This was my wedding song. My husband and I went to see Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on our first date. This was the theme to that movie so it was kind of the perfect choice for our wedding. Next year will be our 30th anniversary and we’re still going strong.❤
Congrats!
This is so lovely. Congratulations to you both!
did you know Bryan Adams wrote a song with Gene Simmons on a KISS album that Gene sings ? it's called _War Machine" kicks ass!
@@robotto8858 Thanks!
@@kimberlymichellethomas9964 Thank you!
Well, now you HAVE to watch "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves", which featured this song on the soundtrack (and it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song in 1991). You'll love it - it stars Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Alan Rickman (Snape from Harry Potter), and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. For your next Bryan Adams song, I nominate "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven" or, if you're feeling frisky, "So Happy It Hurts" from his 2021 album of the same name.
Yes!! Please, please, please for Robin Hood!!
The real video is even better. The cinematography and move clips
"Snape in Harry Potter"? He was Hans Gruber in the original Die Hard, Alexander in Galaxy Quest, Harry in Love Actually, Elliot in Quigley Down Under. Judge in Sweeney Todd.
@@Head-ck4hu I know... and I know they've seen Die Hard, but as they are now more than halfway through the Harry Potter series (and should be through Deathly Hallows within the next few weeks), I figured this is how J&A would best know him. Not taking anything away from Alan, he's an incredible actor. I can only imagine what role in Game of Thrones he might have played if he'd lived...
"Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven" is a great choice for next song. Also "The Best of Me" is one of his best I reckon
His “ Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman “ gives me goosebumps. And his duet with Tina Turner. “ It’s Only Love “ is fire!
"Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" is so good! I think you would like it. A lot.
Yes thats a good one!
I just came to suggest “have you ever really loved a woman” too. It’s so good.
Yes to both of these!
Yes! “Have you ever really loved a woman”!! Soooo romantic! ❤
“Please Forgive Me” and “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?” are Bryan Adams must. His love songs are just *chefs kiss”
EMOTIONAL VOICE 💞
This is one of my favorites. Bryan Adam's voice was made for this song.
That's the great thing about writing a song for yourself. You know what you can sound good doing.
Canada so proud of Bryan adams this song is a masterpiece it was in the movie Robin Hood Bryan was nominated for an Oscar he didn’t win which is mind boggling
That song, that voice, that songwriter! 16 weeks Number 1 in the UK, you can call it a huge hit! a HUGE hit!
It wasn't huge... it was a GIGANTIC hit globally.
7 weeks at #1 in the USA, and #1 for the year 1991. Probably #1 for the year in the UK as well. Songs didn't spend that many weeks at #1 in the USA back then, so 7 weeks was actually phenominal.
Didn't it break the record?
The running joke was, 'is Bryan Adams still number 1' for years after 1991.
@@bettyhuback2518 yes it did
Brian Adams is very underrated as a performer he belongs in the hall of fame definitely
It’s Bryan
Here in the UK, this song was number one in the chart for 16 weeks in a row, and probably stayed in the top 100 for best part of a year. That kind of chart performance is unheard of these days
You are correct that nobody has matched that feat - Drake came close in 2016 with 15 weeks. But you're wrong about chart performance. Songs now spend record amounts of time in the top 100 in the UK. The Killers' Mr Brightside has been there solidly for Years now!
I remember it well. Absolute anthem.
" Please Forgive Me " is my favorite Bryan Adams song. This classic is epic.
I second this!!! 🩷
YEEEESSSSSSS!
Mine too !
Great song
@@rodmanschroeder9217 It sure is.
“Cuts like a Knife” by Bryan Adams was the jam back in the day.
Yes!!! Cuts like a knife . Please react to that. ❤ to U 2 ..LY
"Take me as I am" should be everyone's motto in life.
This was my wedding song. It's been 31 years now. I have chills and tears in my eyes now. Such a great song.
Congrats!
Agreed! 41 years for us!
"Do I Have To Say the Words", "Thought I Died and Gone To Heaven", and "Straight From the Heart", are magical by Brian Adams
The 6 minute version of "Do I Have To Say the Words" is amazing.
That was our wedding song .
It’s Bryan
@@bryanrhenderson6510 🤷
This is the ringtone my Mom has for my Dad. Their 32nd anniversary is in April.
Bryan Adams is to 90s movies what Kenny Loggins is to 80s movies. Huge theme song hits. This was the love theme to Kevin Costner's Robin Hood. I was obsessed with it. Amazing song. ❤️
That would be a great movie reaction
Bryan was supposed to sing Danger Zone but refused because he's anti-military, so Loggins finally sang it.
I sang this song to my wife on our wedding day. We were together for what seemed like forever and no time at all before Cancer took her from us. But I still sing this song for her every time it comes across the radio and I still mean every word. It's amazing when a song gets a feeling exactly right and this one does.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s beautiful that you still sing it for her.❤
My heart brakes for you. I can't imagine losing my husband.
I’m so sorry, 🙏🏻❤️
Tobias, I know how you feel. Certain songs bring back memories of dancing with my late husband in our living room. Cancer took my Jim too. Cancer sucks...😢
@@KimNevelzer It absolutely does. Glad that you found someone to dance with for a time, though. I wouldn't trade a single moment, I hope yours was like that too.
You can't imagine how huge this song was at the time. It was the #2 song of ALL TIME.
(1st was White Christmas)
You might want to watch the movie that it's from...
"Robin Hood" with Kevin Costner.
Currently stands at #13 - but who's counting? ;)
Love the song hate the movie, robin hood with an American accent just grinds on you after a while lol love Bryan adams though
Also, stongly recommend " It's only Love " ,a duet between Tina Turner and Bryan Adams,it rocks out.
He’s on tour again coming this summer. His concerts are intimate and his voice is perfect. Cuts like a knife, Summer of 69, Straight from the Heart, One night love affair. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is one of my absolute favorite songs. Bryan Adams voice, OMG that rasp.
This song was from Bryan's 🇨🇦 6th album, Waking up the Neighbour's 1991. It was written in 45 minutes by Bryan and Mutt Lange, Shania Twain's ex husband.
This song had enormous success and was Number 1 in 19 countries.
Brian's vocals are so raw yet tender in this admission of love. Outstanding Classic Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Bryan Adams is responsible for the most romantic lyric in music: "When you can see your unborn children in her eyes," from Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?
This shit sucks ass.
Adams is incredible. I'm 33 years old (despite looking very much younger in my pic - it was taken 3 months ago) & my mum pretty much raised me on Bryan Adams. He is quite incredible. Wonderful vocals & beautiful lyricism that suits his voice perfectly. I would never tell my mum how much I appreciate her inadvertent musical education bequeathed unto me (mainly because I don't want to over-inflate her ego) but I'm actually very grateful to have been privy to her musical leanings whilst growing up 🙂.
This was number 1 for so long (11 weeks!) It was also the theme tune for the movie "Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves". Which you now have to watch. ❤🎬🎼
Yeah, this song was a monster hit. You literally couldn't avoid it that summer of 1991.
If you are from the UK it was actually 16 weeks at number 1
16 weeks as the UK’s Nr 1. It’s in Guinness world Record book.
@@ines_uk yeah.... I don't think I had my gigs (glasses) on when I read that! So the 6 cudda looked like a 1.
This song holds the record in the UK charts as the most consecutive weeks at number one. 16 weeks in total. Much love from England 🏴
Bryan Adams is a true Canadian icon. He started off as a child prodigy in the music industry, starting off at a pretty young age, and emerging as a true powerhouse. Today, his music is ingrained into our nation's culture, and is one of my favourite Canadian musicians. I love singing along to his songs, and his concerts are always awesome. Delve deep into his catalogue, Rob Squad! you'll love what you'll find!
This song and Right here waiting by Richard Marx were and still are my wifes and I's songs.........Going on 31 years of marriage this year. Bryan Adams is so amazing. You really need to react to more of his stuff. He also has a duet with Tina Turner that yall would absolutely love.
Oh yes I LOVE that duet!!!
Congrats!
Love this one. Please check out his song “Have You Ever Really Loved A Women”. Bryan Adams does so many soundtracks and that is one of them!
Such a great song!
Brian Adams in concert is always amazing….. He really knows how to entertain an audience.
It’s Bryan
My first concert for me 1992-93 it would have been. I was in jr.high at the time
Bryan is amazing. His duet with Barbara Streisand “I’ve finally found someone “ is awesome
Another theme song to another great movie ❤
This was a great reaction you guys. You MUST listen to Bryan and Tina Turner "It's Only Love" duet. It's a killer!!
I've been to several of his concerts, and he never disappoints!! First time was 1984 Toronto and last time was Nov. 2022 in my hometown.
Saw him in 1984 as well here in the U.S.
“Have You Really Ever Loved A Woman”. Bryan Adams at his finest. What a sexy, sultry song…and sung with that amazing, raspy voice…perfection! Wowee!
I’m so glad you got the long version with that beautiful, powerful guitar solo at the end. This might be the most passionate rock love song ever written. Much love ❤️
One of my favorite Bryan Adams songs, a great one for a reaction, is 'Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?', from the sound track of the 1994 movie _Don Juan DeMarco,_ starring Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando and Faye Dunaway. In fact, that would be a very special movie to react to!
Both song and movie, highly romantic!
Keith Scott is a criminally underappreciated guitarist. One of my faves.
Totally agree!
Absolutely !! K-man 🙌🙌
Just noticed he was playing a PRS in this video. Love my PRS. Always think Strat when I think Keith Scott. Just goes to show that tone is in the hands.
I dont know how popular this was in the US, but it spent 16 weeks at number 1 in the UK charts, this song is the definition of a mega-hit
This song was sooo popular in the US. It was on the radio constantly.
Was the #1 song of 1991 here in the us
Probably one of the greatest love songs from one person to another.
Keith Scott, the lead guitarist, is one of my favorites. His solos always, always serve the song, nothing flashy. He's half of what makes me like Bryan Adams so much.
Keith Scott is so underrated in my mind!
Same!!! I love Keith Scott and had the biggest crush on him as a teenager!
not half...I'd say 25%.
For you maybe. Try to imagine "Run To You", "Heaven", "Cuts Like A Knife", "I'm Ready" and many other songs without Keith and what he brings to the songs. His tone and technique are what gives Bryans songs a lot of their identity.
Bryan had a killer band back in the day
My husband and I will be married 30 years this April and this is OUR SONG ❤️. It also happens to be the love theme of Robin Hood and Marian from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, which we love. Our other love song is She Is His Only Need by Wynonna Judd, because it is so much like my sweet husband. I'd love to see you guys react to that one too. ❤️ I've always had to be very careful what I show him that I like because he always said, if you want it, then I need it. He is such a generous soul. ❤️
30 years this June here. Congrats to you!🎉
@Joel Hammond Thank you! Congrats to you too!
Congrats! 30 years for me next year!
40 years for me in Nov, was a teenage bride
Been married for over 26 years now. I can hold it together thru out this sing. Right up to the guitar solo at the end. That is when the my eyes start to water up.
Thank you both so much for checking this song out and appreciating it for exactly what it is - an expertly crafted and performed power ballad. It’s also a great example of how space can be wonderful in a solo, and sometimes less truly is more. One of my favorite guitar solos, and one of my favorite songs:) It is always such a pleasure to watch you two enjoy music, thank you for sharing and Happy (early) Valentine’s Day!!
Check Bryan Adams AND Barbra Streisand duet “I Finally Found Someone”. So gorgeous. Two voices you don’t expect to mesh. But that’s what each of them always does - collaborations that you think “will never work” and then they’re perfection.
And from the movie “The Mirror Has Two Faces” - check it! All-star cast. Great example of Barbra directing and acting.
@@jenniferkasowicz9463 yes I love that movie, and that song.
Hi from New Zealand 😊
Yes, please!!!!
Yes, please!!!!!!
This song was at number one for weeks and weeks when it came out. At the time, in 1991, it was the longest running number one since 1983. The movie it’s from, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was pretty popular as well. It would be a good one to check out on the movie channel, and has actors who should definitely be familiar to you guys including Kevin Costner as the good guy and Alan Rickman (Snape) as the bad guy, of course
I can’t remember which Bryan Adams songs you’ve done, but one of my faves from him is “Please Forgive Me.” His song “Heaven” is also nice.
I will cut his heart out with a spoon! Only Alan Rickman could deliver that line.
16 consecutive weeks to be exact and that record still stands to this day! That's how good this song is.
So true I remember they played it so much I finally got sick of hearing it lol
There was a joke at the time. " What was Nelson Mandelas first question when he was released from prison? IS BRYAN ADAMS STILL NUMBER ONE!"
This was my wedding song also! My wife and I have been huge Bryan Adams fans since before we started dating and loved this song when it was released. We celebrated our 30th anniversary last year.
Congrats!
This was my wedding song way back in 1996! My wife and I still love it
Congrats
This song was a HUGE hit. It stayed at #1 in the US for 7 weeks. It is from the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which was also a big hit for Kevin Costner, who stars in it. Funny thing about that movie is that Costner tries an english accent, but essentially quits trying.
J & Amber, you'll love his "Straight From The Heart" and "This Time"!! ballad and banger!
I love his band. His guitarist shreds. Drums are powerful. Awesome stuff.
He is freaking awesome
Can't have a much better wedding song than this
This!! This is the song my husband dedicated to me when we first started dating. He still hums it to me. And Bryan Adams, what a voice!!
Once again, great reaction guys. I'm in Australia and this song stayed at No. 1 on the Aussie Singles Charts for 11 weeks (a record) when it released here in 1991. This was our wedding song when my wife and I got married 3 yrs later.
Thank you for finally getting to this one. Probably his career defining song.
This was the first cassette tape I bought on my own as a high schooler. I loved this song. So good!
Probably my favorite Bryan Adams song among a generous catalog of superb work! He really shines here! Great reaction! ❤
This is my favorite song! Not many people can say they were loved like this.
Bryan Adams knows how to sing this song! You have to see the movie “ Robin Hood” it was great! The song fits right in! I love to see you all appreciate the older music! Doesn’t it rock?
This is my song to my kids.. All are grown now.. But the lines "I would fight for you, Id lie for you, walk the wire for you, yeah I'd die for you" are exactly the way I feel about them. Considering that their dad was very abusive and horrible to my boys and yes I would lie for them..
@@liveandletdie7187 …. mother love … so sweet!
Love the exquisite guitar solos on this song. Good song.
This song was a number 1 hit for 16 consecutive weeks in the UK. It was impossible to escape it at the time.
To Rachel, my first love, for whom this was our song...wherever you are, I hope you are happy and have led a wonderful life. You will always have a piece of my heart.
I love Bryan Adam's great voice this song is from the Kevin Costner movie Robin hood Prince of thieves
I’ve actually never seen this version of the video! The Robin Hood movie version was in such heavy rotation I probably saw it over 500 times. 😂
Great song, crappy movie.
@Sheila Holmes the movie wasn't the best but certainly wasn't the worst of the Robin Hood movies it was better than Russell Crowe and Jamie Fox's version the worst thing about Costners version was his accent or lack there of
This is indeed was our wedding song. 1994 and going strong.
Same here! 1994! ❤
I see everybody talking about please forgive me and have you really ever loved a woman, so, I'll go with "let's make a night to remember". You guys are gonna love it
He had so many great songs. Fabulous voice!
Our wedding song 1994 and going strong. He is great live as well.
Congrats!
Wedding song of the 90s!! Plus a Robin Hood soundtrack. A number 1 song in just about every country. A canada icon!! Wife and I seen him 3x, including once as a headlliner outdoors in the pouring rain. He said as long as we're gutted it out , he was gonna stay. Until lightning got too close.
And this man is going on tour in June!! I saw him live in an outdoor venue about a year before this was released, and he held the crowd in his hands. His voice has always done me in. Love this song. It was everywhere all the time. Very emotive and great instrumentals to accompany his beautiful voice. There are so many good ones, "Straight From the Heart" or "Please Forgive Me" or my favorite "Heaven."
Damn…..LOVE that you did the long version of this beautiful song!!! It’s so much more impactful….❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love theme to Robinhood, Prince of Thieves…. So good, both the movie and the song.
One of the greatest power ballads. My favorite Bryan Adams song is Run to You, which I would recommend. Also check out the main theme to Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and listen for the change that you will undoubtedly recognize.
Bryan adams one of my favourite singer.make my childhood better. alwiz the best
Bryan Adams is just a great artist all around artist!
He sounds even better live. ❤
Love this song AND Bryan Adams! 💕💕💕
Probably my fav of Bryan Adams. Love hearing this song with the video with the movie excerpts. It makes it even more powerful. And he’s not only a great singer… but a great writer… he writes his songs and that can’t be beaten.
This is a really beautiful song and he has the perfect voice for it.
1991 Song of the Year- it was #1 for a record at that time of 11 straight weeks.
Saw Bryan Adams live in the early-mid 80's. 80's a little of a blur but it was in Worcester, Massachusetts and he opened up for Journey. Hell of a show, he sounds great live. Great choice!
This came out when I met my husband of 30 years.
It’s our song.
We got to see Bryan live in Tn out on a lawn and dance to it.
It was literally our own private concert in that moment and we will always remember it as one of the most special moments ever.
Ps: Bryan sounds almost better all this time later live. Unbelievable talent
I got chills from this song and the way he sings it.
Same
One of his biggest hits from the Waking Up The Neighbourhood album. Also check out Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman, When You’re Gone, Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, Please Forgive Me, Cloud Number Nine & So Happy It Hurts (the last one is the title track from his latest album released last year)
I missed this being over played on MTV, so I still love it to pieces despite watching Robin Hood Prince of Thieves way too many times in high school ;) which also had one of the best orchestral intros ever, btw. Thanks y'all XOXO
Man every friend's wedding I went to back in the day..This song was like a cornerstone being played.
Bryan Adams - Run to You kills it
This song came out when I was in the 6th grade. It was my favorite song that year and for many years after that.😊
"One Night Love Affair", "The Heat of the Night" and "18 Til' I Die" are very good songs not so often mentioned from Bryan Adams' long and wide excellent catalogue
One Night Love Affair is so good. One of my favorites. Keith Scott kills it on his guitar solo on this song!
Bryan is a lyrical genius
My Mum and Dads Wedding Song from 1993 ❤️
I love Bryan Adams. "Thought I'd Died And Gone To Heaven" "Is Your Mama Gonna Miss Ya" another 2 favs of mine you should check out 🙂 His Waking Up The Neighbours Album was blasted in our house by my parents growing up!
Congrats to your parents!
This is a great song! One of the most requested songs to every guy from every girl in high school when I was growing up. You have to see the movie Robin Hood prince of Thieves
I just noticed that you two have reacted to George Michael and Elton John individually. But you should check out George Michael and Elton John together, they collaborated on a song called Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me that you would absolutely LOVE
Love Anything Bryan Adams! True Classic here. :) Thanks for the Reaction Guys!
the guitar on this. the emotion he plays with, the notes, the style …
I adore this song. Probably my favourite song ever. It was showcased in the Kevin Costner film ‘Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’., that also stars the AMAZING Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber and Severus Snape) and is one of my favourite movies. You previously watched ‘Robin Hood Men in Tights which was a parody of RHPOT, but I’d love to see you guys react to RHPOT.
I've never heard this extended version before. Awesome! I love the guitar in it. Our wedding song was Always by Atlantic Starr. At the point where it said, "Let's go make a family," my cousin's little toddler strolled across the dance floor. it was perfect timing and so cute. I'd love to see you react to the original video. The video and song are beautiful.
This song still holds the record for number of weeks at number 1 in the UK... 16 weeks!!! 😎👍🏻
Our unit declared that this was our unofficial spirit song on our drive from Saudi Arabia to liberate Kuwait in 1991.
Great song choice! 💞 I’m sure your going to love it !
So glad you guys did this long version and not the radio version. The musical part with the guitar solo is just so good and adds to the atmosphere of the song. There are so many great Bryan Adams songs you should hear. You should definitely react to his duet with Tina Turner and you're going to love "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". The music video stars Cecilie Thomsen, Bryan's girlfriend at the time.
Bryan Adams is amazing. I've seen him in concert many times and he is going on the road soon with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts opening for him. I have tickets to 2 shows in June. Can't wait!
This is the version of the song I prefer because of the instrumental ending. Its the version that appears on Bryans Waking up the Neighbours album. Theres a more radio friendly version on the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves soundtrack. I was a senior in high school when this came out and I had been a Bryan Adams fan for way longer than anyone else my age just because I liked actual music and not the schlocky crap that some radio stations played. It took a hugely mammoth song to unseat Everything I do from its throne and it didnt come until 1992 when Whitney Houston released her cover of Dolly Pardons I will always love you. It took even longer to unseat that song when in 1997 there was some movie about a sinking boat that had some little song by Celine Dion.
I've always been a big fan of Bryan Adams, his voice is just brilliant 🤘🎶🤘🎶the album waking up the neighbors is awesome.
Bryans voice make me melt 😍While we’re on the topic of Bryan Admas you gotta listen to Back to You. All the instruments are non electric and the sound is amazing. I also recommend On a day like today, inside out, black pearl, all I want is you, and though I’d died and gone to heaven. Honestly all his songs are great 😊
