Catrigg Force and Stainforth Force walk from Stainforth (Full Walk)

Walk Summary
This circular walk to Catrigg Force (waterfall) and Stainforth Force (waterfall) from Stainforth, a village in the Yorkshire dales takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.
The walk climbs out of Stainforth to visit the fairytale-esque waterfall of Catrigg Force, set in a wooded gorge. The height gained affords wonderful panoramic views of Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough.
Walled lanes take us on to a pleasant riverside walk before arriving at the impressive Stainforth Force waterfall, before heading over the 17th century packhorse bridge back into Stainforth.

I've always loved waterfalls. I'm 77 now and it's been a while since I've spent time in the Dales searching for waterfalls to walk to. Must be the early 80s last time I visited these two.

I'm in the same camp - always had a love for water and waterfalls. Did you remember them as they are or has much changed? I think it was the mid 90s when I was first there and apart from some path improvements, I haven't really noticed too much changing over the years. Hoping to get Ingleton waterfalls and the ones over at Aysgarth filmed in the Autumn...

Another stunning video and scenery to match. We are becoming real fans. We are in the Dales this weekend so are planning to do this and your Norber Erratics walk. We are keen photographers so wanting to get some photos of the stepping stones, waterfall and the bridge at Stanforth. We spent a lot of time in the Yorkshire Dales but have never tried this walk.
