- It is early morning and we are preparing a tram for its service on line 9. Before taking the tram to the starting point De Dreef, we perform checks in and outside of the vehicle to ensure smooth operations. Please note that we always perform checks in both cabins, but in this case I filmed only the procedure for the 'A-cabin'.
Tram line: 9 (shunting operation)
Route: Remise Zichtenburg - Vrederust (De Dreef)
Location: The Hague / Den Haag, Netherlands
Operator: HTM Personenvervoer N.V.
Vehicle: Siemens Avenio (5034)
Camera: DJI Osmo Action 4 - Věda a technologie
I put this on and told my wife I was playing train simulator and she was blown away by the graphics.
💀
N Türkiye'de İstanbul'da var böyle tramvay
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro got the costliest Tram Simulator gaming setup
Nice video. The resumption of the necessary checks before departure is interesting.
Interesting glimpse into the behind-the-scenes preparation of the tram for line service. It's cool to see the meticulous checks and procedures involved before it hits the tracks.
Dit zijn nu van die dingen wat je je altijd afvraagt hoe het gaat. Thanks voor de video
The tram driver job is so interesting!! With this videos, I found out how much work a tram driver does!
trambestuurder it is
I’m having my interview at HTM next week 😍 who knows we might become colleagues
That's so cool! Good luck and let's hope to see each other soon 😃
Greetings from Southern California. I love watching your videos and I can't wait to explore the Netherlands on day by riding around in trains. Thank you for sharing and please continue to post more videos of The Hague. 😎👍🇳🇱❤
awesome deadheading
Pretty much the same way we prepare a subway train for service here in NYC
Epic video!
love this job. good luck
Actions along the lines of the 'pre-flight check' carried out by pilots before each and every flight.
at the start it looks like some game that you would play at 3 am
COOL!
Taking the tram in the Netherlands completely spoiled me. I just want to go back. Someone adopt me?
sure, if you clean your own shit and dont scream at night. then ill give it a go
Ouah la classe superbe beau le véhicule
Very nice, like!!!
💕
So you’re actually able to control the switches from the tram?
Trams are pretty much like busses, but with a whole network of tracks to follow.
does tram drivers choose the tram to drive or its assigned ?
It is assigned to us.
hello from korea 안녕하세요! nice view
Leuk om ook eens te zien. 👌
Kastje linksvoor is ADAS, remhulpsysteem.
@@gwnlars_8306What does ADAS do and how does it work?
@@human962 Exactly the same as an emergency brake system on any modern car. Just better configured for a vehicle weighing quadruple as much :-)
@@gwnlars_8306 Thanks!
@@human962 ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance System. Most modern cars are equipped with this system aswell
Very nice video!
I notice this tram does not have a traction/braking controller in form of a stick or lever like most other modern trams. Are these trams fully automated or do you use pedals to apply traction and brake?
In Den Haag we have foot pedals similar to a car. Deadman as a clutch and braking and power. When these trams were ordered HTM did a survey amongst the drivers if they wanted a normal drive/brake stick or foot padals. HTM is the only transit organization with pedals in their tram fleet (exept for the Alstom Regio Citadis) The new TINA tram from Stadlr will have padels too.
Not fully correct@@mio3385 . Antwerp also uses the pedal system on certain types of trams, such as the PCC.
@@caspervisseryt true im sorry i ment to say the only one in Holland
@@mio3385 Until 2021, GVB Amsterdam had the 11G and 12G trams, which were also pedal operated (as they were derived from the The Hague's GTL8 trams). With their demise, the HTM is indeed the only Dutch operator with pedal operated trams.
What's the yellow button you press frequently with your left thumb?
The gong.
Its the bell and left from it is the horn
I would love to do this job daily
HTM is looking for tram drivers. You might give it a try if you live close to here! :)
@@Trammeneersadly im no where near the comp[any lol
I’m not a local and probably don’t understand customs but that last lady seemed pretty brazen to cross right in front of a moving tram!
you ran a red light, you ran another red light. lol
Not if you know that we have different traffic lights than regular traffic 😉
I drive trams with traditional hand operated TBC. How do the foot pedals work and where is the deadmans.
There are three pedals: one deadmans, then one for braking and another for accelerating.
@@Trammeneer Thank you
So much room in them too
Super nice Video!
Hi im a tourist n i just lost my most important bag in tram 17 at bietunhof yesterday at 5 pm, do you have any idea to find my bag with your connections with accross drivers ? Since that bag contain my id passport visa for my next destination, pls share if uhave contact
I am sorry to hear this. Unfortunately I cannot do anything for you. You can call HTM (phone number is on their website), they have a lost & found where they might keep your bag. Best of luck!
this would have been better in the fall
It's never too late for another video
Now I want to know what all the controls do. Lol.
I'm baffled by this video (Is it in real life or in a game?)
Real life
what city is this tram ??
Den haag (the hague)
🇹🇷🇵🇹🇩🇪🇩🇪😊
Having known many bus drivers over many years I can tell you nobody is this anal about checking things. The procedure 99% of the drivers on this system use is to put the key in to open the door, put the key in the dash to turn the tram on (get heating going) and go have a coffee in the drivers room for 10 minutes. Then hop in the tram and go. If anything isn't working they find it on the road and if it's something so serious they need a replacement tram then they get to charge over time.
With all due respect, what you describe is not very professional in my opinion. Failures lead to enormous delays and problems in the network, so we perform checks to keep them to a minimum. It takes only a few minutes, so we still have plenty of time for a coffee :)
I suppose it depends on the quality of the driver. I used to know a bus driver, who was very attentive. After all, once he was driving a double decker he was responsible for the lives of a lot of people.
Nice to see that my tram drivers are as careful as they are.
