NPR is government funded radio. Its garbage. NPR has 87 employees. 87 employees that vote democrat so that means not one republican. What kind of news do you think you’re getting from a one sided radio station like that? Orange Man Bad! Lmao!
If you are going to take content from Caredge, at least give them a shout out. I always thought you wanted other channels to be successful. This is very disappointing to hear on their channel that you did this.
Stellantis is going to learn the hard way, building WAY overpriced garbage isn't a winning business model.
Who would’ve thought? Well, everyone.
building garbage is all Stellantis does. they are the voltron of trash. Nissan, Fiat, chrysler, etc.
Federal fines for not meeting fuel mileage fleet standard set by the government. Added to the price of the vehicle. There is no way a Jeep Rubicon with the 392 is $98,000.00.
Exactly! The new Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer are hideous and way overpriced; at least the have the new Hurricane I6 but reliability is unknown on that power plant.
All of them are not selling!
As a Chrysler tech, I’m really not surprised that most of this list is stellantis vehicles.

I offered Dodge $28K cash on an Charger they had priced at $33k. They wouldn't budge a cent. That was last August. 8 months later that exact car is still on the lot and marked down to $28k. FOOLS.
Offer them 25k.
Cash is not king at a stealership, You don't get a deal paying cash... They get kick backs from banks etcetc.. finance then pay it off the next week if you want. ** edit- I don't mean to say " every " deal is like this. I get that it's not always the case. But in most cases at least with what I've experienced cash deals go no where.. If you can walk out with a cash deal heck ya! But equally even if they do accept a cash deal I feel you're leaving money on the table, finance it and work it down more then just turn around and pay it off. I guess each deal is unique , gotta figure out where you're at on the playing field.
@@carswithaaronmost people do not understand this and it amuses me
They pay a fee for keeping car on there lot to long
@@carswithaaron All very true, but it also does depend on the sales climate - if you have plenty of inventory and someone walks in and offers you enough cash to make some profit for a car you suspect you will have trouble shifting, and you turn them away just in case you can make some more money/kickbacks off a later sale - then you are a fool. A bird in the hand as the saying goes. If it's a car you know you'll sell a week or two later for closer to sticker on credit with a bunch of bullshit fees and extras added in - then of course, you'd be a fool to sell it to the cash buyer.
$40k for an "economy" car is too hard to swallow. Can't imagine paying 6 figures for anything.
True, but welcome to the new normal in sky high inflation… thanks to Bidenomics.
what the fuck economy cars here in chile (suzuki swift) is like 10 grand brand new
I can imagine paying 100k for a new car. Can't buy one, got to use my imagination .
@@kiryusimp6581 Cheapest cars on the USDM right now take 20K to get into. Kia Rio, Nissan Versa, etc
@@kiryusimp6581 in Poland cheapest new shitboxes are around 16k USD but with average salary it takes like 5 times longer to save up for such car than in US and you can't get a loan or lease that actually makes sense unless you run your own business but then it still doesn't make sense if the car you want to get is over ~35k USD so cars for people in US are still very cheap compared to some european countries. And that's why average car in Poland is almost 18 years old, people just can't afford new cars.
I think one of the main problems with Stelantis products is reliability issues on top of premium pricing.
When I was a kid I worked at a Chrysler dealership…..I asked the Service Advisor why their cars had so many quality problems…he said, no big deal, that’s what the warranty is for. So ship junk and let the dealer fix it.
I’m a hot shot trucker and I have been hauling these wagoneers to auctions left and right. They are blowing so many engines. As of right now the 2 top vehicles that I am hauling to auctions is Jeep Wagoneers for blown engines and Dodge Chargers/Challengers for repos just talking from my personal experience
I saw a "discounted" Challenger at a local dealership...bright orange...poor panel alignment and visible orange peel...not impressed.
That’s weird because I have owned one for 2 years and follow the larger social media platforms and don’t see this often. I am wondering if it’s the new engines. The hemi’s are solid.
Good for you at least

Ford trucks are #1 in sales because of fleet sales added to retail sales. Stelantis has killed the Mopar brand.
the ONLY reason Ford has ever been able to claim "best selling truck" is because they don't combine Chevy and GMC which are the same truck.
True, GM has been the best selling truck forever. Also I'm hoping Italy takes the hint and sells back to US Investors. Jeep and RAM Mopar should be US owned.
They also lump all the F series trucks into one basket to pump up the numbers.
@kendall959 actually no, prior to 2015 there was only three other times when combined GM actually beat Ford, but more recently it's been happening more often.
I don't get it, don't all truck manufacturers report Fleet sales, and also don't all of them want them, have you seen all the truck commercials is everyone wearing hard hats, isn't that who they're also going after as well.
The Volvo logo is based on the alchemy symbol for iron.

@@benchmark3332 Yeah it's really sad too
Love how you are basically quoting CarEdge data but not giving them credit.
I'm confused by the last statement about the Rav4. They say you buy it cause you don't care about cars. But then explains it's a hybrid and has the best fuel economy, lasts a long time and the quality is great. Aren't those the things your looking at when buying a car?
Also the plug in is stupid fast accelerating…
April is a very pretty woman, but it's painfully obvious she has no real knowledge about these car talks. She's more just eye candy but no real substance there.
Hoovie savyBman
That's my main frustration here, she doesn't add much to the conversation.
He ought to rename the channel "Hoovie and a giggly dumb blonde". If he has to put her on she should just pose silently.
That’s not the case at all? Have you seen the other videos they do? She’s far more knowledgeable than the average person, let alone woman when it comes to vehicles.
That fake laugh of hers makes me not trust her at all. Seems like he's on rinse and repeat with bad choices
How about a top-ten list of the most overpaid Stellantis Executives.
I ended my management career in the car business after 25-years in 2021. My last stop was a CDJR dealership as FCA was giving way to Stellantis. The writing was on the wall. While every manufacturer misses the mark occasionally, Stellantis took a nuclear-like destructive direction from the onset, both with product and pricing strategies. RAM and Jeep will eventually get sold off for parts in the not too distant future to whatever manufacturer currently lacks the product to serve that market. Dodge is essentially done. They've neutered the brand and no Mopar aficionado will subscribe to their new direction. Chrysler has been on life support for almost a decade and it's just a question of when they will halt the bleeding and pull it off of life support.
We are buying Jeep Wranglers like CRAZY here in Phoenix AZ
@@DUNEATV love Wranglers and Grand Cherokees. I hope a better group steps up in the not too distant future to save Jeep and RAM from what Stellantis is doing to the rest of the brand lineup.
@@TheLEMRR 👍🏻
I agree someone will buy the Jeep name, maybe Mahindra.
Exactly going fully electric immediately like this will kill Dodge Morpar buyers and fans don't want poorly made Dodge Evs
I think Stellantis intentionally overproduced the 300, Charger, and Challenger so dealers have stock to get them through until the new Charger sedan and coupe are available. It's going to be about a year gap in production
When you sell Junk Vehicles and People know that then it's going to take a long time to sell them to unsuspecting dupes.
Also with the Charger, everyone is dumping them due to skyrocketing insurance costs. They are super easy and popular to steal and insurance companies are jacking rates up like they are doing with certain Kias.
Tell me all about it. As a Kia owner, can confirm the insurance has been going up for years. Shame too, my Soul is reliable, generally cheep on maintenance, is solid enough, and didn't cost a fortune to finance. The Charger is also suffering because even "fleet sales" have gone in other directions to other and better manufacturers. Outside of Ram and Jeep, they are not doing well in the marketplace...
The Rav4 just got the formula right for something that's just a good quality car that isn't embarasing to drive.
My wife loves hers. Awd 200hp+ and gets over 30mpg consistently out of a regular gas engine.
Is a lifted Camry.
Generally, yes. Even the Toyota Corolla Cross has a chance to do well because of it's lower price and that Toyota reliability. Same for Honda, but they are usually higher in price.
I miss straigth six trucks. Those were the farm trucks that lasted 4 decades and much much longer. People can maintain them and keep four stashed for parts. That engine that built the USA and that comes back as a diesel engine in DAF trucks. Where the original design was taken from WW2 USA war trucks and ship engines.
Usa is gone dude. The nazis saw that.
Thanks, admittedly a thought. Interestingly, both my Vehicles are 4 CYL (2007 Canyon, 2015 Journey)..,,,
@@opera93 4 cilinder line engines are great engines. Enough room to work on. Straight six engines are great at pulling trailers. If you only drive around for personal use and roads are decent (no 4x4 required) 4 cilinder engines make alot of sense. But no multi media garbage and turbo’s. Those things will shorten the lifespan of a vehicle by half at least.
The old straight sixes would not break 4x4 drive lines like current 300 hp v8 trucks will. That’s why on back roads and when used for hauling those 1 ton trucks were allmost indestructible.
And I don’t think the USA and Europe will keep their industry on the level people will be able to replace their ride every 4 years or will be able to buy affordable replacements for wiring harnesses or replace turbo’s on the cheap.

I have a 2001 Tahoe that I purchased new when you could buy a car at a reasonable price. It has served me well over the years with only the usual upkeep costs. Considering the prices of new cars, it makes sense for me to continue to drive the Tahoe.
Yeah, I bought brand new Toyota Tundra in 2007 for $34000 and with the prices of new trucks that equipped being around $60000 I will keep my Toyota...
Absolutely, I got a loaded 2001 Ranger that just keeps going so I just keep driving it. Why buy new? Maybe, every six months I got to spend 2 or 3 hundred bucks to fix something. Beats a new truck payment.
your tahoe is absolutely better than the new ones. those gmt800 trucks are incredibly durable
Who the EFFF is spending $41,000 on a small hatchback that its reliability can only be explained by pointing out it was designed by Italians and then revised by Chinese bean counters. That thing’s gonna be worth $8K in four years.
Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming!
I can not believe the Ford Lightning is not on this list. They are lined up at many dealers around me.
Yeah those things are not selling at all. Even back when they were just getting started in production, they still just sat at lots. I talked to a salesman around me, said he had the only 2 for sale within 300 miles, and only ended up selling one taking a $16,000 loss on it. Not the market that want electric cars.
The lighting is selling with large discounts and over sized tow hooks
Well, the problem is when the Ford lightning debut they claim that you can buy the pro model for $40k total bullshit. The guy I talk to you he had an xlt his cost $75,000 now $68k after rebate and if you want the premium it’s over 90 grand that’s a $15,000 more than your average F150! Until these damn dealers stop marking these things up they’re gonna sit!

I've tried to watch a dozen videos this morning and this is the only one I watched till the end. Love your work.
Firstly, Congrats on the engagement. Second, keep up the great work, and don't fret about things too much, it will all work out. Third you guys should look into doing a road trip video to Bowling Green at the end of August with your Vette.
US government policies are forcing manufacturers to make vehicles that buyers don't want and prices they can't even afford. I may never buy a new car again since I prefer larger displacement and rear wheel drive. Currently driving a 14 year old Mercedes W212 that was the pinnacle of MB's efforts.
Nailed it. Jeep has to sell 70% of all Wranglers as the ridiculous 4xe models. But all anyone wants are the V6's.
Yep, though from anecdotal evidence (not necessarily the case country-wide) some of the blame goes on the consumer because so many people especially ones interested in cars at dealerships will get wowed by all the bigger cars with fancy tech, screens and motorized features and often shun more basic, smaller models that are typically more reliable and more financially sound for their budget. Then later they will complain about how cars are getting too expensive, too big and have too much tech. Lol.
Though for sure the number one problem of newer cars being too expensive and that dealers have a hard time selling is the government and their strict requirements to 'save the planet'. They usually screw most things up they get involved in but its definitely gotten worse the last 10 years than before in the automotive industry. They would at least offer a naturally aspirated engine option in most vehicles 10 years ago but half of models don't even have a larger, non-turbo engine option.
What is the law requiring a specific mix of ev versus ice cars?
when we bought our JL 4cyl we couldn’t even find a V6. I guess everyone holds on to those. 😩
@EdDale44135 there isn't one, he's just a right winger.
Common denominator: TOO EXPENSIVE.
not a surprise Stellantis cars dominate this list
If MadTV spoofed automobile manufacturer it would be Stellantis
Tesla does have inventory now, and is the default why when you go to buy one. "Custom Order" isn't the default. So most major metro areas that have multiple showrooms now like me in Twin Cities, there should be at least Model 3 and Ys available locally without a custom order for most/all trim/combos.
Tyler isn't very good at fact checking... The other detail he missed is where he said Tesla doesn't publish sales numbers. It's a publicly traded company, they report total sales each quarter which gets all the stock investors in a frenzy if sales don't meet estimates.
A lot of the stellantis products are thrown off because sensing the UAW strike, A TON of vehicles were produced before the factories shut down to ensure plenty of supply. Not to say sales aren't down, but as far as vehicle supply, it played a big role.
I drove a Grand Wagoneer Series II as a rental car. My god that car hates tall people. The headrest seat setup rivals the QX80 for bad comfort.
I have driven the Mach E, it’s actually a fantastic car, now that you can charge it at a Tesla supercharger it’s significantly more appealing

Took a month for Stellantis corporate to figure out, Have seen video's on the fit& finish, huge uneven gaps in body panels, on one Waggoner the emblem "Grand Waggoner" was even on crooked.
Volvo sales were up 15% 2023 over 2022. They are doing pretty good.
Globally or in the US? Most of their new models are restyled Geely models built in China now, you'd really have to be a bit clueless to buy one - but I would imagine they are doing better in Asia now.
@@Beer_Dad1975no they are not. You’re just making things up lol. Volvo engineers and builds all their cars. In exceptional to one vehicle that’s not even available in the US. EM90. Otherwise Volvo helps Geely builds cars and Geely funds Volvo.
@@Beer_Dad1975so many wrong. Sales in US up more than 15%. It is actually China that brings the total down.
Only as mentioned the ML90 that is a re-badged Geely car. Only to be sold in China.
Talking US, no cars sold there is made in China. Either in Charleston US or in Europe.
@@Spoolingturbski Nothing made up about it, Volvo is now owned and managed by Geely. It's a majority owned Chinese company now. Some design and engineering work is still done in Sweden (bet that won't last much longer as they will want to cost cut by centralizing), and cars that are not based on Geely platforms are manufactured in various other places - but almost all of their electric models are mostly built in China at the Geely mega-factory - with a few exceptions depending on the market they are being built for.
Chinese car manufacturers are buying out recognized brand names so they can use them to sell Chinese cars at European car prices to people who don't know any better. The money goes to the Chinese Oligarch who owns Geely - and he's a high ranking member of the CCP - so if you buy a Volvo, you are supporting the CCP.
@@Spoolingturbski I used to teach English at the factory back in 2011; they're built in Chengdu, China. If they were going to leave China they'd go to SE Asia because labor costs (and Malaysia already has a car manufacturing infrastructure with Ford and Toyota and previously, Proton).
For the first time in history the most popular new car across the planet is electric. Tesla sold more than 1.2 million Model Ys in 2023 to put it ahead of Toyota’s RAV4 which had sales of 1.07 million and Corolla which found 1.01 million buyers.
From Hagerty
Yeah I was thinking the same thing as Tyler was talking about the Rav4.
The Volvo logo is the alchemical symbol for iron, not the male symbol.
Return of the Grand Wagoneer seemed cool at first but all I needed to see was that gasket around the back glass, how thick it is... That let's you know what the design and build philosophy was. And given the many shorts of them being repairs I think I'm correct... Related, I recently purchased a mach-e GTPE to help Ford out!
I said in comments when the Jeep Grand Wagoneer first debuted that they blew it - Terrible pricing and naming structure, no heritage design cues, looks too much like a Grand Cherokee from the front - It seemed like a dud from the very beginning in my eyes - Having a 6 figure Grand Wagoneer priced like a Cadillac Escalade and an identical-looking "non-Grand" Wagoneer version priced like a Chevy Tahoe seemed like a disastrous idea from the start... And if Chrysler/Stellantis simply threw some wood inserts in the exterior door handles or made the "Grand Wagoneer" lettering on the front doors out of wood I think even that may have been a creative and modern way to pay homage to the original instead of just making it look simply like an overpriced Grand Cherokee XL.
You both working together make a good team.
One big thing to consider when buyers know a product is dying so do sales. Lots of people get concerned if they will still be able to get them repaired etc. Not to mention a new replacement is coming always makes selling the old cars tough. That could explain why average people aren't buying chargers or the 300.
Except the Chargers and 300s use pretty universal parts that have been being used for years in a ton of other Chrysler vehicles.
@@drunkhusband6257 I totally agree but it is a pattern you see in sales every time models end
It's hard because of their greed. I just drove through a Hyundai lot the other morning in Augusta Maine to check Santa Cruz pricing...a stealership there has a 32k monroney sticker in a vehicle with a 40k dealer markup sticker slapped on like it's still the middle of COVID. I drove away laughing.

Good Morning! I am glad many of my clients are not consumers of the Chryslers and Fords and German cars....
All those slow sold models have issues preventing sales: design, price, body shape, functionality, low reliability, brand recognition.
Used cars are doing a lot better than new car/truck dealerships. Prices are " OUT OF SIGHT ". Credit borrowing is to high also.

There are decent Compass models in my area for around 32k and that's pretty fully loaded.
I remember seeing the new Dodge Hornet advertised on TV several months back and it immediately reminded of the absolute worst car I have ever purchased in my life. In 1987 I made the mistake of buying a new Dodge Shadow. My brand new Shadow kept breaking down every 45 to 60 miles due to a faulty map sensor. I would be driving along and the engine would just shut down. I brought it back to the dealer several times and even they could not fix it. After several weeks I wound up returning it to the dealer and received full price credit toward the purchase of a beautiful two year old Cadillac with 26,000 miles in mint condition. That was my 1st and last purchase of a Dodge automobile.

What a great channel!
The Chrysler 300 does not give off any impression of luxury anymore. I have seen more of these things driving around poor neighborhoods and parked at cheap, low end liquor stores than anywhere else. These are driven by jerks who want to fool people into thinking they have plenty of money, which they never do. They are also always modded in cheap, ugly ways like blacked out tail lights and fake chrome wheels. I couldn't be happier that Stellantis is getting rid of these heaps of garbage.
What's numbers on the Toyota Sienna hybrid van? There have been none in the dealerships for two years with a 6-12 month waiting list.
I like these interviews and this channel. Well done.
I'd like to agree with April on this one that the list provides good evidence for making it easy to haggle down prices on cars, but when they start between $70-100k, even with a stellar discount of ~10%, they would still be painfully overpriced for the value they provide in return. What an awful time to be in the market for a new car - I feel bad for folks who have to buy right now.
Correct! The manufacturers went hog wild in jacking up the MSRP's +30% PLUS with NO INCENTIVES since COVID??? Compare the price of a 2019 F150 XLT to a 2024 F150 XLT on an "Out the door" cost basis IT IS INSANE. I am so happy driving my excellently maintained 2001 F150 XLT!!
I have been seeing Jeep ads recently for 20% off MSRP. The price gouging is starting to backfire.

Prices too high across the board for 2024 !!!!!!!!!!
Tyler Tesla does have inventory, in fact you can often find the very spec you want brand new in inventory with a discount. Slowing vehicle sales is impacting Tesla just like all the other brands right now so it's actuality a good time to buy if you can handle the interest rates right now.
Where can you get the days in inventory data on Tesla's?

Hey Tyler! We have brick and mortar Tesla dealership here in SW Florida.
Yeah and the best part of going into a Tesla store is the employees don't work on commission so they freely let you test drive vehicles and don't hound you trying to get a sale when you return. They are there to answer questions and direct you to the website if you are interested in a purchase.
I have no clue who these fine folks are but they sure do have good chemistry

The same is true here... People "want" SUV's because that is what they are told they want. There are a LOT of people out there who love and want real cars, but the car makers have decided they make more money with SUV's, thus they are pushing the narrative that the public WANTS Suv's. ... B.S.!

Volvo doesn’t need to be saved. Unit sales are almost double than 10 years ago, and up 25% from last year. XC90/60/40 are ripping. No one wants a C40 for the same reason no one wants a X2. Coupe style compact SUVs are pointless.
The real question is when will the prices come down. I ordered a 2024 Ram 3500 in Feb - they were offering 10% off sticker plug dealer discount.
I got my Charger RT new as a 2020 in early 2021 for 31k. Now the same car stickers for over 42k. I can't believe the charger could be in lowest sales list, The Jeep grand wagoneer at least from the oustside looks totally bland for a top of the line vehicle. Really a waste
Current gas prices are hurting as well, i personally still have my first car since i was 16 in 2016 (2008 chevy trailblazer) i am about to finish college somewhat soon, and i do want to get a sporty/fun car as everyone i have known either have supped up jeeps/ trucks or sporty v6 cars/ v8 muscles. To long i have been drooling over these and want to get a newer manual challenger or mustang that im not going to try and race but just have fun in ya know? But these car prices along with the gas prices.. it might not be in the book for me right now even though im going into cyber security and make somewhat decent money
@@slite3276 I have a 24 Mustang GT, gets better gas mileage than my '16 Tacoma did because that 10 speed makes it run 1400 RPM at 80mph instead of 5k RPM in the taco. Just did a 1000 mile eclipse road trip in a 23 Charger RT and it was pretty much the same. Modern V8s are amazing engines and it is sad to watch them go.
@@porkrind im pretty sure ford is gonna keep making v8 mustangs, and honestly i am somewhat interested to see (if its true) what the v6 twin turbo challenger could do.. but in saying that i have always wanted a v8 engine car. So with the look of things if car prices go down some more then i might end up getting a 2025/2026 ish mustang
@slite3276 I hope they keep producing the 5.0 coyote for a long time. It's an insane engine and so much fun to drive, but the Mustang GT is the last standing muscle car. Even though I've only owned new cars, I'd recommend getting something a couple of years older with a better package than you could afford new. At least until you can afford it new.
Charger RTs were over 40k even in 2020, how in the hell did you get one for 31k?
I want to know where you can get a G-wagon new for $110K
Great video but strongly disagree with picking a g wagon over audi sq8
The problem with Dodge is they refuse to negotiate price, I looked at a ram but ended up with an f150 because the Ford was better equipped and they took cash off to make it 15k cheaper then the Ram. The F150 was a v8 4x4 and the Ram was a 2wd v8
Anyone else here reconsidering their position on human cloning?
The problem with the 2500 as well is that it falls into a different tax classification than the 3500 does. Lots of people daily 1500's, and you can get tax breaks for 3500's because they're considered commercial. But the 2500 which carries almost the same price as a 3500 doesn't have the same tax breaks. So why not just get the big one? That's at least why you never see 2500's where I live.
Why on earth would ANYONE pay $100,000 for a car on the "most unreliable car list?" Well, they won't. But now they won't even lease them, because the price/value equation is upside down. The real problem here is that manufacturers have put sky high prices on their cars, and even with rebates and promotions they become really hard to sell. And a high sales price also means a high lease price.
Dodge Hornet supply used to be in the 500+ range, at least they've improved a tad in that metric, lol
Dodge Hornet is priced high.
88 episodes already!? Feels like you guys started last week.
My wagoneer has been amazing on road light off road and good towing
The issue seems to be overestimated demand. Mach E was hard to find, selling for more than sticker earlier this year. Charger, 300 - last call interest was high, but it did not convert into sales. Overall sales are down across the car marketplace, and no manufacturer seems to have predicted it. Dealers are still trying to transact at sticker price or more.
Yeah it seems over inflated prices and interest rates are scaring off most buyers.
Wild, theres like 7 or 8 X2s in my town
Because FCA/Stellantis (or what ever its called today) operate off pure corporate greed. I've watched a Ram 1500 slowly increase a steady $4,000 grand with the same base model Big Horn (with no added features). Every line item(option) increased hundreds. Its pure insanity when a 23 Big Horn now sits at $60,000. Rebates really suck around this time too. Dealers can only throw in so much dealer discount before they're at a loss. Look how many Jeeps and Gladiators are sitting on lots!!!
