I remember being at the Boston Marathon bombing, and seeing hundreds of angels rush in to help total strangers, with zero fear of what could possibly happen next. Saving so many lives in the process. To this day, I live to emulate their example, and sacrifice! 😇💙💛
I remember seeing those people being those Angels when more videos of that were finally released. Giving up shirts, belts, purse straps to be used as tourniquets. Holding someone's hand while waiting to ambulances to arrive.

@Sedated Ape Absolutely. So many ran away, while many more ran to help. Thank God there are people like them in this world! The things I witnessed/experienced, I'd never wish on anyone but, knowing that there is a stronger need to help, than there is to destroy, is what restores my faith in humanity! 😇
@@robertg7396 Absolutely! We just recently seen the work of Walking Angels in the news. A total stranger that sees a baby stroller heading into traffic and he rushes to stop it saving the child, and the 14 year old that stops his school bus after the driver passes out then instructs someone to call 911. They are here. And there is still goodness in the world...as hard as it might be to see it sometimes.
@Sedated Ape I saw those too. Unbelievable that even child, who you'd think would be more subject to panic, steps up and does what needs to be done. What's sad is, nowadays more people would rather stand there with their phones recording it, than stepping in and helping.
My mother was such an Angel. She died around this time, three weeks ago, in a car crash. She lived her entire life, helping people.

@@bunnyheywood , Thank you! I just took her ashes up to Bluefield WV to be buried alongside her parents two days ago and I sang this song in remembrance of her. She loved to sing and had a professional quality voice when she was younger. I inherited that from her. I never liked to sing seriously but she would always try to talk me into it. I wish I had sang for her more often.
I am so sorry…she sounds wonderful. May your memories of her never fade. You will be together again.
I had just lost my great uncle, the last close relative I had, and was feeling lower than lower. I went to get cat food, basically going thru the motions of life... When this older man put his hand on my arm and handed me a little cross and he asked if I knew that I was loved? I just stood there stunned with tears in my eyes. I tried to find this elderly man to thank him but he was gone. There are angels among.

An older gentleman asked me to help him at publix the other day. Of course i helped him find his groceries. He told me his wife was disabled and sent him to the store so she could attempt to make his favorite cake. The love in his eyes told a story. Bless that gentleman and his wife. He was so sweet and so humble asking for help. I hope to be just like him.

My Papaw passed 3 weeks before I left for boot camp.. I was on a 12mile ruck march and I was hurting about 7miles in. I felt a hand on my shoulder, turned expecting to see a soldier behind me, I saw my PaPaw, with the biggest smile on his face! I'll never forget that day! ❤️❤️❤️

I sang this song at an end of the year assembly when I was in 6th Grade in honor of a friend who died in a tragic car accident. There was not a dry eye in the crowd. This song means so much to me, and every time, I start to cry and think of my friend. Their truly are angels among us all. Thank you so much for reviewing this incredible song!
9-11 happened on a Tuesday. Four days later I finally decided to give myself a break from the news and I turned on my favorite country station and this is the first song I heard. I still cry when I hear it. And as I sit here now listening to updates about our latest shooting this song is still very relevant.
The song is so beautiful, but watching the video and seeing the captions about all these angels really makes you realize what the song is about. It’s not some floating, magical angel, it’s the people that could be right there around us every single day. ❤
My aunt was running one morning, and saw an elderly man in her neighborhood head down on his front porch. She’s a nurse and rolled him over and gave him CPR and saved his life. This was when I was 7…I’m now 41. He didn’t only thank my aunt, he became a “bonus” grandpa to her kids and an angel in his own right. He spoiled all of them rotten and showered them with gifts to show his gratefulness until he passed away two years ago. After he passed, he left 100K for each of my cousins for their college careers in his will. It was such a surprise and it still makes me cry every time I think about it. My aunt is a nurse, she did what anybody would do, and he thought she was his angel, but in return, he was an angel for her and my cousins as well. Crying just typing this out. ❤❤❤
My husband surprised me with tickets to the last Alabama concert in the quad cities here in Iowa. My daughter would have killed for tickets to that concert. Her only request was to call her if they sang this song. When they started singing it I called her and we sat there listening and crying because we both loved this song. I'm now well into my 60s and I am sitting here crying again. Thanks kids for this song.

We took our mom to see Alabama in December 1998. I love all Alabama songs but this song in particular reminds me of that concert because my mom got sick and passed away the following March. She’s now our angel watching over us! God bless you both and thank you for reacting to this song!

Myrtle Beach at the Bowery. It’s hard to believe that we got to experience it.

I use to be a firefighter and EMT and this song is special to me because I helped people in their worst of times! I admit I lost people but if I saved 1 it was worth the trauma I went through!

I saw thaes guys three times in concert! My dad was a Baptist Minister. I can't even begin to tell you how many angels we encountered. At every church there were people who didn't want to let us love them, and almost all of them became some of our best friends. Be that angel that people need so much. God will bless you for it. You both are right there’s so many angels around us! I worked in hospice for many years. I never stop hearing “ You are a true Angel to be able to do this kind of work”. I always thanks them, but down deep inside I knew it was my calling.
The best thing about my job was that most of all my patients never knew THEY WERE MY ANGELS! Many were people that I would have probably met in my daily life. And, hope to see them again one day! I was and will always be truly blessed!!!

This song was played at my Mom's funeral. Which could not have been more appropriate. Her favorite band was Alabama, she collected angel figurines, and she was on her way to joining the angels.

This song is special to me. It was one of my dad's favorites & when he passed away in 2017, I had it played at his funeral. He would do whatever he could to help others. He was an angel here on Earth & now he's one in Heaven. ❤️🙏

I'm 73 and every time I hear this song makes my eyes water. Randy started as guitar player for a gospel group. He grew up singing church hymns and the group did a album of Hymns. He also appeared on The Gaither Family Reunion shows.

This song was released during the Christmas season, 1993, and it says more about the spirit of the season than most holiday songs. It reminds me to have faith in humanity. And to do better.
Sometimes when we see some of the things going on in the world today,it’s easy to forget about the many, many angels among us. The don’t get in the news everyday but this song reminds us of the amazing people out there.

Probably not. They first started in 1969, and that was when music was still pretty regional. Country really didn't leave the south and south eastern US for a while since there wasn't internet til the 90's which I think is about when this one came out, but our mainstream was embracing more of the grunge rock and pop diva, so if you were overseas, the headlines you'd probably see would be of like New Kids on the Block, Nirvana or Janet Jackson.
I play this song every night when I go to bed. I have always had every song Alabama has ever done, but this one touches my heart so deeply. It reminds me and all of us to be kind to one another, be a shoulder for someone to lean on when they are struggling, help someone in need, if possible step up and stop evil/violence when you see, if someone is hurt-give aide, feed the hungry, so many different ways to help someone, but many many people just need a smile from a stranger to make them feel like they are noticed, cared about. Thank you for playing this song and hopefully more people will see the beauty and hope it brings. I am so glad you finally did this song, one of my favorite Alabama songs of all time.
I have said for years that my sister does God’s work on earth. She is a social worker for child protective services. I have met some of the kids she had helped and seeing them made me appreciate what my sister does every day to give these kids the best life possible. Ideally, that is by getting their birth parents the help they need to be a functional family, but sometimes that means finding these kids a forever home that will make them feel loved.

This song was moms first dance song at my wedding 23 years ago. She was my angel when I was going through an addiction. At this point I was sober about 9 Years, and I cried through the whole dance. 32 Years sober now, and Mom has since passed. Thanks for playing this.

This is one of my favorite songs it’s amazing
I saw them perform this at the Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach, SC back around 2003 or '04. Randy invited every child in the auditorium to come down to the stage, either just to be on stage with the band or sing with them if they wished to do so. Talk about a beautiful & heartwarming sight!

This song. This song always gets me. It is so powerful. Alabama is incredible and this is just one of many songs that show it. But this will always be one of my favorites of theirs.
Alabama is the first country band that I fell in love with way back in 1981! Have followed them ever since. Have also seen them 33 times in concert!!
