
I'm on board with you guys picking new games for this, but pretty much every level from Dishonored 2 is better than any of these. You even mentioned it! It's right there!
To comment on the Venom one, we do know from the unfortunate Insomniac leak that there are plans for an actual Venom game, and this mission was the test for it. They were also originally gonna have MJ on her motorcycle as a gameplay segment, but it had to be cut, but you can assume that this would've been a test for their upcoming Wolverine game using a motorcycle.
Alternate title: Spoiling the best missions of these 10 games
They did show a proper warning list.
0:16 😂 clown
I mean...the title says they're gonna talk about levels in a game and gave you the list of games they're gonna spoil. What do you expect? Plus they've always made it easy to skip a section by announcing the game before they talk about it. I haven't played Alan Wake 2 yet and have always been able to skip past those sections in these videos.
@@SportsGamingRosters chill dude
When you become venom it’s crazy and their are some interesting things like how throwing people of the roofs, they don’t get caught, nice video!
The start of Medal of Honor rising sun. Just epic.
I would definitely put ones from „The unfinished Swan“, especially the opening level, in this list
Still need to play that game always sounded such a cool idea for a game
@@therunawaykid6523 do that, really, it is short, but one of the most memorable gaming experiences I ever had!
I was happy to see that cyberpunk mission in there. Depending on your choice you can go from a god walking the city to a roach and it’s terrifying
We can’t wait to see what the team does for the next Cyberpunk title!
Control Ashtray maze was amazing!
Final level of Transformers Fall Of Cybertron brings together all previous main mechanism
Crack In The Slab in Dishonored 2. I never before felt like I did when playing this mission.
