the main problem that I saw was that in the final product of the 100 hr one is that Godzilla's arms were too splayed out, but other then that, it was amazing.
And certainly nothing I could do

The one thing that feels off about it is that it’s lacking proper weight and scale
Like, the creatures are massive but they’re moving too fast proportionally to their size
Godzilla in the actual monsterverse is also unrealistically fast

They’re spectacles visually, but I don’t like the way Godzilla’s animated in those movies either
Like I can’t suspend my disbelief when there’s so much dissonance between visual quality and animation quality
That’s not to say the animation isn’t good, but it’s not in the same style as the other visuals

this video really puts it into perspective at how unbelievably long it takes to make a good animation thats more than 10 seconds, in 100 hours he was only able to make a 20-30 second animation (a really good animation) so i guess my message to yall is to appreciate your animations even if its just 2 minutes long

Very great model you made by yourself of shimo before real film.You actually scale it almost like in real .But shimo would be better if standing on 4 legs not only 2❤
While I do agree with you, it has been proven that shimo can stand up on 2 legs, and often chooses to, she just never really had a chance to. Tho she did at one point in the final battle

a tip: everything is good but you could have not left the project early, you could have used those hours to animate godzilla's arms bending so it look a little accurate like the movie.
I wish i animate like you. This is my dream to animate better!

I do have a few questions, however: How did you use Rigify to rig Shimo? I’ve been trying to figure it out for a few months now, and it never seems to work. Also, how did you get rid of the black texture on the planes with the smoke? I’m trying to do the same thing, but with image textures on hairs.
As a Viewer, this was an Awesome video ! As a 3D creator, i'd advice to maybe add some detail to the floor in the beginning, some noise texture should do the trick

11:23, the way he stood up so fast kind of ruined it, IT would look way realistic if he did it slowly but all the effects look perfectly great, keep it up!
I believe that with the time left u had u could of maked the stegomizer tail and more taller and sharper dorsals and the spiky beard that he has and just a litle more movement on the eyes and hands thats it but its actually pretty good❤

the only real complaint i have is how small godzilals Atomic breath was it shoudve been a more cylinder type shape instead of bolts of lightning

if you really want to sell their weight, make them move *slow*
look at Pacific Rim, you can feel the weight of the Jaegers cause of how slow they move

Why you don't do compositing ? you can save a lot of time like putting the sparks, smokes even the beam. Maybe you know everything i just said and you want to show you can do all of this just in blender idw. But good vids like always !
And i think if you do the same videos on anime stuff, your views will blow up !
Compositing is something I haven't focused on so far. But quite a few people mentioned it at this point so I'll probably get into it more soon. :)
2:52 How did u do the stretch thingy from godzilla's mouth to shimo's mouth?
I put a single vertex into Godzilla's mouth and extruded another one over to shimo with surface snapping enabled. :)

I didn't use the ROE Godzilla due to the app crashing
The end where Godzilla was freezed and his eyes were turning pink

This is something i could never do but godzillas breathe is way thicker and shimu is not stronger then godzilla to be fair. Otherwise this is amazing
