He also shares his hunting story from this past fall, where he tackled the challenge of taking a Desert Bighorn Sheep with his bow in Nevada. It's encouraging to hear how other hunters deal with Murphy. I'd rather see how you overcame the obstacles than watch a video that portrays everything working as planned.

I would say that’s one of the hardest things about being a successful tree stand hunter. Sitting there, seeing nothing, trying not to convince yourself that you could be turning up deer (or elk) in some other fashion. Why we do it ? Who knows, but damn it’s awesome

Interesting that you talk about how much easier it is the harvest and Elk vs a Mule Deer. What I find very interesting is if you look at harvest odds in Filtering 2.0 then you will see that harvest odds for Mule Deer are typically 40-60 percent while elk are 10-25 percent. Would love your guys input on why you think that is. Sure hunting the top end of each species may be a different story but the stats don’t lie, it is typically more than 2 folds as hard to harvest an Elk as a Mule Deer.
