  • I'm exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park where I visit Scaleber Force Waterfall and go for an atmospheric walk around Malham Tarn. In my previous video I visited Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss which were also so impressive, but there was something tranquil and wonderful about this walk today with all the cloud and rain.

    That is so cool! Steps built into a stone fence! ... and 3% chance of rain! Wow! ... "Walking through rain and mist." -- I like that!

    A wonderful waterfall, a swarm of swallows. Reclining cows but for the lone watchcow. Marvelous carvings and such a clever spider. Leave it to Mary to brighten my day even in 3% of a deluge. Thanks Tink!

    😁 A Lovley walk Mary and Derek 👍 It has been a few years since I last visited the Dale's. Settle is a really nice place to call in for a coffee and cake opposite the market square. The viaduct on route to hawes, hardraw falls, and Reeth etc etc Cracking video with brief history snippets. As for the weather, atmospheric and less people on the trails.. Love the spider and the perfect Web.. 😁

    Oh what beauty. Loved it all, the gorgeous waterfall, the swallows, spiders, sculptures ❤️, the chill livestock and the always amazing music accompanying your videos.
    Personally I think the weather adds a tinge of mystery and enchantment to it all.

    Loved the video. Hey, I like mist and rain, although it probably would have been more pleasant for you all to have sunshine. Beautiful country. Look forward to your 'good mornings' on Sundays. Thank you for another great video. Blessings

    If you're going to the Ribblehead viaduct it is the starting point for Whernside hill which along with Ingleborough and Pen-y- Ghent make up the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Which are relatively easy hikes and almost compulsory for a keen hiker.

    Mary: Has this been an unusually wet/cold summer in the UK? Or is it normal? Seems like you've been encountering a lot of mist/rain recently...

    Hi Mary, where can we park close to the waterfall?

    • @MarysOutdoorAdventures
      @MarysOutdoorAdventures  Před 2 lety +1

      I walked up from Settle which was nice, I wouldn't recommend the road though as it's very steep and quite tight in places, so go south of it via the Pennine Bridleway. High Hill Lane is the road you need to be on if driving and there are a few pull in places on the roadside right nearby to park if you didn't fancy the walk.
