- We visit the beautiful Malham Cove in North Yorkshire for a day out in our DIY campervan. Along the way, we took in the mighty Gordale Scar and magical Janet's Foss. Will forgotten glasses and chapped lips ruin our day?
Absolutely love your videos watched them all with our 16 yr old Jack russell in the middle of us. First time we have been able to comment due to prehistoric tech!
So pleased to see Pabs is doing well, we love him.
We always crack up at your funny comments but this video was sooo funny with the lippy!

Im just approaching 79 now and the memory of visiting Malham Tarn and seeing the brilliant colours of a king fisher still sticks in my mind today this was as a child on a day trip from junior school in hunslet leeds. Funny how some things become fixed in ones memory.

Well I left Leeds in 1968 for Canterbury after Leeds city council decided they wanted the property and he cut a deal with them give me a council house and I'll accept your offer when he passed away left nothing so the offer for a detached property in substantial gardens can't have been much.

On your Yorkshire Tour, have you been to Hull on Le Hole ? Great historical village to walk around, also towards Filey there's a little stained glass workshop that do the BEST scones and cream (then jam on top)

It’s many years since we went to Mallam Cove we went the reverse route and scrambled up the gorge with a trickle of water (obviously summer and dry) would love to go back again probably stay somewhere nearby with our caravan. P.S I don’t bother with lipsil either I’d sooner put up with the pain 😂

Hi Nina, a beautiful walk, we definitely recommend 👍
Love Malham. Yo should also try out Grassington and especially Kettlewell nearby! The river Wharf runs through and in summer it’s a wonderful paddle! Fountain Abbey is on the wharf also a great stop. In fact, if you were to do a couple of days road trip, starting at fountains Abbey, Grassington, Kettlewell then over the hill to Hawes is a narrow but glorious route then out by Bedale (James Harriet) country. Then down by Ripon and Studdly Hall and there Deer park. Some wonderful pubs on route too!! We lived in Wetherby so we either went coast or inland, this was an awesome inland route on a good day or a wet! Keep up the good work. Snowing in Lethbridge, Alberta where we live now. We DO miss Yorkshire though… Holmfirth and surrounding area was a good day out. Stay safe. 👍🚐💨💨

You did miss one of the best bits the climb over waterfall at Goredale up the steps to the view from the top of Goredale it is truly fantastic. I think k you can fly from Goredale Scar too.

Having been in the Antarctic, I can assure you lipsil does the business. Not just on your lips but your whole face when needed 🤣 The trick is not to lick your lips once its on. That will defo dry them out

You should have gone to Janet's Fosse first. The walk from there is more gradual that the steps up the side of the Cove.

I live 6 miles from Malham Cove. You showed it off quite well, but boy can it get busy in the summer months. Never did find the two things you did not like. maybe the walking and the pub price? Not sure where you found the fuel station though. Certainly not within 15 miles of Malham.

Well spotted the fuel station was closer to home in Barnsley!!
Next time you are in the area, stay at the Knights Stainforth Caravan and camping site, just outside Settle. There are two good waterfalls in the area and the food in the cafe/restaurant is good and reasonably priced@@Stchristopherofatlantis
