I use a cuticle cutter to cut the zip tie.

Cool . . . I have no idea what that is! I'll have to google it. :)

Are the cabbage patch dolls sold at target and Walmart the same quality as the $70 dolls sold on the cabbage patch website?

There are three kinds of 'babies' sold from the Cabbagepatchkids.com site. Babyland Exclusives (BLE) are quite different than those sold in the stores, although both have a vinyl head and fabric body. BLE's tend to be larger and of a higher quality. Both kinds of dolls are made by the same company. The more expensive handstitched kids are all fabric and made by hand. Does that help?

@@Brekkeb thank you so much. I purchased a cabbage patch baby from Target and my daughter somehow cracked the head. I will definitely look at the exclusive babies.

honestly, Haillie, if you want a well-priced kid that will take a beating and keep on ticking, get a vintage kid. You can buy them from a collector or get one locally. They're much better made and hundreds of people can clean and fix them up for you. You can get a common kid in good shape from $10 - $40 depending on your area.
