Hello Friend! Great Video as always! I have one question. From my side i am only interested in APRS and i am between this receiver and the LANCHONLH HG-UV98. What is your opinion? I know the former can send SMS, but the latter seems promising on a lower price and a nice weather report User Interface for APRS. Thank you! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

How to read the strength of the received signal for report purposes? "s-meter" does not say much during analog communication in the form of bars. Is it possible to switch to S?

Mine came in with USB-C battery. Love it but any time I try to delete the pre-programmed channels from WIMO (germany) it loses its marbles. I can edit the codeplug freely otherwise. I am a beginner so might be doing something wrong.

I need some help. I have the Same D878ii radio but i can't get it talking to a Zumspot (hotspot). I see some DMR gateway traffic on it so i assume the issue is something in the radio programming. Any suggestions would be helpful. I did a screen share with Anytone employees and they couldn't figure it out either.

I would like to know if two of these can communicate between each other through digital signal on their own without connecting to repeaters and other devices?
I mean like if i just put two analogue radios at the same channel and they can communicate completely independent

@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I think it would be anyway better to have the anytone. Also we have budget from the boss to buy decent devices. I'm also planning to use mine with my motorcycle mates when we're riding to the countryside or abroad

You need to get a MMDVM Hotdpot or connect to a Repeater for DMR this is a very complicated Radio .

All modes are fun DMR is the busiest I recommend a hotspot then you have all repeater links at home you choose what u like .

Most wiresx repeaters are connected to America link, DMR has talk groups for America Link, KCwide, Shyhub, CQ UK and more. I like my Anytone more than my FTM300DR, it's much easier to switch rooms.
