  • Our video is a guided walk in the Yorkshire Dales. Starting from Settle we follow the Ribble Way until we cross a weir then head through the open countryside to Catrigg Force. We continue to Stainforth Force then return to Settle following the River Ribble on the Ribble Way. Would make a good family walk.
This is an easy to moderate walk on grassy and gravel paths and tracks, there is also some minor road and major road using the pavement. There is a steep incline and decline at Catrigg Force.
Elevation: approx lowest point 145m(475.7ft) approx highest point 331.8m (1088.6ft) approx total ascent 269.5m (884.2ft).
Approx 7.2 miles allow 3½ hours using OS Explorer Map OL2, Yorkshire Dales Southern & western areas.
Start point: Whitefriars car park on the B6480 next to the petrol station near the railway bridge.
For more info and facilities please see our website.

I love this man’s commentaries. No irritating music and he points out things to look for.

Thank you Carol. As you know we film our videos live so only have a split second to make up my mind before they fly off. We often get things wrong but we smile about it afterwards. As soon as the bluebells are out we have two or three more walks planned to film in the Yorkshire Dales and will have them on the site as soon as we can. All the best The Taxi Driver
