- Hello CZcams I'm back with my second video. It's been so long as I'm balancing school and life. I recently brought my GoPro back to Ohio and used it to shoot this video, I just got a windscreen for it and it just so happens my car broke again so I haven't had much footage to work with. In the last 10 months since my last video my car has been towed three times, and in the shop at least 7 times for a variety of reasons such as the ABS needing to be fully rebuilt (took 4 different visits over two months and had multiple new modules fail from factory.) Had 3 cylinders misfiring, replacing coil packs and all spark plugs along with wiring harnesses. Blown 3 tires. Transmission issues that consisted of conductor plate and a failing TCU tune, now having intermittent trans issues yet again. Everything will be sorted after my 5 month trip to Florence.

Love the 55 and also did you know the chrome button underneath the hazard button makes cd changer pops out. Lol I just figured it out not to long ago

I have the 550 and it moves . I so wish I could have found a 55 or a 63
@Silver Hogg Just bought one too! years of 7 series BMW's finally crossed over 🙌 every CLS550 I found had high mileage and wasn't taken care of
The 550 is .1 second slower 0-60 then the e55 from IRL tests and this cls is only .2 seconds faster then the e 550 not even worth it in my opinion

I love mine! I have blown 7 tires within the last 12months! I ordered 2 new rims for the back. The rims are known to crack after so many yrs. Which leads to tires being blown
I also have done 7 tires but in 2 years.
I can barely read/write ….. but my inner wheel whore feels like pretty much ANY self respecting Mercedes owner should never use the word “rim”

Funny I saw this video I raced my boss about two days ago (he owns a c8) I lost ofc but I was ahead for about 3 seconds for a stock 55 amg it did pretty good
One day I dream to own CLS
But for now I know nothing of them
Is it common to have slight blue smoke on start up??

Dude the 55 are renowned for braking down, I got the CLS500 and reliable as mate

which bluetooth receiver/adapter do you have? i just got a cls55 amg. also have you ever had any problems with your fuel sender? there’s gotta be a better aftermarket one somewhere right haha im not about to pay mbusa to replace it with the same defective part
I don’t use bluetooth. No fuel sender issues.

I have an E55 and the worse part is that the transmission doesn't listen to you. it does what it wants when it wants no matter if you hit the upshift! I love everything else about the car tho
The 722.6 is a terrible transmission and very slow. They updated it to a seven speed in the E 63 later on which was way better. Even with the TCU tune shifts are very harsh and slow. I’ve gone through a few conductor plates as well it’s terrible.
@@affiliatedamg yea i agree, it is pretty slow but the fact that you’ve gone through a “few conductor plates” really worries me bc i’ve already done my first one when i got the car just for safety and peace of mind…. i hope i don’t have to replace it ever again 😭
@@affiliatedamg update…. i feel like i jinxed myself on this one 😂! the car recently started giving me super harsh and jerky shifts from 1-2 while driving around town, and even harsh downshifts rarely. my guess is that i’ll have to replace the shift solenoids, and reservice again with new fluid and filter. have you had any experiences with bad shifting ? do you have any other ideas ?
@@rulz5513 haven’t heard that as a main issue. I’m gonna need another conductor plate and possibly trans as it’s stuck in limp. Not sure about harsh shifts 1-2, you would think it would be through all the gears.
@@affiliatedamg omg!! wouldn’t you think there’s a deeper problem with ur transmission since ur replacing conductor plates like socks 😭😭
i want to do a trans tune as well in the future after i HOPEFULLY fix the shifting and jerking. i read forums where people get to the conclusion of replacing the whole transmission and hopefully i won’t have to go through all of that.
also going back to what u said, you’d think it would be through all the gears, but bc it’s not, that leads me to believe the shift solenoids from 1-2 is bad! and hopefully that’s the case, and i might as well replace all 3 of them while i’m under the car!

agree with that lost mine couple months ago needed new trans axels and motor mounts looking @ about $10-15k and already had put 10k+ into it just fixing...shit sucks
@@TheMenzyy ah bro I feel you. I’m at about 228k miles, but the guy I bought it from had it since 63k and kept really good maintenance records, and also threw in so parts he hadn’t used yet just in case (motor mounts, pulleys, etc). Once you hit that 100-150k range that’s when stuff breaks. I’m well passed that so mostly everything has been replaced already
@@AlmightyBeezy have you replaced the oring on the oil pump and/or the oring that's on the coolant passage inside the timing cover?
@@random-amg that was replaced by the previous owner as well. He did a good job maintaining the car once it was above 150k miles
