The VFX in this movie are incredible. They look so realistic.

If you're talking about 1954 or Heisei then sure. I wouldn't call Son of Godzilla or Godzilla vs Megalon the best.
@@chibiz101 wrong the cgi for ghidorah and rhodan looked terrible. Gareth clearly went for a monre realistic tone so it payed off
@@prathapkutty7407 I have to agree, they should have kept weta digital for the cgi. I also think the weather did not help the battle scenes at all lol. I could barely tell what was happening half the time

I always thought they just animated the tail and then put the rest of Gojira in when the smoke cleared but I'm glad they took the time to animate it completely

KOTM's VFX work really does kinda fall apart when compared to G2014's. This is just fantastic.
And its the same team from this movie that worked on Kotm, half the shots of Kotm looks awesome but others still needed work. Just begs the question of what went wrong
@@Burrvev247 my guess is they just got lazy because they had to animated multiple titans, I just wish that movie was delayed so they could actually put more effort into it.
@@rjsblanket3024 If only they delayed it for a couple more months that would've been a good time to fix up the CGI. But I think the budget went into the wrong things I supposed or I don't know

How is it that the cgi in kotm can’t compare to the cgi of Godzilla 2014? The cgi here legit looks better here than in the overly dark blue and red cgi in kotm

Brace Yourself, another Godzilla movie expected to be out 2019. They just wrapped up but now they need to animate the movie with Movie Movie Magic. Aka, VFX, Light and CGI (aka Fancy animation).
It takes a while, maybe even months. Also hello 1 year old comment, I’ll be leaving now.
Extremely difficult to do and takes a lot of skill and creativity. You have to know what kind of lighting to use in the setting, details of environment around and a ton of other things that I am not capable of knowing about. However, for movies like this they probably have about 100+ people working on all the visual and special effects and CGI, allowing them to make a movie like this in about a year and a half

Never had the time to appreciate the Godzilla design, the movie was too fucking dark for me to see the detail well.
True that it was dark, but I personally saw it just fine.
Unfortunately it's the DVD and Blu Ray that are overly dark. The Theatrical release was fine. However, whoever was in charge of the disc copy transfer f*cked up.

No I mean like, theatrical version you can still see. DVD and Blu Ray? Not so much. Like if you compare the theatrical look to the final render on the Blu Ray (by watching another clip on CZcams), you'll see a huuuuuge difference.
For instance, here's a press release image of the atomic breath charge up image a few weeks after release in theatres. This represents the quality of the theatrical look of the movie.

Big difference. It's desaturated, darkened, and much harder to see.
It can be fixed if you have a video editing software, as I've done, but most people don't wanna go through the trouble. :P
@@TVJUNK85 the theatrical version of the movie is what it was supposed to look like. This whole vfx reel represents the color grading and how it looked In the theater. The atomic breath is much brighter and blue like when i watched it in the cinema. But again yeah they messed up the transfers. However, I have the bluray and with my TV it looks as good and bright as the one in the theater
