  • This beautiful bowl has lovely deep tones and is especially useful for bringing your awareness back to your body and calming the mind
Use headphones or good quality speakers to experience this sound at its best, we welcome feedback or just tick 'like' if you've enjoyed the track
Our aim is to keep the meditation simple and achievable and allow you to experience the sound in your own way; simple guidelines for the meditation are set out below.
Sit in a comfortable position for you, allow your shoulders to drop and rest your hands in your lap or on your knees., keeping your body relaxed with your back straight perhaps leaning a little away from the back of your chair
Take a few deep breaths allowing your out-breath to be longer than your in-breath, feel the rise and fall of your body as you breathe in and out.
Return to your body breathing naturally, feel the rhythm of your body, the familiar movement of breathing
Now place your attention on the sound of the bowl, fully focus on the sound, following each strike
Notice the quality of the sound, how the sound pulses gently before it disappears
Notice if the sound affects any part of your body more than another
As you listen to the sound of the bowl notice your mind calming and your body relaxing
When your mind wanders as it will do, bring your attention back to your breath for a moment or two, notice the familiar rise and fall of your body then focus again on the sound
Notice how your body feels at the end of this sound meditation
Notice if there have been particular thoughts that you have
Give yourself a couple of minutes to simply sit before beginning gentle movements, perhaps gently rubbing your hands together, flexing your toes and circling your ankles
Finally place your hands together over your heart area and acknowledge this time you've given yourself to relax and refresh
    Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
Best wishes - Pam and Jurek

I know when I use my headphones, I can hear a bit of static (white noise) coming from your mic as the tone recedes. Not trying to sound like an ungrateful snob or jerk but a true ascended master of meditation can hear everything. So you may want to either adjust the reverb and treble audio settings or possibly invest in a more expensive higher quality mic that has noise cancellation features. But thank you for actually doing these lower tones without mixing any high pitched bowls, bells and whistles like the other youtubers have done. I don't know why it's so hard for other channels to just use 1 single deep singing bowl and hit the bowl in a repetitive pattern for 30mins straightforward for each individual frequency by itself. It is actually a easier task to complete and record.

Thank you for writing to us - we appreciate when people take the time to let us know how they experience our videos although I don't always see comments when they arrive so sometimes take a while to reply. It's a great bowl and I love using this bowl when working 1-1 with people. I think it's one Jurek discovered quite some time ago, we tend to use the lower frequency bowls more in the winter months so it's good to have finally recorded one to use any time. Wishing you all the best - Pam and Jurek

The dominant frequency of this bowl is 100 hz. Like all of our bowls it has a dominant frequency and then what we call partials which are different frequencies

@@ignasivila1879 this is someone Jurek has bought several bowls from in the past - I haven’t checked so not sure what bowls he has at the moment. We only buy bowls that have sound clips when they are advertised, we listen for quality of tone, the speed at which they resonate - sometimes you get bowls with a dominant frequency and two, three sometimes more frequencies and they all resonate at slightly different speeds - we’ve learned which sounds we enjoy listening to.
A good book to read is Frank Perry Himalayan Sound Revelations. And of course practice mindful listening, really paying attention to sounds. Hope this helps - best wishes Pam
