- In this video we will explore the old depot at the Lijsterbesstraat in The Hague! Opened in 1906, this is one of the oldest HTM depots. These days it is still in service to store and maintain the BN GTL8 fleet (the oldest tram type of HTM) as well as some special trams. Tram lines 1, 6, and 12 are operated from this depot. Let's take a look inside!

Deze trams zijn dus waar ik aan denk als ik het woord tram hoor. Ik kan me nog zo goed herinneren dat ik vroeger tram 1 pakte naar Scheveningen noord met me ouders. Goede herinneringen.
Always funny to see how Melbourne (Australian) trams seemingly took inspiration from European tram designs. For example the articulation sections and driving consoles.

Great video. Thanks for the tour. Quick question: are the GTL trams narrower than the other trams in the fleet? They certainly appear to be in videos I’ve seen, but it could be an optical illusion.
It's true! The GTLs are only 2.35m wide while the Avenio is 2.55m. In fact, some lines had to be modified in recent years extensively in order to accommodate the new trams.

😅ik heb nog uit eten geweest in een oude pekeltram van de HTM in het plaatsje Elsoo restaurant de olde tramhalte.😅wel wat jaren terug,maar de tram is opgehaald met wat er nog van over was,ver veroest door die pekel.😅

Ik ben nog nooit in Nederland of Den Haag geweest, maar ik kijk al heel lang naar video ' s over de Haagse tram en ik weet dat er een speciale GTL restauranttram in het zwart is. Er waren ook GTL-modellen met twee stroomafnemers. Aanvraag: Maak een video van het interieur van de GTL werkende tram op verschillende tijdstippen van de dag (middag en avond).
